I'm confused if you're allowed to bring a suitcase to the cabin with you. This link says just an ordinary bag. https://www.saudia.com/before-flying/baggage/baggage-allowances

    From the linked site:
    >Hand Baggage Allowance
    >One Hand bag or Pull bag
    > Maximum Dimension Not Exceed 56 X 45 X 25 (Cm) (22 X 18 X 10) (In)
    >Not exceeding (07) KGS
Seems like fairly usual hand luggage regulation, so you can bring your suitcase as hand luggage as long as it fits the above description.

Any bags, lanterns, BBQ grills or wood stoves with actual burning logs inside them can fit in a compartment measuring 9 x 14 x 22 inches or under the seat in front of you, they allow you to bring anything you want on board

No alcoholic beverages or mobile phones without "airplane mode" though, that's dangerous

Thanks bros, I'm very relieved now. I have barely any travel experience, so I'm clueless about most of it.

Do you think it's possible to bring a suitcase + a second bag? Or also make my suitcase heavier than 7 kg (like 10kg+)?

I brought three suitcases on cabin with me. No issue at all.

Best part is the FA's are Filipinas. Got one of their numbers when we landed in Manila and fricked her good. :^)

oh yeah, I was in First.

What's the point of flying in first when you can't get booze?

I don't drink anyway, I didn't even realize it. It was a rewards redemption, that cost me like 40,000 miles (yeah really low redemption) and $200 or so in "taxes."

They're skyteam, so I just churn AMEX business credit cards on new LLC's every 6 months, and write off the expenses and deduct it from my taxes, so literally I fly for free, 100,000 platnium biz usually hits on $5000 spend in 3 momths, I hit that in about a month and pay it off full and yeah.

Honestly I travel so much anon that I don't even eat the food on the flight, at best *the lounge* and that's it - I enjoy fasting and sipping seltzer water/coke zero (a bit too much coke zero actually.)

Yes it is a long flight, but the Saudia lounge is nice, and, honestly I know this is SighSee, so money and travel don't go hand in hand but you should the free drinks and food anon - they're free for a reason.

Again, what is the point of flying first if you do nothing but drink water and eat nothing. When I fly first I make sure to splurge as much as I can on the food and booze both in the lounge and in the air.

What itinerary is 40k in first by the way? Not skyteam but when I took a one-way transatlantic first class with a staralliance it was over 100k miles.

The point is that I had points, I left a good airport, I wanted to burn the points and it was cheap. I have status on skyteam so I always get free upgrades, you also need to book out a quarter+ for good redemption fares.

why first again? because I can. god, people really here chow down on the alcohol and crap microwaved food?

Fricking SighSee guys you aren't going to make it.

but to put it in perspective, I'm on 4 planes a week, so at that point you just don't give a damn about eating or alcohol. You worry about making ure the hotel/place you booked as an actual fitness room so you can do some cardio and weights.

I'm in economy and would like to bring 1 suitcase and 1 backpack in the cabin. But would they really allow it?

        Anonymous

        No they won't.
Read the page linked in the OP for what items you can bring in addition to your 1 hand luggage.

They'll allow your cabin-sized suitcase for overhead storage and some small handbag or plastic bag to keep your book/magazines, tablet and other personal things to be used during the flight that will go under the seat in front of you.

Honest question bros, I know the airline will not weigh your hand carry suitcase, but if it's obviously above the weight limit (let's say 14kg instead of 7), will they stop you?

There are airlines that weigh hand luggage.

One solution that has always worked so far for me is just to travel light with only a cabin luggage, check-in online and skip directly through security.
Sometimes someone will check if you're there once you're in your seat, sometimes they will take you apart at the boarding to print your boarding pass, but they don't have the equipement to weight things there

      Saudia does not care.

      Eva does not care.

      Air Asia does not care.

Only airline that cars is fricking Jetstar. I've brought 50kg+ as carry on, but it fit into a normal 40-60l bag, it needs to look normal and small. What do I carry? Laptops and other electronic crap.

I flew with them years ago

they had compasses pointing to Mecca embedded in the ceiling for prayer time

they were all calibrated differently and none of the passengers knew what to do

What would happen if you just brought a small water bottle full of vodka with you to add to the drinks they do serve? Would you be able to get away with it? Surely most of the FA’s doesn’t actually care that much.

      Anonymous

Unless you mean buying from duty free (do they even have small bottles?), security doesn't let you through with liquids so to answer your question, no you can't get away with it

        Anonymous

        >bring an empty water bottle
        >buy vodka at duty free
        >pour vodka into empty water bottle
That would work but be aware that depending on the jurisdiction being drunk or even just drinking alcohol not served by the flight attendants can get you into trouble.

OP here and I still don't know what to do, bros.
My flight is tomorrow and I have too many things that I need to bring.

Will they really let me bring a suitcase (above the weight limit) AND a backpack to the cabin?

Just try it and see. Worst they do is make you check suitcase.

The risk is too high for me and I can't deal with having to pay for another checked suitcase. What if we forget about the backpack and instead it's a too heavy suitcase + shopping bag?
