I generally prefer aisle seats for the easier bathroom access. I really don't want to be at the mercy of other passengers every time I want to take a piss. I'm less picky with seats if I'm on the emergency row, or Economy Plus.

But let's not kid ourselves. Of course Business Class is gonna be better.

      why are you even asking

      >I generally prefer aisle seats for the easier bathroom access

      Aisle all the way
I liked the window seat as a kid, but now I’m a tall adult, and the option of stretching one leg out in the aisle is worth paying the extra $50 for
I was however on a half capacity transatlantic flight earlier this year where I got the whole middle row to myself and that was nice, folded up the armrests and spread both legs out

      >option of stretching one leg out in the aisle

Aisle seat > Window seat > Middle seat
unless you're a manlet, you should automatically be going for the aisle when given the option.
window seat is for snoozers, children, and thots
middle seat is kys-tier. all this "two arm rests, bro!" is pure cope.

      >window seat is for snoozers, children, and thots

As soon as you sit down in the middle seat you become a literal subhuman with zero rights for the entire duration of the flight. Aisle kings reign supreme, plus you get a better view of the hot flight attendants

Ok cool so I get maybe two full minutes of visibility and have to spend the other, upwards of 14 hours, crammed into the row with shit legroom, and have to squeeze myself between 6 inches of space aside of two other grown men’s knees

as i already said, all three seats have the same legroom, unless you're okay with stretching your legs into the only place in the plane that's meant for walking and moving carts.
              >have to squeeze myself between 6 inches of space aside of two other grown men’s knees

I'm an aisle guy and I'm not obsessed with being and to see out the window or not but I will say when you're in the aisle and the person in the window seat closes the window when everyone else in the plane is looking out at the something interesting I'm like what the frick. This seems to happen to be all the time, every other row is keeping their window open but I'm in the only row with some weird c**t that wants it closed.

None. The 3-3 config is absolute cancer and so are narrow body planes (Boeing 737, etc.), the worst of both worlds with either the space of a wide body nor the 2-2/2-3 of a regional jet

In 3-3-3 the best is clearly aisle in the middle row, you get easy bathroom access and can let the other homosexual get up if the middle person needs to go. 3-4-3 is less clear what’s the best but I’d still say aisle.

Because I’m so jacked and huge my shoulders are too big to sit next to the window without it being uncomfortable so I always pick aisle. But women always bump into my arm in the aisle because they don’t know how to avoid things like a man can.

I'll bite. I'm a friendly plus sized man and I actually prefer the middle seat. There's just more room to settle into and I can start a conversation with either the person on my left or right. In the aisle I get hit by the drink cart a lot and the window makes me feel a little dizzy/sweaty because I don't like heights.

What, reverse herringbone is 1-2-1, just like some newer seat configurations that are straight and also 1-2-1.

            Anonymous

Straight layouts need to be staggered to fit your legs, and that box might cover the window every other seat, unless you're flying first class. Reverse herringbone does not have this problem.

I fricking hate 'brokey' as a slang term. It's gay as fricking shit and sounds like something a toddler would come up with. The Aussie 'povo' is much more evocative.

but on a side note, middle seat if you are traveling with girls and are in peak position to fingerblast both at the some time as they jerk you off under a blanket.

  24. 2 years ago
    Anonymous

I've only flown twice in my life because I hate flying and usually travel by train, but in both instances I picked aisle because I don't want to bother others to get to the bathroom. Of course on neither flights I actually needed to use the bathroom.

  25. 2 years ago
    Anonymous

I prefer the aisle for reasons mentioned by other anons such as easy access to bathroom, the ability to get up and walk around for a minute, etc.

If I don't plan ahead, and get stuck with a non-aisle seat, I try to make the best out of the situation. The window seat is nice for opening it up. I can't sleep unless I'm fully reclined, so if I'm flying coach, sometimes I'll open it a couple inches, and take look outside. I've seen people put on these little melodramatic faces when I open the window shade to peer out.

Wear your sunglasses, or tie two socks together and make an eye mask if you are intent on sleeping. Not my problem.

Plenty of reasons explained in the very thread you're posting on but didn't bother to read.

  28. 2 years ago

Aisle seat probably makes the most sense.

But when I have to travel alone, I don't want to deal with people at all, so I prefer the window seat. No one needs to push past me, it's easy to ignore than annoying flight staff, and I can brace myself partially again the wall of the plane so I'm not shoulder-to-should with the fat motherfricker in the middle seat. I empty myself with a laxative the day before I fly, and then fast and dehydrate on the day of the flight, so I never have to use the restroom. I also take a temporarily high dose of an NSAID like ibuprofen and hit myself with whatever anxiolytics I can pry out of my current physician.

      Anonymous

How hard is it to get anxiolytics for flight anxiety? Been thinking about talking to my doctor about this. I still fly so it's not crippling anxiety but it's significant.

        Anonymous

Half a Dramamine with a beer, well planned seat choice, tsa precheck, and noise canceling headphones helped me get over anxiety on flights early on. After flying quite a bit I stopped having anxiety on planes at all.

  29. 2 years ago
    Anonymous

For me it's window > aisle > middle.

I have mild turbulence anxiety (despite having flown many many times since I was little) that seems to randomly flare up. For some reason, being able to see out the window during turbulence (assuming I can see some fixed point and we're not passing the cloud layer/in a fog) significantly calms my anxiety. I was on a couple of daytime flights recently where I had the aisle but for some reason the passenger in the window seat on both flights kept the window closed literally the entire flight (during takeoff and landing too) and my anxiety flared up a bit as both had some turbulence.

Aisle all the way. Don’t have to wake people so I can get up to piss, get comfy shoulder touches from milfs as they pour me coffee, and get to be the good boy that grabs bags for the mid/window seat guys and block the aisle till my whole row gets to escape the plane with no line skippers pushing their way through
