It's pretty much impossible but you should have activities planned, book things you want to do, and have an objective.

    >sightseeing

    Is not really an objective

Going to see a certain castle and getting autistic about it is.

Not entirely true. The locals won't care but it does make some other Western tourists (usually women) uneasy.

Can you explain to me what make tourists women uneasy when they see a 30+ solo traveler?

they will assume that you are there because you can't get pussy at home, or that you're a pedophile looking for specific things.
For women, those two things are equally creepy

I couldn't tell you since I'm not a woman. I would guess that single guys make some women uncomfortable. They much prefer to be in a couples only environment.

            Anonymous

As a solo dude, I'm not going to be in couples type environments. I'm going to be in places where the local women interested in single western men are. And western tourist women don't like those spaces so I rarely see them.

        Anonymous

After I leave the airport I usually don't see Western women again until I go back to the airport to fly home.

Occasionally I might see them, but I'll usually ignore them since I'll probably have a young 18-25 y.o. local hottie on my arm going back to my hotel room.

What people think about you back home is the real killer. They will probably think you are a closeted gay if your a guy. I Have a brother in law that’s done some solo traveling. I’m sure he was taking it up the ass.

Travel in your 50s is the best as an American. All the local women will want to frick you to escape their poor country. All the services will cater to you for your perceived wealth.
