Bourdain for the destinations not the food
Anything BBC / Attenborough for the nature
    Michael Palin for the nostalgia
Amazing race to laugh at Americans

      >Attenborough for the nature
it's been way too preachy on the global warming front though, at least for the last decade or so

It doesn't detract from the awesome wildlife and the scenery

Michael Palin is the greatest ever
Michael Portillo also does very good travel docs
Francesco da Mosto has done some of my favourite Mediterranean series

None of them are annoying or disrespectful, like a lot of other presenters.

For more light-hearted ones, I love An Idiot Abroad, James May's travels, and Jack Whitehall's series with his father.

Agreed on portillo, I do liked his train stuff, very kino

I have watched all 34 seasons of Amazing Race

Congrats you have completed easy mode, now you have to do the same for the Canadian, UK, Israeli and Australian versions

        >man who's dedicated a lifetime to nature doesn't like to see it be destroyed

gee wonder why he keeps going on about it

there are only five or six episodes but this is one of my favorites. actor/musician John Lurie takes Willem Dafoe, Dennis Hopper, Tom Waits, and others on fishing trips around the world despite the fact that he knows nothing about fishing.

Kinda getting tired of "miserable person sees the world and is rude to most of the people he meets" series. I do like James May's series despite that.

Great XYZ Rail journeys and Great Canal Journeys are comfy viewing.

tired of thing that doesnt exist? what bizarro world are you in?

99% of all shows are brown nosing cocksuckers who praise everything as LIKE SO AMAZING WOW.

idiot abroad isnt the greatest thing, but its refreshing to see someone not spout fake praise

It spawned a bunch of copycat shows and they tend to get more prime-time TV slots. Pic related.

only seen a few eps of this and thought it was pretty good, i though it was really funny when he was in the albanian mountains and his guide started racially abusing him and making jokes about how easy it was to see him in the snow

Saw a couple of episodes and it just started going beyond the "guy makes a fool of himself" and into "guy is being an arse to everyone around him to make an otherwise good holiday seem bad"

    Definitely Madventures.
It's a Finnish travel documentary where two guys experience the local ways of life around the globe.
The first two seasons were filmed in the early 2000s in Finnish, but the 3rd season was done in English over 10 years ago.
Here's clip of one of them enjoying some Chinese hot dog.

forgot to add Travel Man in the light-hearted section (the original Richard Ayoade episodes, not the new ones with Joe Lycett, who is an annoying homosexual).

also, the best "travel movie" I've seen is definitely The Mole: Infiltrating North Korea, which is so incredible that there are parts that literally seem like a James Bond film.

I loved watching "Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern" as a teenager. I specially liked the fact that he didn't hesitate to say when the food was bad or he didn't like it, unlike most food travel shows. Made the good dishes seen all the more appetizing

where the fuck do you even find one that is even remotely tolerable?

every search just yields pages and pages of "influencer" cringe

The last good travel vlogs were stobe the hobo and iohan georguiev, and they are both dead now. I like Mikey Williams' bike trip through the stans as well.

Other than that it's all repulsive homosexualry

I'm just gonna go back to watching Wildboyz reruns because Wildboyz was kino as fuck and anyone who disagrees is a retarded bitch
