China does it better, once again

When did you realize that the best places to see and the best infrastructures are not the West anymore?

Look at all those fricking people though. I bet it's a 7 hour bus ride with 150 people who don't shower to get the privilege of standing in line for 4 hours to walk across that bridge for 15 minutes.

I did Havasu Falls a few years ago in the Grand Canyon. It looks exactly like the pictures online. We did it in early October and there were only 2 other people at the falls with us because they put strict limits on the number of visitors. It's also a difficult hike, so fat people and lazy tourists don't visit.

It's China. It's more like a 30 minute high speed train ride for $5 with comfy seats then a 10 minute bus ride. But yes, lots of morons around when you arrive.

Nothing like the 12 hours in traffic then hours of dealing with hours of drunk jackasses blasting music from their phones and throwing beer cans everywhere.

If you're implying that's what it's like at Havasu Falls, you couldn't be further from the truth.

The drive to the hike is on a super secluded road in the middle of nowhere. It's on a Native American Reservation. From the hilltop parking area, you have to hike about 10 miles to the waterfalls, or you can rent a mule. The Indians who live in the canyon take a helicopter. They don't allow alcohol anywhere in that canyon. We had a campsite with 200 feet on both sides of use that were empty. There are 4 or 5 different waterfall areas right around the village. When we did it in October, we saw maybe a dozen people at the falls all day. There is a hike further down the creek to a couple different waterfalls that are empty because of the difficulty of the final 5 miles of the hike. Havasu Falls is easily the most beautiful waterfall Ive ever seen, that includes Yellowstone, Yosemite. And that is saying something.

This is what most of the 5 hour drive from Las Vegas to Havasu Falls looks like. You definitely won't see traffic out there.

The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is a 3hr drive minimum from the nearest "big" cities and passes large swaths of nothing but grasslands and forests on the way. The North doesn't even open until May-June because its usually about 3-10ft deep in snow until then, and is another 2hr drive from the south rim. The climate at the bottom of the canyon is 40 degrees F hotter than at the top, it freezes on the tops of both Rims until May-June. The national park itself is about 2,000 sq mi, 270 miles long, covers 1.5 miles of elevation, and the park itself is surrounded by 10,000 sq mi of national forests and reservation land on all sides. People disappear or die there every year, even on the most trafficked trails (99% of the land is undeveloped). The average elevation of central and northern Arizona is approximately 5,500ft, and 6,500-7,000ft for the Mogollon Plateau and Mogollon Rim and the southern Rim of the GC, 7,000ft for the north rim of GC. A single area code in Arizona (928) is larger than the entire state of Florida and has less than ~850,000 people living in it.

So insecure. USA and China are both big countries of course they both have nice places. I for one prefer China because the USA is expensive and you need a car to get anywhere so China's more convenient even though I live 15 minutes from the US border.

Funniest post ITT. China can't appreciate being immersed in nature, it's all about taking a quick photo for social media, then packing up and rushing to the next stop.

Explains why I always see busloads of Chinese tourists at roadside stops taking pictures, but I never see any of them half a mile from the trailhead.

The bridge is not meant to increase natural beauty. Its only purpose is to enable you to admire what's around it. The bridge improves the experience. The bridge being ugly is completely irrelevant, since you look at the nature FROM the bridge.

Nope, look at the walkway along the cliff on the right. If you are there or anywhere else in that vicinity you're going to have to see that piece of crap

I don't think it's deliberate from a design perspective. I don't think they're trying to mimc israelitey globalhomosexual 'abstract art' garbage. That bridge is in the middle of a very populated city that sits on a literal swamp that is 30 miles from Shanghai, a city of 30 million people. if you want to see beautiful places, just use the street view in google maps for countries where they don't allow street view, like china. since the only pictures there are are those that people upload because they want, they tend to be interesting or beautiful places or scenes. just drop the little orange guy in any random isolated blue spot and you'll probably find some nice stuff

What’s more likely: China has grass like anywhere else and the people on this board who’ve been there several times can verify it, or an angry YouTuber who made a living saying “China will collapse in 2 weeks” for several years is lying?

Here’s a pic of a random park I visited. I can assure you it wasn’t painted, neither were any of the dozens of others. Maybe try shilling your videos elsewhere.
