I need some tips/suggestions from you guys.
I've never been on vacation alone and when I went on vacation, I just visited my home country with my parents. I'm a total loser when it comes to these things. In the end of September I have some free time and I thought that I should finally get some balls and travel alone.
>is it way too late to book a flight/accommodation for a trip in 2/3 weeks?
I feel like it's way more expensive on such short notice, right?
>where should I go?
I thought of going to Italy or Spain. Any tips on which city/area to visit as a noob traveller? Also, should I look for an Airbnb or hotel?

    >is it way too late to book a flight/accommodation for a trip in 2/3 weeks?
Generally the shorter the notice the higher the prices. This is true especially when it comes to accomodation. Flight prices are notoriously schizophrenic and hard to predict, people who tell you they can consistely somehow find cheaper-than-average flights by using whatever arcane trick are usually lying to you. Booking flights with a long notice is however usually better, price wise, than last minute flights, but that can change.

Keep in mind that "cheap" and "expensive" are relative terms. If you're rich and/or from a wealthy country, you might find that a trip in a poorer region (which depending on your economic situation may mean anything from places like the Balkans to literal Africa) is very cheap, even if booked on a very short notice.

    >where should I go?
    Anon, that depends on

    1) your budget
    2) what you want exactly to do (something relaxed vs. adventurous, outdoorsy vs. city-based, etc.)
    3) how much time you have

so answering that question is hard without knowing at least one of the three. Italy and Spain are both classic options, but very generic (both are big countries with many different regions/cities that have different sights and different price ranges)

Airbnb is usually slightly cheaper but again, that may change depending on where you go

      >Anon, that depends on
      >1) your budget
I honestly have no idea what a normal budget would be. How much for example are flights usually from Germany to Madrid, Rome etc.? I can definitely spend a few hundred euros.
      >2) what you want exactly to do (something relaxed vs. adventurous, outdoorsy vs. city-based, etc.)
I guess a city would be pretty nice. Even better if it's near some beaches or whatever.
      >3) how much time you have
      About 10 days.

      >honestly traveling alone kind of sucks
Okay but what should I do if I am not a very sociable person and have literally no friends? I guess travelling alone is still better than not travelling at all, but I don't know...

I've only ever travelled alone to the US but all I did was hike, dine and photograph shit. Dunno, I feel like big cities are all the same shit unless you know people so I skip them when alone and just head for scenic places and camp. Find some events to go to. For instance, I like racing. I could plan a trip around the 24h of Nürburgring in May. You feel me?

oh, so do you want to be a loser for the rest of your life?
will your life be better with, or without, better social skills?
if you don't learn to socialize now, when will you learn?
life is short. think hard about what you want do with your time on earth.
