Alot of “Warung”s serve nice local food, but as it’s SEA, quality varies.
Bakso sold on the street is prett comfy. Babi Guling is grilled pork and can be found virtually everywhere.
Martabak/Terang Bulan is also sold on the streets and although it’s not exactly the healthiest meal, it’s a quite good dessert.
The best place we ate local food at was Sun Sun Warung in Ubud which is practically located inside a temple compound. It’s packed with customers for a good reason, waiting time can be up to 45min. Pic related
Oh yeah, by the way I wouldn’t suggest you to eat the streetfood unless you’ve already experienced a food poisoning in SEA. I had no real problem with food poisoning as I’ve been around in SEA for almost a year. My shit became really rancid though.
