Enjoy your poverty, violence, and hyper inflation. The first world has its problems but you underestimate the peace, comforts, and prosperity it allows you.

You literally just described the US. So maybe this isn’t the first world. moron, lol lmao hahaha.

The USA is fine. Higher than average inflation for 2 years was an exception rather than the rule. Look at argie inflation.

As for violence and poverty, outside of the Black person filled ghettos the USA is still very much first world. You will realize your mistake soon after you try to leave. It only gets worst (only exception are ethnicnically homogenous white and east asian nations like japan, and you aren’t moving to japan)

American inflation isn't even that bad compared to a lot of other countries. People just see things getting more expensive and blame the president even if it's getting worse outside the country to a much greater extent.
That being said, immigration to Japan is probably easier than most other 1st world country if you can find a job that doesn't require Japanese. Their point system is relatively straightforward & more forgiving than trying to move to say France or another EU country.

Realistically what's the over/under on this? What jobs/skills do they look for in gaijin?

One of the only industries open to non-Japanese speakers is tech. That an english teaching, but can we really call that a career?

Honestly though, if Japan is going to be your long term life, you should study Japanese.

Japan, like a lot of other countries, has a list of criteria against which skilled visa applicants are scored — ten years of professional experience is worth twice as many points as five years’ professional experience, a PhD is worth more than a Master’s, etc.—and your score determines which visa categories you qualify for and the kinds of preferential immigration treatment you might get. Scores also rank applicants against one another for a limited number of visa approvals—someone with 90 points gets in before someone with 80 points.

Most developed countries have systems like these.

Inflation in the west is usually a nothingburger anyway unless you're on a fixed income or work a minimum wage job. My raises in the past couple years have exceeded inflation. My investments have also grown in excess of inflation. It's just a dumb cope issue pushed by people who fundamentally don't understand monetary policy.

Yes but be sure you will never go back. Get all your documents and copies, close all loose ends.

I am honest to god disappearing. I've nearly finished deleting everything tied to my past, I am changing my name again but abroad, I have zero ties to there, not telling anyone, not renouncing, not renewing passport when it expires. It's like I died.

      >I am honest to god disappearing. I've nearly finished deleting everything tied to my past, I am changing my name again but abroad, I have zero ties to there, not telling anyone, not renouncing, not renewing passport when it expires. It's like I died.

This is an interesting almost-certainly-fantasy, but going along with it for a moment, I have many questions.

First, how, where, and why did you change your name/assume a new identity the last time? No need for incriminating details, obviously, but some logistical detail would be interesting. Next and more crucially, where are you from, and which country are you bugging out to this time? I ask because just about all the countries I can think of would be very, very hard to survive in long-term when out of immigration status, and ultimately without proper ID (once your passport expires).

The opening of your LARP—sorry, post—makes it sound like you’ve actually made a plan, but I don’t believe you could have.

I would be delighted to be wrong, but I’m not. Am I? I really want to be wrong but I already convinced this is just pretend.

      >Inb4 no response or extremely vague response answering none of my specific questions, proving this is just make-believe; it’s just like one of those “I have nine passports and can easily get another four but I refuse to tell you which ones any of them are or how I got them” fantasists

        Lol.

I left USA because it sucks. I also felt like a complete alien there. I was never accepted by anyone.
I legally changed my name to disassociate with abusive family members. I did the legal process which took a day, and change my id card, and applied for a new passport. I had already been living abroad for three years, so I didn't need to change anything else. I have now been gone for 10 years, I had to return to get a document from a family member with a really strained non existent relationship, and I took it without them knowing, which is why I say take everything because you never know. I have three passports because I got it by descent. I can live in the EU, Australia, New Zealand. I had visas and already lived in Asia. It would be harder for me to move to Canada honestly. I will change my name again that no old contacts know, and they cannot reach me because I deleted all old emails.

I feel like people do this all the time, they disappear from their old lives. If you are smart and savvy it's possible.

    >If I can leave and never come back, where should I go and why is it Argentina?

I take it you enjoy Argentina, so that’s almost certainly why. Enjoy your steaks and Malbec and Fernet and Coke with a side of occasional economic meltdown, I suppose.

But my question is, CAN you leave and never come back? Are you already carrying an Argentine or Mercosur passport? I don’t know about Argie requirements in particular, but it’s not generally effortless for Americans to acquire permanent residency in other countries, and I’m always a little embarrassed by those of my countrymen who don’t know anything and assume they can just show up somewhere and stay, which they can’t, anywhere, although it’s easier in some countries than others.

Dude I only make 65k/yr and have to have a fricking room mate to make the city life viable and still travel 2-3 times a year and it's still fricking expensive. Europe you can live, get free healthcare so your weed would be paid for, live in a cozy apartment(or flats as they are called) for like 300/mo, and get fair wages were a basic sandwhich job can make you still live a comfy life. With the best thing being you can get a nice white respecting wife and shit without trying hard like here in california.

US is having our crypto stolen in taxation, inflation, immigrants, and other stupid stuff like low min wage. In Europe you don't have much of that outside france and you can get on a train or plane and be in another fricking country in 2 hours vs like 4 hours just to get a plane into mexico or some stupid fricking braindead flyover place.

My buddy was in Argentina during the last major economic collapse. As soon as it happened all foreign travelers were told to head to the airport and make plans to leave. While at the airport, Americans were stripped of their cash and valuables by Argentine cops/airport security. He said what seemed like a first world country quickly shown their true colors and let the third world shine. In turn he lost little cash, but they “confiscated” his fathers Rolex DateJust. He was a regular traveler to Argentina for snowboarding and he couldn’t believe how fast the corruption erupted.
