Are there any cheap countries where you can live as a king even if you only make an average salary in the west?

I was in Tirana for 5 days a few weeks ago. You could live comfortably on £1000 a month if sensible and you would Be on the bottom end of the elites of the country with a western wage of £2000 a month. I was told that a normal salary for many service jobs for a local is 300 euros a month.

Depends on what you mean by "living like a king".
You can live in Egypt for a week on the same money you'd spend for a night in Italy or the UK

There are many countries like this. Eastern Europe area for one if you like living like youre still in some semblance of "The West." I can also think of the Philippines were you will be considered a foreigner but the transition for a "Westerner" would not be as hard as almost everyone speaks English and take dollars.

They are taught English at a very young age and most education is in English big brainlet. Philippines is a great place for ex-pats and your money goes a long way. Where else would you live in a similar lifestyle? Thailand? Where they dont speak English at all and practice different religion or standard of living? Fucking retard

Outside of tourism, 3/4ths of the country can barely speak English. If you say something to them, they have a hard time understanding or misinterpret what you said. English just really doesn’t resonate well in this country no matter how hard the government impose it on them. Their English proficiency is a big meme.
It’s very hard to travel around there without Google Translate or a local.

Stop lying fucking retard. I've spent 5 years in the Philippines. Only the absolute dumbest least educated slum dwellers or backwater provincials don't speak English.

Chances are that they are choosing not to speak English TO YOU. Pretending not to speak English to avoid annoying foreigners is definitely a real thing

Agree Philippines is perfect for expats, the country is literally a former American colony. Their english accent is most similar to American english.
Malaysia is also great for expats, nearly everyone speaks english (zero language barrier issues), everything is cheap but it's rather boring (islamic country means nothing exciting happening)

I spent 3 weeks in the Philippines and had zero language barrier problems. Everyone I wanted something from (waiters, cashiers, taxi drivers, police officers, hotel staff, food street vendors, bus drivers) spoke english. The only people I met that don't speak english are the street beggars.
English proficiency is high. Statistics online say 92% of Filipinos speak English, which I find accurate.
Philippines ranks #21 globally and #2 in Asia (after Singapore) in english proficiency https://www.ef.com/wwen/epi/regions/asia/philippines/
I used google translate zero times in the Philippines.

Yes, Albania. I've been there on vacation twice and I spent very little money ($5-8 per night for a private hostel room and I had the best meat soup of my life for $2.5). They have a very good visa regime too, so I'm considering moving there at some point.
