Add most of the non-Russian russosphere to tier B because most of them don't get much tourists and most of them are Russians or people who can't speak Russian.

Any time people say this shit about people in Turkey, Morocco, India, etc, you know it’s because they only traveled to tourist traps and didn’t bother interacting with anyone who wasn’t an obvious tout

You're a homosexual, I spent a week in Rabat which is far from the tourist trap places like Fes and Chef, to the point where only one guy was abrasively asking for money. Still, no one in that city was friendly besides the curley haired big tiddied fit Moroccan girl I smashed.

Agree with a lot of these but so many of these feel way, way off.

Russia on par with Thailand? Thai people are insanely friendly, I mean genuinely very open and nice people in my experience and often in good spirits.

I’ve heard Russia on the other hand, in the big cities at least like Moscow and SpB, people are notoriously buttholes and unfriendly. Didn’t Moscow rank as the worlds most unfriendly city for years in a row?

Secondly, most of Western Europe as unfriendly? Go to rural Ireland, rural England or anywhere up north in the UK, like Liverpool or Manchester. Everyone is stupidly outgoing and easy to make friends with.

Also, Africa. My experience with Africans is that of aloofness and coldness in my experience when you’re in their countries, almost like they don’t want you there. Just my thoughts

I’m only 20 so I haven’t travelled a lot yet. In order of friendliest to least friendly
    Ireland
    Canada
    Italy
    Mexico

    France
Honestly though how friendly people are is typically a reflection of how annoying you are regardless of where you are.

The workers can be snobby buttholes who don't understand customer service. This has changed with millennials and zoomers but any gen xer or above in Russia will be a snobby butthole. Excluding customer service though the average person on the street in Russia is EXTREMELY friendly and chivalrous. Random people will help you with your luggage, invite you to drink/party or strike up a conversation in the street (usually bumming for cigarettes), etc. I find the Muslims/Central Asians much more friendly than the local Russians though. These people will invite to their house, introduce you to girls, etc. Russia is a great place for making friends. Thais (in my experience) just see you as an ATM. Yeah people will talk to you but they will want something out of it. I think there's just way too many tourists in Thailand these days so most Thais don't bother because they know they will never see you again. Maybe 30 years ago things were different.

Irish lasses are amazingly fun and open to conversation. They will literally pick YOU up lmfao. No joke, i was walking home from a bar one time and these random irish girls pulled up in their car and screamed GET IN! Wild stuff.

Bars are WAY better than clubs, know this. Drunkenness is a problem, i had multiple experiences where folks would randomly want to fight me. One time i was walking home late and a random drunk irishmen yelled WUY YOU GOT YOUR ARMS CROSS MATE (it was cold) and SLAMMED into me. Lmfao. Way drunk dude. Get used to that shit.

America is definitely the best country to make practical friends if you're at least middle class and only visit places a middle class person would enjoy. For instance if you go hiking, everyone you see no matter the race or state is 100% guaranteed to be very open and friendly, as poor people don't have the inclination to waste their time on recreation that isn't drinking or partying.
Best is definitely subjective and people say the non-ghetto Americans are overly friendly and would spend their whole day helping a stranger do whatever, but you could easily find that in many places. I'd say America has the most practical friends if you're looking at it from a pure "what can I get out of it" selfish standpoint. The middle class is well connected and knowledgeable, and you'll gain a lot from knowing people and they'll even invite you to nice places you otherwise would not have known about. This applies to jobs as well.
    t. grew up middle class and still benefiting from the connections to this day, connections purely from having an iota of a connection with a stranger to the point of talking to them such as sitting close to them at a country restaurant or something. My status right now is "sometimes I'm poor sometimes I have too much money"

It's only northern europeans that say Americans are uncomfortably nice in my experience. They (particularly germans) think they're the center of the universe and that their values are universal and just can't wrap their heads around the idea that someone genuinely would be concerned about a stranger's experience.

I think Americans actually got this trait from the southern europeans who immigrated to the US starting in the 1800s. It's part of the culture there to be concerned about everyone and to reciprocate by pretending you're fine so they don't feel bad for you.
