Anywhere in the US, where should I live?

where should I live? 24 year old male with a high paying software engineer job ($170k/year base) who can live anywhere in the us.

Important things for me:
- good dating scene / ample pussy
- not too many crazy antifa types
- proximity to outdoor activities (skiing / mountains and or beaches)
- good place to make new friends and build a community
- place where I could purchase a nice house for under 800k over the next couple years

What would you morons suggest?

mmm. Best I can come up with is either Denver or Boise. Even then, both of those places are still pretty pozzed. Not as pozzed as say...Seattle, Portland, LA, NYC, etc. But any decent sized city is going to be inherently pozzed unless you want to live in the sweaty ballsack that is the US south.

This being said, I loved Denver when I lived there. The thinnest and healthiest women in the US, which i suspect has something to do with the altitude as fatties seem to struggle with altitude sickness. Thats speculation on my part but statistically, Denver/Colorado does have the least amount of obese people in the country.

Wyoming is higher and has fat women. I don't think it's altitude but spirituality.

And on that note, learn to love the heat and move to Orlando, Pensacola, Tampa, or DUUUVAL just please remember why you're coming in the first place, and don't try to ruin our state.

The heat ain't shit after two years, and we have beaches. You'll be fine.

Obviously if you're from NY or California none of this applies; please stay in the shithole you've helped create.

I am a no-degree self-taught web developer and went from 110k to 160k recently. I told recruiters that was my minimum, did a few interviews and got an offer in a few weeks. Great company I'd never have heard of or applied to if a recruiter didn't present it. 10 years of experience definitely helped but still, this boy didn't even graduate college.

i know this is bait, but computer science is largely an engineering degree focused on theoretical computation, language semantics, algorithmic complexity, etc..

It's like half way to a pure math degree, could probably double major with only an extra year.

It literally is in major American universities. 2nd year CS students do physics 2 and calculus 2. If they do some math electives it's a bit over 50% there.

              >2nd year CS students do physics 2 and calculus 2. If they do some math electives it's a bit over 50% there.

oh wow, you do calc 2, so advanced! fricking accounting majors were required to take calc 2 at my school.

calc 2 is nothing. At most American universities, a BS in pure math will require differential equations, multivariable calc, 2 semesters of real analysis, 2 semesters of abstract algebra, mathematical statistics, 1 semester of complex analysis, 1 semester of topology, a research seminar, and at least 15 to 20 credits of upper level math electives

none of those are required at most CS undergrad programs in the US. the only common math requirements are calc 1 and 2, linear algebra, discrete math, and maybe a basic course in statistics/probability. those are all considered relatively easy classes in the grand scheme of all things

you don't know what the frick you're talking about. CS is the designated STEM major for morons. Whenever people can't handle electrical or mechanical engineering, they most commonly switch to computer science and their GPAs go way up

New Hampshire meets all of these, the further north you go it gets less populated, older, cheaper, and more outdoorsy. For you I'd stick to Rockingham county or the Nashua area which have easy access to northern Boston suburbs (and Boston itself), and is still only about 90 minutes from the mountains. Beaches are closer, if you're in Portsmouth they're right there. Housing is considered expensive but $800k is still more than enough to get a very nice home on 2-6 acres.

It's a pretty conservative area politically, due to a large population of people that have left Massachusetts for it's politics and/or taxes over the past 50 years.

if your number one priority is literally having dating/sex then nyc is where you want to go. there are half a million more single women than men in the city, and they're all aware of the scarcity, competing for guys. every kind of girl you want. every class, color, and country is represented. doesn't matter if you like bars, clubs or apps you'll have more options than you'll know what to do with. nowhere really compares when it comes to this dimension. if you're lame they'll move on to the next guy quick so you learn how to play the game real fast, sink or swim kind of thing.

there are many other positives to nyc especially if you have money but since that was your number one priority i thought i'd explain this at least.

i lived there for 8 years. if you have any questions i might check this thread later. i've lived in san francisco and chicago too.

NYC has about half a million millionaires in their 20s, driving luxury cars and living in bougie high-rises. This is who you're competing against. Personally I did well in NYC once I was making over 400K/year, but less than that and you're non-competitive in the dating scene, unless you have other features that significantly make up for it

Assuming this isn't a LARP, how'd you do it? How did your peers (the half a million millionaires in their 20s) do it? Is college a meme? What is worth studying/learning? Is it pretty much "make it as an influencer or accept that you're an NPC?"

Explain it to me like I'm 5, because I've taken stock of my life and I've realized that entirely too much time has gone towards existing for it's own sake.

I'd like to elaborate on this, OP, (attractive) American women have extremely high standards because they have essentially unfettered access to HVMs (high value males) because of high salaries. over 40% of Tinder users make over 80k/year, with 20% making over 100k. And since Tinder will only serve attractive women HVM, that means the vast majority of men she interacts with will be top earners. So your salary is good, but understand that there are a lot of people in your bracket.

Also, height is more important in America than anywhere else in the world. Almost no woman will take you seriously if you are under 6', that's essentially the magic number where women draw the line. Even if you, as a short person (if you are), get a girlfriend, you will be walking on thin ice every time a tall attractive high earner approaches her. At the minimum, she will experience visible FOMO.

If you still qualify so far, it's not over. Attractive women in america are extremely high maintenance. You will need to pay constant attention to her and spend tons of money on her or you will begin to lose her attention, even if she says "i'm fine, babe" until she ends it. The sex will be great while it lasts though, for "some reason" very attractive girls are great at sex and they tend to moan loudly.

But anon, if you say you can live anywhere, just live in literally any other country. Your status will make your a top 0.1 percenter. Don't compete with billionaires in new york, get a 10/10 italian/french/euro gf while mogging everyone on salary.

PNW. you want less restrictive laws? Tennessee or texas. you want good weather? California or again, PNW. you want less sales tax? Washington. You want less income tax? Almost literally every other state. You want infrastructure? go to europe. You want wife material? Europe or LATAM. You want BBQ? well, you're in the right place for that. and emerald isle is a great beach too.
