Help

Hey guys
Need help.

In bangkok, my visa expires on the 23rd may.

Trying to do a visa run.

I just got turned away from my flight to Vietnam because apparently I was supposed to apply for a visa beforehand. Processing time for a fricking visa is 3 business days. So if I'm lucky I might be able to leave the country on time.

So, frick the Vietnam idea.

What are my options? I have one 30-day visa extension already in this calendar year.

Dude. You should not be travelling with this level of helplessness. Seriously. I'm not giving you baby steps to the border.

Fly to Singapore or Malaysia, they are both just as close as Vietnam.

Thailand is cracking down on visa runs anyways. Just go to Immigration and ask what can be done. They will likely give you a visa extension or at the very least give you guidance on what to do. How long are you planning on staying? Why not just go home?

You can get one visa extension each stay in Thailand. If you have already gotten a visa extension on your current stay, you'll need to leave. Like other anon said, you can do a border run to Cambodia and pay for a visa on arrival. It's as simple as taking a bus to Poipet. Use a visa agent to organize it if you have more money than common sense. If you are desperate and afraid of getting visas, fly to Philippines, but make sure you have a return/onward ticket.
