You say lol but wont be laughing when you get robbed. Meanwhile the police wont do anything because they've became the US's protected pet because they can do no wrong.

If you enjoys beaches, partying, and LatAm food you have come to the right place. Otherwise you’ll be bored. You won’t get pulled over by Border Patrol but you may be randomly questioned as you exit about where you are coming in from and how long you were there. Looking anxious and nervous is going to attract their attention, just stay calm, have your docs on you, and answer questions honestly.
You chose a very hot and heavily touristed time of year to visit. Miami Beach will be VERY crowded. Miami Beach in general is nice to walk around. Most of the restaurants and shops on Ocean Drive are overpriced tourists traps. Brickell has good luxury shopping and clubs, as does Wynwood. Be prepared to fork over a LOT of money for entertainment and alcohol. You are over 21, right?
In recent years a lot of Spring Breakers have come in to Miami Beach and have been a massive nuisance - and at times danger - to the city, idk if they still come in during the summer. If you see trouble just stay out of the way. In any case, it is nowhere near as bad as

      >moron goes to florida for his first impression, and fricking miami at that

I already have all 3. It's just that I don't want to be detained by the border patrol and sent to some dark room, I've heard that usually happens at US airports.

Miami airport fricking sucks. Try to get to your gate as soon as possible if you're there on a layover. Why? Because you may have to pass through security again. It's the only airport I've ever been to that's like that.

ignore these fricking stupid ass zoomers (who've never actually travelled before at all tbh) making stupid ass fricking jokes and memeing since its the only thing they know how to do

    simply
    >go to the airport
    >go to appropriate checkin counter
    >present passport along with relevent visa forms etc
    >answer yes/no if you have checked luggage (large bags that aren't carry on)
    >walk to numbered departure gate
    >wait to board
    >sit in plane
    >arrive

I guess it's too late to warn you about the mandatory cavity search on arrival. You can get priorty(lubed) handling for a small fee, otherwise it's dry.

This. Everyone at the airport is some sort of Latino. White guy in front of security? A right-wing extremist Cuban. Black woman wheeling around some old lady? A Puerto Rican. You may as well be in San Juan. Even the ladies at the sandwich shop were Latin. If you spoke nothing but Spanish you would have absolutely no problem getting around that place.

    Really quick
Miami airport is so fricking big
In fact, everything is fricking big here
People is friendly here so far
You need a car for everything that's annoying
Other than that it's been pretty fine. Lots of folks from all over the place. Not bad.

Congrats. Yeah, I used Uber/Lyft all the time, it's cheap af. Or it was cheap af then.

All that ended in 2019. Uber is expensive as frick now. It used to be cheap only because they were burning through investor money in an effort to grow the company.
