How much have you traveled within your country?

I've traveled to the Japan, Spain, Italy, Israel and Egypt - only have Turkey, Greece and Israel left on my bucketlist. After I'm done I want to dedicate the rest of my travels to the North America region, especially my country.

I don't have much desire to travel within Canada

I would like to visit NYC (again) and DC but that's about it for North America.

I had the good fortune to live for at least a few years in six different cities in five states in very different regions, driving across the US several times in the process, and traveling locally/regionally quite a bit wherever I lived. So I’ve seen a lot of the United States, albeit sometimes briefly.

I’m still missing some significant chunks of the country—I’ve never been to New Orleans, for example, nor to Arizona, both of which seem worth visiting. And I’ve only spent one day in Alaska, and that was just messing around in Anchorage on a layover.

So I have gaps to fill, if I ever move back to the US (I moved to Europe a few years ago and have mostly traveled around here since then). But I feel like I have had at least a taste of the majority of the country.

How did Anchorage factor in to a layover?! Where were you flying to that made Anchorage a stop off?

I was flying between the East Coast of the US and Asia on the cheapest available tickets. This was some years ago now, so it may be less common these days now that more direct polar routes are available, but the Taiwanese airlines (thinking specifically of EVA—do they even exist anymore? Pretty sure China Air did it too, though) often used to use it as a final departure point before flying to Taipei. Transited through Anchorage at least twice, maybe three times, but stayed overnight once for the hell of it.

Other than that im studying in north east blacksea cost of the Turkey. next year I'm planning to visit the cities around there.

So, i saw most of the valuable stuff in my country but i also want to visit south east regions too.

It’s an annoying new meme that’s been forced around here in recent months. People who post it believe that cities are uniformly inauthentic or otherwise bad, and people who like to visit them are unthinking automatons. Real discerning travelers evidently visit only rural areas and hang out exclusively with farmers and other rustics.

    >there aren't only cities in the world, you fricking moron
City term is not same as yours in the perspective of my country. When I say i visit x city, i doesn't mean that i just go to an "urban" city. I mean i visit some places in a big land mass which is called city.

I guess city term in my country is equal to the "state" in american perspective.

I’m from Vancouver in Canada. I’ve been to Calgary, Edmonton, Whistler, Prince George, Victoria, Tofino, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Banff, Jasper, Toronto, and Windsor. I haven’t ever been Sask or Manitoba or any farther east than Ontario unless you count the Montreal airport.

    > you don't even know that there are things in the world that aren't shities neither farms, things like mountains, glaciers, wilderness, deserts, outdoors activities, astronomy, geology, abandoned buildings and structures
You got me! I wasn’t mocking kneejerk hatred of cities in a facile and childish way, I just had no idea that there were things other than cities and agriculture. I sure fell into that trap you mention.
    >old buildings
Aren’t abandoned structures also old buildings at heart?
    >diseased prostitutes
    Eww, no thanks.

And there are prostitutes in the countryside too, y’know. I assume they’re farmers’ daughters.

Been to 6 of the 10 provinces, no territories. Planning on doing the maritimes next year, that will leave on Saskatchewan left, although who knows when I'll get to that

I've been everywhere except the Maritimes, only did it because I have citizenship. Expensive and boring. Only found Quebec to be somewhat redeeming, but that's it. Ontario is truly the asspit of the country, which explains a lot. Canada as a whole is an expensive soulless shithole.

    I have a 50/50/50 life time goal.
    50 US States
    50 US National Parks
    50 Countries

I have 34/15/16 accomplished respectively and am focusing solely on the USA for the next few years until Globohomosexual chills out a smidge.
