    >700 pre tax in a week
that's not terrible i guess but if you plan on partaking in cooming or doing much then you might be a bit fricked. That's really not that much

      Are you dumb?
700 usd a week is more than enough for thailand fricking hell.

Also dont do it op, unless you get a real job that isnt the crypto casino.

Again, you fricking moron, that's pre taxes. And guess what? OP will have to pay US taxes while living in Thailand so that amount will shrink even more!

My point, which still stands, is that assuming you want to live in a decent apartment in a good place and coom after work, 2k/month will be able to do that but it's not a viable long term solution. Anyways, I don't really care, do whatever you want I guess. Yet another large plan thread that will result in OP going nowhere because everyone talks a big game here but never does shit lol

my work is now allowing us to work remotely from anywhere in the world. Based in Aus we don't have any offices anywhere else in the world.

From what I understand, Australians don't need visas as TOURISTS but working remotely in Thailand is a grey area.

Has anyone else have any experience with this?

You don't need a visa for 30 days but if you want to stay longer you'll want to get a multi entry visa or whatever they offer these days. I think there's one that allows 60 days, plus 30 days extension, then you leave and do it again for 6 months total.

No one in Thailand gives a frick that you're working in Thailand. All law in Thailand is a grey area. Unless you piss off someone connected you're not going to get arrested while working in a cafe. Just don't insult Buddhism or the (old) King and you'll be fine.

Firstly, 7 days isn't enough to assess whether you are good trader or not. You should post your long-term gains (6+ months) and then I might take you seriously.
Secondly, crypto is an awful asset to trade because it's too volalitle and manipulated. Nevermind that some exchanges like Binance are known to freeze withdrawals when there is huge volatility

day trading and crypto is moronic. Only way you can survive off your portfolio is with a massive fricking safe-dividend yield account. High dividends = low growth generally unless you are invested in something SCHD etc that will still grow/be defensive while still generating cash-flow.

You can do the same with just normal ETFs or Mutual Funds.

Just sell the units you need per month and it functions the exact same as a high dividend fund but you still continue to get the growth.

I think the only way to live off crypto without going insane is to just sell when you are massively up, and live frugally off your enormous savings while you wait for it to crash again and buy back in with some of your cash.

I did the 'live overseas and trade' meme for a few years, but volatility can really frick you up, and the constant gnawing stress gets old. Some people can chill out, but I never could.

Traded what? Crypto? Stocks? Options? Did you try and day trade every single day? Some days? Or were you a swing trader?

I was trading shitcoins. Call it swing trading and sentiment trading. Basically get in early, sell the pump and try to get out before it collapsed. Was making around 10 big trades a month, rest of the time monitoring chats and social media to gauge the health of the scam.
