I live in Philadelphia and if this was full of Middle class white people it could be so nice. It's architecture is older and more unique than most of America, and it's has a great city layout. It's just been broken for decades sadly.

Colombia struck me as a country with tremendous development potential during my time there. But the people are so simplistic and low IQ, they are happy living crowded on top of each other in ramshackle slums or lazing in hammocks on their jungle homesteads.

I live in an Italian burg that's part of the "Borghi più Belli d'Italia" association, it's surrounded by vast and wild mountains and surrounded by woodland.
I will inevitably have to live because South Italy is a socioeconomic graveyard. If I stay here I will die a neet.

Not much better in the norf fellow italgay. I live in one of the richest provinces of northern Italy and the situation is dire. Out of control immigration, crime, widespread "working poor" poverty and a catastrophic local culture of people who don't study, read books or travel anywhere despite having the means to do so. Half my neighbors never traveled anywhere, not even Rome. The old historical city centre was bulldozed and raped by concrete from the 50s. I feel like living in the ruins of an old civilization.

im op and italgay as well. i live in the south in a place with lots of ancient greek remains and artifacts, but yes the problem is the economy. i don't think people are to blame as much, the only thing they do is have total disregard of rules and throw trash in the middle of the street.
but despite that, it's very clear that the reason it's a shithole is that the ruling class clearly mismanaged and enriched themselves instead of doing something for the community.
if you govern the place like a shithole, the ignorant people are gonna start believing it actually is. they don't know how rich of an history we have. basically a "neighbor's grass is always greener" situation, the average person here always talks about how great america, germany, or literally anywhere else is. they have no idea it's better than all of those places combined. they have been brainwashed.

If I was an italian in the south I would do all I can to get to America, and either try to get a wfh job and move back eventually or make enough money to return and live like a king. I was making $88K as a security guard at 24 and when I told people in Italy they legit did not believe me

    > actual 'irish' culture unlike the r*public
    > folk music in most bars

Problem is there's no money, all the towns are ugly as frick due to bad economy and bombing during the troubles. Also as much as I love my ulsterbros, there's basically no taste for better things. People only dress in tracksuits, eat packaged trash from spar and build grey pebbledash blocks. There is zero desire, taste or market for improvement. But it would take vanishingly little to make NI a total beauty that drew millions of tourists per year.

Well I guess the downside is if we had lots of tourists all the Black folk and gypsies from the republic would come up to start stealing and raping. But to be honest that's a matter of time regardless. Over half the hotel bed space in Belfast has been dedicated to processing immigrants for over a year now so they're speed running browning NI after the last census showed how white we still were.

So far our immigration is the chinese who are fine, fat americans doing GoT stuff, which is fine and sometimes brits coming to drink which is fun too.

I'm afraid actual irish culture exists only on whites and experientially has almost nothing to do with views on the monarchy. It's about the ways of being emergent from celtic genomes. Keep sucking off your dead Noah, that black Black person isn't coming back from his storm drain lmao.

Seattle gay as well. Peak Seattle was 90-2000’s. The junky shithole parts are only a few blocks but at least half of the city are insufferable c**ts. The death spiral started with mayor nichols. We can’t even eat fish out of Puget sound anymore. All of our salmon is Atlantic. The outlying areas are getting way better though. If anyone is visiting please check out Tacoma, Olympia, Bremerton, port Townsend, Bellingham, enumclaw, or mt Vernon for the tulip festival. The San Juan’s are great if you have time.

Honestly though Seattle is at a tipping point. More of us are fed the frick up and realizing that if cops aren’t enforcing any laws for the homeless then they won’t be enforcing laws for the rest of us either. I’m guessing that we are going to see more vigilante groups soon.

Not him but I live in aberdeen. It's bad but not awful. A lot of homelessness and tweakers, especially for a town of just 10k. Up the hill it's generally pretty safe but down near the river there's a lot of theft going on. Downtown is mostly dead because of it. The college in town offers one free college course a semester though, which is nice. If you've got any questions I'd be happy to give you an insight
