You certainly can. You'd want to rent an all terrain vehicle and do your research about the conditions so you don't get stuck 20 minutes from the nearest town, but if you went out towards a remote indigenous community and then went off road for a few hours you'd find yourself a good stretch of nothing to die in.

Most likely you will be reduced to bones by scavenging animals and insects (one thing people don't know about the desert is flies will come from miles around to any food or water source). But your bones will probably be there a long time.

There are two types of remote, Normal geographic remote and geopolitical records remote,
For example, Alaska is fucking huge and remote tundra, but there will be 5 different state department and local records of your travels for Netflix to make a democracy about your life.
If you want geopolitical remote, nothing beats Africa failed states, you can visit one, change identities, and go to the next door one, and do it again, and go to the third one and die someplace no one will have a record of your real name or what state you died in

You need to go to a tropical jungle OP. Your remains will be consumed so quickly by the jungle it is not even funny. Animals and insects will devour your remains in a few days, and what's left will be rotted into mush by fungi and bacteria.
Deserts will preserve your remains, even if it's only bones. Cold climates will similarly preserve your remains, and cold climates host fewer lifeforms which can consume your body. If you're too close to people then obviously there is a high chance your remains are found.
