Not really. A couple, but it's strongly exaggerated because it sounds cool.

Paris was really the worst part of France foot me. Best part probably Carcassonne.

I liked Paris, but the amount of Africans grabbing your arm to sell you shit, Romanians pickpocketing on the subway and North African beggars all over the place makes the city a stressful place to spend time in

Is it really surprising. Many Europeans believe everything they see in the media about the US. Meanwhile, we're supposed to be the morons. If you believe The Simpsons is an accurate representation of the US and you believe the fear porn news broadcast to you guys, congratulations, you're moronic.

is it because they see black people

Because Paris Syndrome is caused by having an idealistic view of the place formed but what you heard or saw (in the media) and then experiencing it in person and it being different. Europeans constantly do this with the US and then can't wrap their heads around the concept or pretend to be stupid. The average European is a dumb ass, they just don't realize it and they compare themselves to what they see in the media, loud moronic Americans. You guys seem to be so concerned with the US that i think you overlook your own history. It's fricking weird.

Americans are children. They only care about themselves and think the world revolves around them.

The world literally does revolve around us though. It’s not an opinion. There really isn’t even another important country. The closest thing to an important country besides us is the EU, a collection of other countries.

to play devil's advocate- if i was a moronic japanese guy who didn't make much money, and i got tricked by marketers into thinking paris was a paradise, and i saved for years to send my family there, i would probably also have a mental breakdown after being harassed by gypsies and north africans in a dirty crowded expensive dump

    >French anons can enjoy a wiener au vin underneath the timeless, beautiful folliage of the Bois Vincennes, they can later take a quick stroll to the Champ de Mars and have a vision of paradise in the Elyssean Fields while classy, catchy French swing is blasted from every Hausmanien window
