      >apple cash
      name a more thirdie development
all brown thirdie shitholes were too poor to switch to card terminals at first but they're low trust enough that switching to lower overhead methods such as pay by app was an absolute necessity.

all firstie c**ts adopted card payments decades ago but are in no hurry to switch to app payments because the infrastructure already exists. secondie c**ts switched to terminals around the same time.

        Anonymous

There is no "switch" or "requirement", basically everywhere accepts and has accepted cards for a long time, with no sort of pressure to switch.
Its just that most places also accept digital transfer as well in addition to the card reader machines. And generally its our national digital transfer stuff, Pix, which is so easyto setup even hobos can use.

I stopped using physical money in 2016 when I turned 18 and got a credit card you have no idea what you're talking about, we've been use cards for a very long and now use both cards and now also use apps for payments. I can get my own credit card terminal for the equivalent of 4 dollars.

this is what being "advanced" is?

      Anonymous

they're also basic things that exist everywhere for years. just some countries are resistant to implementing them.

The government can control your physical money and make it worthless anyway if it wants to, you're only really protected if you have most of it in crypto or in assets like gold.

that's an unlikely scenario. there are actual advantages with cash.

Do we really need face scanning to enter our homes? Just use a key homie, literally inventing a solution for a made up problem.
I truly don't understand this obsession loads of people have to digitalize everything, you're literally giving your freedom and privacy away for some minor benefits with all the down sides of software.

The actual reason America doesn't have as advanced digital banking is because the way their retail financial industry is structured.

Rather than having a few wealthy megabanks that everyone uses who can coordinate with each other and afford large IT projects, the US banking industry has historically been much more fragmented and small scale. As a result, its much harder for there to be industry wide programs and initiatives.

This is being consolidated in more recent times but even then its nowhere near the levels you see in Europe. In third world c**ts, they never had super robust banking in the first place so its not hard to make a modern bank from scratch.

      Anonymous

And to add to this, third world governments have a vested interest to invest in digital banking capabilities since it makes graft harder and reduces administration costs. Politicians can claim to have helped the common man and make the country more attractive for businesses in a single move. If you want to be cynical, you can argue it also centralises power in government hands.

                That's just reality bro, sorry.
São Sebastião isn't coming back and your own royal family chose Brazil over Portugual.
By returning to Brazil you could enjoy cheaper goods like food and natural resources. You would get investment to become a launching pad for brazilian + portuguese products into europe and north africa. As things stands you're just the backyards of bigger european economies that are themselves fighting recession.

We have more in common with other europeans than you, most portuguese just want you gone. We'd rather have an iberian union than ally with you.

Face scan to enter a building is dystopian nonsense. I'll stick with my backwards country where I don't have to worry about Windows 98 crashing locking me out of my own building

Simply having cashless transactions and ongoing construction doesn't make a country advanced--more than half of the observations in OP's pic are true of India, too.
