What do you guys usually do to keep yourself entertained? I don't sleep much already and flights keep me wired so I never sleep through them. I had a book I was going to read but the spine snapped and all the pages fell out so I had to leave it at home. Any suggestions?
I like to stretch. It helps me decompress and avoid injuries. There's no quicker way to ruin your trip.
I can't stretch on an airplane
You should try. There's been a disturbing rise of back injuries lately.
>There's been a disturbing rise of back injuries lately.
I see that. What the hell is going on out there?
There's a man out there, people call him the spine snapper. Some say he's no man, but something else entirely. He was last active in The Phillipines but I've heard rumors he's active in Vietnam now.
Watch your back, it's a dangerous world out there.
Anon... im scared
We all are.
So he is doing a world tour of spine snapping or something?
I read he was in Brazil and Colombia as well
Just snapping spines for your wallet
Its true, I was about to go on a tinder date with a bbb latina and I felt someone grope my ass from behind. I turned around and freaked out and I saw him. I literally had no time to react before I was slammed down on the curb with my spine snapped
Is he a big guy?
yes. be careful. Someone might break your spine
My Switch or tablet. I don't give a fuck what anyone thinks about me playing games at 35 years old. I'd rather people judge me than be bored for 10 hours. Nothing more comfy than putting in your earphones, blasting out some stardew valley til meals arrive then arriving in a new country.
I also set the solitaire high score for each flight too because why not
Enjoy your newspaper I guess
I find that games that take a long time (like Civilization) or open-ended games (like Terraria or Minecraft) are good for passing the time on flights
laptop?
Yes, I found bringing my desktop PC on flights to be a bit cumbersome
just get a steamdeck so you don't get turned into a basedjack
Movie, book, sleep, zone out
I imagine the stewardess I find most attractive giving me a bj in the lavatory. It's quite difficult on US ran flights. All they hire are old hags and fags.
e-reader!
most are chinese unfortunately, get one you can root. I have a Boox Max Lumi 2 that I have termux on too
happily, the Hisense A9 has just been rooted too x
oh, languagetransfer is great too!
Yo! Boox Tab Mini C Chad here.
Use a VPN setup to block connections without the VPN in Android Settings and then use your VPN app and exclude all the apps you don't want connecting to the internet including system apps. It works as a firewall. Also install Neo Store (improved F-Droid client) and Aurora Store (for Google Play apps) to avoid Google. On Neo Store, install an app called Package Manager. It'll allow you to uninstall Google Play Services and the rest of the preloaded spyware. For some reason even though I was able to access adb I couldn't uninstall anything with it.
What's all the rooting and shit for? I bought some cheap PocketBook a few years ago and never even connected the thing to the internet. I just plug it in to my PC with a cable and copy&paste epub files from libgen
It's not rooting.
It's a full-blown color eInk Android tablet. I use the Internet to read my RSS and read news articles. If all you do is read your pirated books then there's no need to connect it to the internet. I have everything blocked by default and only whitelist a few apps.
Is there any benefit to the whole rooting and stuff compared to never enabling internet, never registering anything and just copy/paste from your computer (Calibre optional)?
I like tinkering but my last rooted phone is nearly 10 years old.
I either close my eyes and daydream/sleep or I stare at people walking in the aisle.
I click the fast travel button
I'm in the US, White, Straight, and Male. I cannot fast travel near enemies.
Usually the painkillers I take for my spine help pass the time
As an absolute chad I just stare straight ahead the whole flight
Snipe snappers don't need entertainment, the thought of spine snapping at the destination is enough.
10+ hours to Japan I watched Lost in Translation, did Japanese language apps, then used interpals to arrange meeting someone on 2nd day.
10+ hours to Singapore, I watched food shows about what to eat in Singapore.
Flying 10+ hours again to Japan but this will be the first time in a lie flat business seat. I am going to try to sleep the whole time.
Call the FA for turn down service, go to bed and sleep. Easy as
I fly quite often. I watch movies, series, read something, study and learn
I suggest watching the phone gallery, reminiscing the good old days or just cleaning stuff. Writing a life summary, analysing your life could be helpful as well. Talking to other passenger, if they're willing to be talkative.
I personally purchase business class and after enjoying a high quality meal, I have a good night's sleep, before the flight attendants awaken me 1-2 hours before landing with a fresh, hot breakfast.
I found that taking the drugs that the gate agents sneaked into my carry-on always makes the time go faster
As a bonus, if I take them I don't get arrested on landing! Saves me time I otherwise would have had to spend in prison.
Any tips on getting prescribed Xanax for a flight? I asked for two Xanax bars, one for each way and the doctor said he won't prescribe it and I'd need to be refered to a psychiatrist. I'm not seeing a fucking shrink just to get knocked out on the flight.
Painkillers work better than xanax. If you tell him youre having spinal issues you’ll probably get a prescription
I've used pain killers before. It takes about 40mg of Oxycodone to make me sleepy and there's no way a doctor is gonna prescribe that. I had a hard enough time getting 5mg when I broke my leg.
5mg oxy and I don't have a care in the world for 6 hours. I could just take a low dose throughout the flight and chill in the seat
just ask for a sedative or sleep aid like ambien or something and not a fucking benzo are you fucking retarded?
You guys are fuckin losers you either sleep or watch the movie what else wtf is a spinesnapper you kids are dumb
I did some long haul flights earlier this year and it was miserable. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do this time. If I should buy a kindle, a cheap laptop, bring a book. Switch is cool and all but I don't like console games at all so after one flight I won't even use it
download songs you can listen to whenever, movies you can watch a 1000 times and still enjoy them or take a chance on a newer movies, most airlines has a wide array of movies so there should be something you can find to watch, podcasts, bring a switch or steam deck and play games, laptop theres tons of shit you could do...i literally h throw my laptop up and game the entire time
