i'm 29 years old visiting Barcelona for 7 nights in a 4 star hotel close to the beach.
what am i in for ? and what are things worth doing in a week.
i'm the kind of person who likes comfort, luxury, food, girls swimming and music.
don't like walking in big cities because that bores the hell out of me
Was being alone in a hotel not knowing what to do part of your plan?
i'm still not there yet.
so i'm trying to figure out what to do before being there.
That's a based move tho.
But i'm curious, we have threads about people being scared to travel alone, and you chad book 7 days alone with no plan whatsoever.
well i think i have an idea, most of my time will be spent at the beach area, either swimming, partying at beach nightclubs or eating at fancy restaurants, perhaps i'll check la sagrada familia in a day.
but i'm wondering if i'm missing some fun
>I'm the kind of person who like food
woah that's really unique man I don't know what to even tell you
yeah, so anons who know where is the good food in barcelona might share locations
are you autistic anon ?
Good food is everywhere. It won't be an issue in Barcelona.
don't eat at any place that has tourists, the same like everywhere else. You'll get scammed for a shitty paella and wine. Also, avoid moors and Black folk if you look like a scammable moron
Macdonalds and Irish pubs (only the ones run by elderly englishmen)
>don't like walking in big cities because that bores the hell out of me
Should have booked a trip in Costa Brava then
I am also in Barcelona with minimum plans. Took a free walking tour today. Visited the Sagrada Familia. Now in the evening I've been wondering about.
>if that's so fun why are you on SighSee
Sitting on a bench taking a little break
>29 years old
I was there solo recently but I think you and I travel differently, I really like walking around cities. Check resident advisor for good electronic music and show up to the club after midnight. I think the Joan Miro museum was really cool, even if you don't go in (which I think you should) that area is pleasant and on a slight hill so some of the geezers get weeded out. The Picasso museum is worth popping your head into as well. It you're into it, buy some weed and go to the art museums while listening to music through headphones, it's very relaxing. Not having to listen to dumb ass tour groups and bad commentary is key. Good food is pretty easy to find if you avoid the obvious tourist traps. Don't get paella at a place that advertises it and, as I'm sure you know, restaurants with an english menu are generally crap as well. It's definitely a touristy city which can be frustrating. I hope you have fun anon
>buy some weed and go to the art museums while listening to music through headphones
based
now we talkin brah, i heard weed sellers are scammers selling ordinary plants or low quality shit ? where did you get yours ?
I got mine in Madrid and it was actually good quality. I think you should just go for it if you're not in an especially tourist part of town and someone asks you if want to buy some
how easy is it to get into top beach clubs if money is not a problem ?
meant for
Become a member at a club - it’s legal/high quality in bcn
As a side note, you'd be better off listening to someone who lives there, those were just my general ideas as a recent tourist
>don't like walking in big cities because that bores the hell out of me
You chose the wrong place anon. Europe has a lot of incredible fricking beaches and laid back beach culture. The problem with most of them however is that there's not much to do outside of them- usually just clubs, bars and restaurants.
Barcelona is a city first and foremost. The beach culture definitely isn't BCNs strong point. There are a lot of good bars beachside though, also some of the most beautiful women in the world too.
To enjoy Barcelona make sure you
>Plan out your days - know what you're going to be doing and where you're going to be doing it.
Barcelona is a big place with a lot going on. It's good to have an idea what part of the city you're going to be at for the day, rather than just aimlessly wondering around trying to find a good spot. It's big. Same goes for where you're going to be drinking/eating - as for my next point.
>Vet where you're going to visit
Barcelona is home of the restaurant scam (and a lot of other scams too). Lots of places along La Ramblas and in the main tourist areas, are places owned by Pajeets/Pakis with one purpose.
They'll serve you a cheap dish that they've just microwaved and charge you normal restaurant prices. I remember the first time I was in Barcelona and I fell for this, I couldn't finish the food it was that shitty. They'll also have things like pepsi on the menu without a price, except when it comes out it's basically a fricking stein of coke and they'll charge you like €9 for it. They're also known for literally having thieves that will steal your shit when you leave your table.
This is a really easy scam to fall for because, unlike other scams which require a decent level of ignorance, a fancy looking restaurant in a central location doesn't seem like it would be a problem. People who know Barcelona well will tell you all about this.
Cont- (1/2)
>Food
Unironically probably the best city in Europe outside of London and Paris for dining. A lot of incredible restaurants, Michelin Starred ones too since you mentioned luxury. There's also a lot of authentic Catalan restaurants, but as I said previously, do your research beforehand, this is key.
>Bars
Barcelona has AMAZING small dive bars. Again, do your research, but a good night is hopping from one to another and feeling the vibe in each place. Clubs in Barcelona are great too, a lot of them run until like 7am. Barcelona is a real international city where things run very much into the night. Nevermind and Two Schmucks are both good bars worth going to, both close fairly late.
>Girls
Barcelona is a good city to hook up in but is home to two certain types of women. First is the feminist/social activist local type. Second is the jumped up instathot that thinks she's better than you. This is what I gather. In regards to hookers, it's pretty abundant across the whole city, ESPECIALLY if you're into South American girls. I fricked a thick assed 18 year old Cuban girl last time I was there.
I don't smoke weed myself, but a friend of mine who I last went to BCN with does. There are lots of legal weed dispensaries/clubs across the city. You pay a joining fee and bring ID, then you're allowed in for usually a year. These are fairly abundant across the city and I wouldn't buy it from Africans.
Realistically though, the weed the Africans are selling are probably also from the vendors. They do the same with beer, since it's illegal to sell after a certain time in stores in Barcelona, the Africans will usually buy them and sell them after dark for a marked up price.
thanks anon.
yeah i saw this dude's video to avoid scams : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ut8fB5KPIM0
>unlike other scams which require a decent level of ignorance, a fancy looking restaurant in a central location doesn't seem like it would be a problem
good point
> I fricked a thick assed 18 year old Cuban girl last time I was there.
how can i find girls that are willing to come to my hotel room ?
>how can i find girls that are willing to come to my hotel room ?
Website called Slumi. Look for girls offering an outcall.
If you have no luck, look for late night "massage parlours" near your hotel on google. Basically just brothels with a load of women. Go in, sit down, they'll all come out naked. The lady who runs the place will ask which you wanna frick. Give her the cash. It's as simple as that.
>travel
>it'll be good for you
>expand your horizons
>you're too closed minded
Black folk are trying to sell be drugs and a Maghrebi tried to steal my phone. I'll keep my racism thank you very much.
watch out for heroin needles on the beach
>i'm the kind of person who likes comfort, luxury, food, girls swimming and music.
have a nice day
>don't like walking in big cities
Get off my board
Segway tour was cool
Quick update,
First night at Barcelona they fricking stole my wallet at opium club
Jesus fricking Christ I hate this pickpocket ridden piece of shit of a city already
Don’t take anything with you if you want to go out on this city
They ruined my vacation.
Luckily they took only 130 € and my ID
Frick poor people and thieves I hope whoever stole it get cancer and die
the worst part about barcelona is that the police don't give a shit, i saw so many Black folk and mudslimes trying to sell drugs openly in the street and the police would be a few feet away not giving a shit
I think those who stole my wallet were French white European teenagers
Because the last time I felt that my wallet was in my pocket was just before some French dude asked me to roll up his sleeve for him , I found it very strange because he can do that on his own but now I think it’s because he wanted to distract me while his friends took my wallet so don’t ever let your guard down with any ethnicity
Sorry Anon. They didn't get your passport did they?
No I left it in the hotel safe with other credit cards
Didn’t want to put my eggs in one basket luckily
Now I’m down to my last credit card (I had 2) let’s see if they did have the time to buy shit with it before I blocked it
I’m never coming back to this shithole ever again
Take the moneybelt pill
do not take the moneybelt pill
>took it years ago
>thieves simply used a knife to cut off my belt
>lost my money and my pants
holy shit how moronic are you
The thing is I refused to do it, but still he got his friends to take my wallet in a few seconds apparently
Are you sure they were not Romanian?
>things worth doing
Gaudi architecture checklist, Art museums (picasso is there and so is the National Museum of Art), Magic Fountain at night is nice. Shopping and walking through the Gothic Quarter, same thing with El Raval (literally 2 streets east and west from La Rambla respectively), catalunia plaza, generally walking around the city, park guell, triumphal arc and adjacent park is nice af.
>dont like walking in big cities
then why go to a walkable big city? Should have gone to palma mallorca instead.
>food
Despite being told not to go, the Boqeuria (farmers market) at La Rambla is actually not a bad stop. Particularly, you'll want to go to El Quim de la Boqueria and get a good breakfast there. Their special is eggs cooked with squid, very good stuff. Vinitus is pretty good as well for a more modern tapas place. Miño is a great hole in the wall in El Raval (their literally flaming chorizo is 10/10). If you decide to go to La Sagrada Familia, La Paradeta is a seafood market that doubles as a small restaurant. There will be a line before the spot even opens, best to get tickets to SF at like 2pm and arrive at 11:45 to the restaurant before it opens for lunch. Amazing quality seafood, the navajas were still alive when I bought them. Cerveseria Catalana is a top restaurant in the city that is affordable and of high quality, also beer. Santagustina is pricey and always full but it's insanely good shit. If you like wienertail bars, Dux and Dr. Stravinsky are kino. La Alcoba Azul is a great restaurant/bar as well.
>music
Flamenco shows will be the place to go. Robadors23 is a bar with sunday night flamenco for cheap (shit seating though and kinda sketchy with prostitutes and drugs nearby), its all locals in there which is a plus.
Another anon recommended Nevermind, it's not bad but know its literally a dive bar. Two Schmucks is going to be up your alley.
>how to bring girl back to hotel room
If you need me to tell you how to pick up a woman, its not happening.
>If you need me to tell you how to pick up a woman, its not happening.
I meant is it even allowed because my hotel has a no guests policy
I came here because I thought the best beach parties take place here
Nobody told me they steal your shit in nightclubs tho
MENA gangs (moroccan, algerian, and some rumanian mixed in the sack) that operate in Barcelona freely....... I dont know if they attack people the same way in other EU cities... but Barcelona since the leftist major came in has become a ghetto.

don't be a dumbass next time OP
You have discovered the worst bit about Barcelona which is petty theft. Sorry anon.
It is a real shame. Barca is one of the best cities in the world if you don’t get mugged. All the Gaudi stuff, amazing food, the beach, bar hopping. They even have a israeli Mountain.
One thing I liked which no one went to was the botanical garden and its cactus display. It’s just laid out nicely.
It's because spain has become too progressive. Petty theft isn't punished. In romania, where these shitheads are from, they'd be thrown in jail for 2 years and in Algeria they'd just never get out.
Thank goodness for western shithole "countries" like the UK and Spain and all the moron sheeple who visit them for taking all the Romanian criminal scum and making Romania a safe and clean country
People travel after the age of 25?
Why?
when travelling in known pickpocket hotspots have a sacrificial wallet with about €20 in it in your actual pocket and a neck pouch with everything else in it under your shirt. If you get mugged or scammed you won't actually lose much and the fricking wanker who stole from you will just think you were poor
Just took the bus tour, meh, Barcelona tries too hard to impress but fails because it has no personality, too heterogeneous for my liking .
Also the Catalans should invest more in cleaning their streets from dust and trash.
Paris shits all over Barcelona.
I now understand why parisians are full of themselves, I think hands down paris is the best city on this planet , and it’s not even close.
Food and coffee are great here.
Oh you are disappointed the normie shithole was a shithole, maybe don't visit the cattle pen next time dumbass normie
Anybody have recs on where to stay in BCN? Going there for two weeks next month.
