Are there any good casinos in Europe that aren't for ultra rich? I'm looking for a casino with a large selection of table games, mostly Blackjack and Craps.
I went to Baden-Baden but aside from the decor, the casino was a terrible experience with a small selection of games and most of the players were clueless idiots that ruined the experience.
barcelona casino didnt seem for ultra rich
i duno what makes a good casino
A casino that has enough blackjack and craps tables so that you don't have to wait for a seat. When I visited Bade-Baden I had to wait over an hour for someone to leave the table before playing because the casino only had around three dealers.
Also I would like the other players to be knowledgeable of the game at least. It is very annoying when someone doesn't even know the fundamentals of blackjack or craps and slows the game down and makes just plain dumb calls. Baden-Baden had a lot of frat bro types who where gambling daddy's money to impress their date and hitting on a hard 17.
Protip: how other players play their hand has no bearing on your own. Agree about game speed though. Although it sounds like you have no idea what you’re doing so the slower the better.
Ummm… It does affect your game but you only remember the times it screws you over instead of helps you. Would have much more peace of mind if the table just played smart instead of randomly hitting because they feel like hiring a 15 vs a 5
The choices of other players should not affect you in blackjack, remember that they are the ones who pay the dealers and the electricity of the casino by playing like ploppies
It has no bearing on the game whatsoever. They might fuck up the sequence for a dealer to not get a bust card just as much to get you a sequence to get you a blackjack. You are getting confused with variance.
Craps in Europe is really rare. Dices games not as popular as in the US
Casino Estoril, on the coast just outside of Lisbon, is fairly nice and quite large, although it’s a modern rather than old-school building if aesthetics make a difference.
And I second the vote for Monte Carlo, or another of the Riviera casinos, for style and history in addition to gaming. You’ll look like an asshole if you’re trying to walk in in shorts but they no longer wear tuxedos and non-millionaires are allowed in now.
lol Estoril sucks
Why does it suck?
Holland has 2 major casino chains, Holland Casino which is state run and kinda posh. I once went there with some English tourists and the guy at the door said: good evening, in Dutch. The English guy looked at me and asked what he said. I started laughing and said: he said good evening. He chuckled and said 'good evening to you fine sir' to him. That's when he kicked us out for "being too drunk". We both had a couple of beers but nothing serious. That's the day I made a pledge to never set foot in a Holland Casino again.
The other chain is Jack's casino which is a poor man's casino. Nobody cares what you are wearing or how drunk you are. Also 1 of the more popular establishments to get robbed in Holland.
I wouldn’t expect good gaming in the Netherlands. They are too busy counting their money to ever enjoy it.
ironically the arcade business is booming in the Netherlands, with Gamestate being a big chain with multiple locations that are basically legalized gambling for kids. I was hooked on it for a while, played so much that I earned a PS4 Pro there. Obviously, it would've cost me half if I just bought it but still.
