I think you can be succesful anywhere if you just walk around with a camera.

Bald and bankrupt got big just by filming russian steppes and dying villages around russia, if you find yourself an obscure niche like maybe discovering historical ruins that tourists dont usually hear about, you'll probably have a hit.

I love how half your questions just have you asking people to do all the work for you, if I knew of a niche that made me famous and rich I would probably do it myself homosexual. Start filming and just hope the youtube algorythm blows you up all of a sudden and then you will have found your niche,

Bald and bankrupt can also speak russian and comes across as very likeable to the locals and his viewers. Its probably not enough to just roll up somewhere as a stuttering late-teen-to-early-20s going ' . You have two choices as I see it, you can either be very knowledgeable and interested in your subject (b&b knows the language very well and is clearly interested and familiar with the history and culture) OR you can have something like charisma and massive positive energy, and really good camera shots (b&b also is very charismatic, but a good example would be more like kara & nate).

The biggest key is having a personality that people can connect with and want to follow. If you're some awkward stuttering idiot with mediocre production, you wont get anywhere.
The alternative is not showing yourself at all, but picking places people really wanna see and give them the feel like they're walking that area.
You can also fill a niche if you're from a particular country and cater to that audience. People are always interested seeing places from the perspective of a countryman.

If i wasnt a lazy self-concious loser , my gimmick would be finding the weirdest places in the countryside. Or like going around to famous murder sites and discuss the details, for the edgy clickbait.

weird is a buzzword that wont find you anything more than mediocre youtube channels honestly, try going for generic shit, like one guy on youtube just does fruits, from generic bananas he can find in NY to incredibly rare fruits full of legend that you never even knew existed

i think any topic could be successful if it is shot well or presented in an entertaining manner
is it a subject that autists obsess over like all trains + luxury train rides for the hopeless materialistic dreamers + adventurous sketchy train drives for the wanabee adventurer?
some people video themselves doing fancy flights and hotel rooms.
some people live in a city that is massive but also attracts foreigners like nyc, tokyo, seoul.

having bobs in your screenshots helps

i think the most tolerable topic you can do consistently is your best chance of success.

    1. Have a niche
    2. Be in the closet and very subtilty let that out in your videos.
    3. Have no shame
    4. Talk to everyone

if you're too autistic to film yourself talking to locals you can be like Jango Hazzard or whatever the name/channel is, basically the guy just goes around London and films very specific and possibly obscure shit like a train station with an interesting story, or just a weird random outside elevator and gives you its entire history

he isnt youtube famous and still works for a living but I think its a nice channel

If you really want your videos to look good, get a light DSLR like the Canon EOS Rebel SL3 that will shoot 4k video. Then get a good motorized camera stabilizer that will hold a DSLR. There is a DJI on Amazon for $270.

You also need a decent computer with a newer graphics card for video editing. Without a dedicated video card, you won't be able to edit and render 4k video.

With just these this amount of gear, you can shoot pro quality video. Let call it 750 for the camera, 270 for the stabilizer and 700 for computer that can edit 4k.

If you don't want to make that kind of an investment, you can always shoot video with your cellphone and a $100 motorized stabilizer. It'll still look great. You might want to shoot this way first to see if this is something that you like and can stick with.

It's easy to get views if you have a halfway decent looking chick in your videos. You don't even need to talk. Just use a thumbnail with the chick in a bikini and it's 500,000 views guaranteed. Ive worked for a couple different companies shooting videos. I learned that getting someone to talk on camera, especially with a script is 100 times harder than just shooting video and doing a voice over off camera with a script. That's how I do it exclusively now. My 3 most viewed videos are up to about a million views each. They all had a cute chick and a voice-over. Best of videos and tutorials always did well for me too.

Do you have tips to share on how to get your first views with that type of content? Is it really just a matter of posting a chick in a bikini?
