Not him but Singapore is a first world city-state that is pretty clean, very green, and extremely hot and humid.
Staying can be a bit expensive but the food can get pretty cheap, it's basically everything you can get in Asia in one place. They've got a lot of ethnic neighborhoods, little india, chinatown. Also, the parks, such as the garden by the bay, are really nice and comfy.
Also it's relatively easy to hook up and find someone with whom you can spend your days there.
>What's it like going there?
Here's the run down on Singapore: >Clean, orderly, modern, polite, friendly and very safe. >Singapore is tropical and can get fucking hot and humid. >The infrastructure (roads, highways, public transport) is better than many western countries. >They have the best international airport in the world. >It's the most expensive place in South East Asia due to the high standard of living. >Value Added Tax applied to everything, also restaurants and bars apply a service charge to every bill that you are expected to pay. >Drinking is very expensive as high taxes on alcohol, hotel rooms are small and pricey for what you get. >Food is good and a wide variety of Asian and Western cuisines are available. Hawker centres are cheapest and some hawker centres have amazing food. >Cheapest part of Singapore is Little India which as the name suggests is full of pajeets, so it is also the only part of Singapore that feels third world. >It's basically just a city on an island, it's not really a beach destination (Sentosa Island has beaches apparently), but you can easily do day trips to Malaysia and Indonesia for a change of scenery. >Strict laws keep it safe and orderly, but some say also somewhat soulless, Singapore has been described as Disneyland with the death penalty. >Big modern shopping malls everywhere, many malls right on top of MRT stations. >Orchard is the place that is famous for high end luxury stores everywhere, I found Orchard to be a pretty vacuous concrete and paving stoned soulless area. >Not as good as other SEA countries for cooming but gems can be found, Geyleng is good for Viet ladies. >If you're tall and white then you will get some attention from the local ladies, especially Malaysian pajeetas and Filipina workers. >Otherwise if you want a warm first world country to escape the northern hemisphere winter then consider Australia or New Zealand as it will be summer in those countries.
