What would've you done in this situation:
>return to hotel at 01:30 am
>all staff are gone and only way in are electronic locks
>your key card no longer works
>get let in by someone else coming back
>but now you can't get into your room
>hotel staff are even unreachable by phone on their number they leave to call for emergencies
>no furniture to sleep on in the hallway or hotel lobby
I kicked down the hotel door and slept in the bed. Of course the staff were upset the next day, but honestly what could've I done different? No other hotel for miles and miles and I have no car. I will pay for the door frame but it's still dumb.
You not only fuck up but also decided it's a good idea to destroy someone else's property on top of it, how about you sleep in some random corner of the hotel?
And if I have to take a piss or shit in the night, then what? It's not my fault their shit key system broke or better yet they messed up the dates of my stay, deactivating my key before I actually checked out.
then you kick the fucking door. Did you have to take a piss or a shit ? No. So why even bring it up ?
I mean it's your fucking loss since you're paying and they have probably insurance.
it probably is your fault you demagnetized your key homosexual
never put a hotel key in the same pocket as your phone
Cheap shit is cheap. this never happens at normal hotels.
Anyway I got to bill only €74. So not bad.
I had it happen twice at the hilton last week (different hiltons, different countries)
fucking magnets
It happened to me this summer. But it was those assholes at the hotel who only programmed the card for 2 days! While I had booked for 9 nights!!
An Italian 4 stars...
I would've probably curled up under the front desk or something similar after trying the card a billion times and jiggling the handle etc. and all that shit obviously. Or vagrant holiday it and find an open janitors closet and take some linens and sleep under the stairwell or something.
>what could've I done different
Not kicked the door in
I would of knocked on the other guests doors and explained the situation hoping to coom in the process
btw based OP did the 2nd right thing after what I would have done
Stay in nice hotels rather than 1 star slums, 24hr front desk is a must
Every industry is critically under staffed.
Even $35/hr isn't enough to encourage people to apply for a "sit on your laptop from 10pm until dawn" job
At best in a lot of places you're gunna call someone who's asleep with the night phone
t. Best buddy does it for a living
Yeah, I called that number. No one answered.
I just stayed in a 13 dollar hotel in Vietnam they had 4 staff at the front desk 24 hrs a day. There's no excuse for you fat retarded yanks not to have it.
Bro I would work a hotel concierge desk overnight for like $20/h. If it's a third world nation they'd work for far cheaper and be happy to have such a safe and "boring" job but I'm a White American so I have unrealistically high standards and self-worth.
Honestly any self-respecting hotel staff can afford to have somebody at the desk until 2am, that's not asking too much.
but also,
> kicking down the door
I can't imagine what I would do in your situation but that's pretty hilarious and stupid. you must be american
> sit on laptop from 10pm until dawn
you don't have to stay awake, just sleep at the front desk until someone wakes you up for emergencies like OP's.
You're a base (read: not "based) troglodyte. Your fault for staying in some hole in the wall without 24 service (the standard of civilized hotel fare)
I would have gone to find a real hotel
true. I've learned that lesson.
I wear contact lenses and it will fuck up your eyes if you sleep in them or wear them too long. Medically I have the right to access to own items. What if I had to leave in the middle of the night due to am unforseen incident elsewhere?
No, I'm a man, and you may act like a woman but you'll never actually be one.
okay SighSeeplebs here's the differences between hotel classification
to qualify as a hotel you must atleast provide front desk reception, and private room with a bed for each guest, if you're a two star you should have an en-suite bathroom, daily room cleaning, provided towels and toilet kit, if you're a 3 star than you need to atleast have one on premise dining establishment, 24 hour front desk, provide breakfast, minibar, room service and space for luggage storage
by 4 star you should have atleast 3 on premise dining establishment, concierge, bell service, a business centre, 24 hour room service, service level should also noticeably a step above by now. Fully fledged 5 star would have turndown service, a welcome gift, a spa or health facility. Facilities must be top notch by now
5 star has been a bit diluted by now, i don't consider the bog standard Hilton or Hyatt to be 5 star, hell even a Ritz can be considered somewhere along the lines of 4.5 stars
t.specialised reservation agent
This place claimed to be 3 star though. but thanks for the guidelines
I got so fucked up on ice in Bangkok the 3 star hotel staff looked at me with visible disgust(reeking of ladyboy ass and cum when coming back sweaty to hotel probably didn't helpj.I even heard them talking about me and thought they will call police.I bailed 3 days after and changed hotel every day for 10 days.
>I even heard them talking about me and thought they will call police.I bailed 3 days after and changed hotel every day for 10 days.
lmfao you weren't kidding about being fucked up on ice
To be fair having two ladyboys fuck me in the ass at the same time while high felt great.
Do your turds just fall right out?
No, not really, I am actually still tight which is surprising. My farts though are much louder and longer in duration.
>fucked up on ice
>Of course the staff were upset the next day, but honestly what could've I done different?
Hotels fault. They should have night staff if they are a hotel.
You shouldn't have destroyed the door. You should have booked a taxi and slept in some other place, then asked the hotel to cover the cost and give you a free night.
>i had to kick the door down
>there was really no other way
>jiji the hotel clerk shows up 20 minutes later after going to 711
Yeah 24 hour recipient is a must, extremely valuable when you need it and plus when you fly in, the last thing you want is to pay like a $30 for a late check in cause reception is gone
