Help me apply for a British Passport (I have Autism)

It’s not fair bros. I’m a schizo NEET and don’t know anyone apart from family so no one will confirm that I exist.

I have to get a passport to travel because my last one was lost after 9 years. I have to submit a new photo but I’m to autistic to ask anyone I know to countersign it (I don’t know anyone).

Please explain how I can get this done? Ideally volunteer to be my countersigner if you’re a UK wagefriend who pities me.

Failing that I require advice on how I can do this in a way that doesn’t involve me leaving my room. I’ll do anything, including somewhat illegal things because I’ll probably kms soon anyway.

I have to get the passport to go to a family wedding in 2 months and I don’t want to ruin the wedding by suiciding before then.

Normies won't have their marriage ruined by a stranger offing themselves.

        Still, don't do it.

It’s the British system, I wish I was joking but it’s basically social life inspection day.

It can’t be family. It has to be a like a friend or colleague or some other kind person.

My answer would be to tell your family you need help with another person to sign for your passport renewal.
Someone in your family will be able to get one of their friends (priest, doctor, teacher, police officer) to blag it for you.

I might be able to try this but I don’t know how to ask my family this without being pathetic. Only my mum would help me with this and she might be dead next time I renew. She’ll be so disappointed that I made no connections of my own, so how do I ask this?

It's okay to ask for help. Don't ever think about it being pathetic. Everyone needs help with something at one time or another. I'd say for you to call your mum tomorrow and say something like: "Hi mum, I'm trying to get my passport renewed for [x wedding], but I don't have anyone who can sign for me. Do you know anyone would be able to help? It is really important to me that I'm able to go." I'm sure she will know a teacher or her local priest who can sign for you.

In my family we get our passports signed by our great uncle who is a priest.

Thank you, friend. I think this is what I’m meant to do but I don’t know how. I’m that moronic. I could just say what you said but I don’t know how to seal the deal or say thank you or whatever. I’m having a meltdown because it’s like I’ve failed beyond redemption at this point. I’d still like another way round this because i won’t have any other option in the future.

That's alright. We're not perfect creatures at social interaction. The first step for you is to not catastrophize. You can resolve this, and as you said, you already had the solution, but the fact you were stressing yourself stopped you. That's what you need to deal with right now. Calming yourself.

And you haven't failed. Real failure comes when you give up, but you're still trying. You're wanting to go to this wedding.

On the passport issue, I think there's not an easier way around this. You can text your mum if that makes it easier for you? You don't need to be elegant with words -- you could copy what I wrote and text it. I'd still say to call your mum though. Social interaction is a skill that only gets better with more experience.

I appreciate you mate. I’m never going to be calm about it though. I’m really done this time.

Can't you just go to a british embassy & talk to the professionals? Most anons on trv aren't from the UK and don't have this problem.

Not possible to do this in the UK really because if you try to talk to the passport office without an approved query then they will just hang up the phone or just not let you in the building.

    >they don’t have to go anywhere but they have to follow a link to verify and give their email address and telephone number and the passport office will phone them to check.

Someone do this shit for OP, it's kinda pathetic and I feel second-hand embarassment by reading it. Get a skillset and a job, moron. I'm sure the UK has courses for carpentry, welding, or a similar real life skill.

I had jobs but I don’t stay in touch with people so can’t ask them to do me a favour after ghosting them. Also I don’t mean to ghost them but I don’t have any reason to talk to them after I stop working with them.

Being a tradie wouldn’t help because the countersigner needs to be a civil servant, accountant, priest dentist etc.

Just realised I’m in the same boat mate. I was planning to renew my passport (had my previous one for 10yrs) but I don’t know anyone who’d qualify.

Idk what I need to do but I'll pretend I've known you for 2 years. Drop a reply with an email or discord or something and figure out what you need me to do.

I had a similar problem, I needed a second contact name to get a library card and I told them I didn't know anyone but they insisted so I just wrote Adolph Hitler with a made up address and phone number

cant you just go to the local police station? in Australia they can act as witnesses for legal documents and stuff i assume something similar applies

I second what others have said in this thread. Just bring it up pretty casually to your mum that you'll need to get someone to sign that meets those requirements and ask her if she knows anyone like that that could quickly sign it. There's a few people who have offered their contacts if this thread put I am also a britisher, I can help you if you're still struggling, juat drop some way of contacting you like a throwaway account on something if you need me.

          Still, don't do it.

          Updates:
I put some photography on Facebook as Boomer bait so that I could perhaps ameliorate with a lost contact. It worked on the person I had in mind but I hadn’t figured out how to ask the favour of them yet.

Last night my mother found out I was looking for the countersigner so she asked her friend for me today so that might work out.

It’s still a fake and gay requirement. Maybe if someone were to push it as a disability discrimination issue, they would have to drop the requirement. Especially since there are other identity verification protocols that exist.

I still intend to kms just not before the wedding because it would ruin it. Because it’s immediate family, so it would be an butthole thing to do.

Pay me, I'll fly to UK and I'll do the talking and everything. I will make sure to handle this with your parents or someone. If required, can bribe a homeless, not a problem.

I'm From EU. So expect for the flight to London be like $10.
