Have any of you been to the Canary Islands? What'd you think? Kind of curious about them since they're the European place thats kind of tropical.

they're the only* European place thats kind of tropical.
Please stop saying this. There’s absolutely nothing tropical about Cabary islands. Those are volcanic rocky islands, completely barren and warm in winter time (not hot at all).
Sure it’s better than freezing your ass off on the continent but you could just as well go to south east asia, South America, Africa, or even US and experience real tropics.
Tenerife was boring as fuck. Will not go back
>Contains the place with the most bio-diversity on Europe
>Which is essentially a jungle
Yeah, completely barren
I don’t know what you are talking about. When I was there what I saw was barren rocky land with a few patches of grass and palm trees where people cared enough to plant them and carefully maintain. Note I was in the western part of the island. I know the northern part is greener. But I don’t expect anything remotely close to a jungle there. It’s literally a few hundred kilometres west from Morocco and Western Sahara for climate reference…
If you go to a tourist trap, you get a tourist trap. But if you get away from them, the 4 western islands are green as fuck and a paradise for hiking.
And climate isn't tropical, but it's nothing like fucking Morocco.
asqui no cabemos mas muyayo vayase pa otro lao
boomer retirement paradise, full of bongs though.
Tenerife is really cool, Lanzarote has great vineyards, Fuerteventura if you like surf and Gran Canaria if you want to party.
Not really tropical weather though but it's nice throughout the year.
full of moors and bongs, overpriced. Avoid.
They speak asspainish. Take that as you will
Can I get citizenship having a Portuguese grandfather?
The canary islands are Spanish. But I think so and that lets you live there anyway.
been to Fuerteventura (Costa Calma) recently. Was very comfy
Gran Canaria outside Las Palmas is soulless, corporate globalist globohomo but ok if you're a bong looking to party
Think Mallorca but even more anglo boomer retirees
Climate
It does differ from island to island, but not by a lot.
Been to Tenerife 3 times, definitely a place to go back to. Its a little dry in the summer though
Hawaii for poor Russians
I've been six times. Most of the islands are essentially a de facto British colony.
The most touristic places are very filled with brits and have their british style pubs, but those are mostly just a few neighbourhoods in a few towns
