I actually know how. Cuz I did it. And I was worse off than you. I promise. By chance, are you the same anon who posted the LatAm trip fear of travel? Regardless, I'll take time out of my evening to type this out for you on what I did
    >Use Google Flights. Round trips are cheaper for this about 80% of the time. Are you in the USA, or Europe?
    >Book a round trip 3 to 5 days out. 20 minute to 45 minute flight. Either come back same day, or sleep the night and fly back.
    >Most states have some 20 ~ 30 minute flights. EWR to New Providence RI, EWR to Philly, can then graduate to EWR to BOS for a 40 minute flight for example.
    >Yes, the goal here is exposure. You are to do at least 4 to 6 flights per week. With the goal of lowering your level of anxiety from a 10 (freaking out) to a manageable level. Like a 4. You're anxious, sure. But, you're fine at this level.
    >Too many people will hop on a 3 hour or a 8 hour flight, shit their pants the entire way and wonder why they're still afraid of flying after x amount of times
    >Exposure therapy's goal is to lessen the impact of anxiety, to a manageable level. Not to scare the shit out of yourself, and traumatize yourself. Get on, get off. That's a win in my book.
If you can't do 6 flights per week, that's fine. Just do 2 or 4 flights. The more the better though. As you fly, simply expand on the time spent on the plane a little more. If your longest flight was an hour, try 1hr 30 minutes to 2 hrs. Then 2.5 to 3hrs. Then try an international trip from FLL to Punta Cana, celebrate with easy latina girls & alcohol.

I recommend this book btw. Can download it for free with the Kindle app off Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Face-Your-Fear-Flying-Everything-ebook/dp/B08LJHHQ5S/ref=sr_1_1?tag=ganker-20&crid=2RSYQPBB3M7EQ&keywords=face+your+fear+of+flying&qid=1687244164&sprefix=face+your+fear+of+flying%2Caps%2C64&sr=8-1

    >Recently, the tremendous U.S. record for air safety established since the 1970s has been fraying at the edges. The first three months of 2023 saw nine near-miss incidents at U.S. airports, one with two planes coming within 100 feet of colliding. This terrifying uptick from years prior resulted in the FAA and NTSB convening safety summits in March and May, respectively. Whether they dared to discuss root causes seems unlikely.

Who cares if the plane crashes, at least it will be a quick end (probably)

Does anyone know any over the counter anti-anxiety supplements that actually work? I've been reading about niacin and L theanine. I'm not gonna even bother going to a doctor and getting Xanax, they don't prescribe that shit anymore.

No, placebos don't work. Either go to a doctor or just get over it.

Out of curiosity, how much does this help? Not OP, but I can afford this.
