Going to Lima, Peru

I am visiting my Fiancé's family and staying with them for 2 weeks. They live in a apartment in Miraflores, is there any good places to visit in Lima? I am a Spaniard so language isn't an issue.

Go to Barranco, go to the ruins (archaelogical site) in the city, go to the art museum, go to the two museums in pueblo libre. The museo larco is a must visit. Some of the buildings in the old part of the Centro are very nice.

Mario Testino has a museum in Barranco. not worth a special trip, but if you're there, you can stop by.

I'm sure your fiance will tell you about the food options and restaurants. But make sure she takes you to La Lucha!

While you're there by the way, Peru is one of the few places in the world where you can still get good ole honest to god gum syrup. They use it for the better pisco sours. You should bring a bottle of that home and some good pisco.

There's an amazing bar in Milaflores called Ayahuasca. Yes, like the psychedelic.

That's in Barranco. But God-tier booze. If there are too many people or you want something more "cheap" there are a lot of bars for every taste. BTW, be careful with the Pisco Sour. That stuff knocked down Noel Gallagher.
There's also El Bolivariano. Bigger place, more traditional, and it's owned by a distillery. That's in Pueblo Libre, a little far from the traditional party district but a good place anyways.

        >That's in Barranco.
I stand corrected. I remember it not being far, though.

        >But God-tier booze.
Yes, and a very cool atmosphere.

pueblo libre doesn't get tourists but it's got some gems like the museums and taberna de queirolo.

As long as I'm not retarded, is Lima relatively safe to visit considering the protests that have been popping up around the country?
