Hawaii anon here. Tahiti truly is the most beautiful place on earth, like Hawaii but many times more extreme (in every sense). It’s further away (most flights arrive via LAX), more pure and rich in culture, the environment is second to none, as are the prices. Look up a stay on Costco travel to get a sense of how much you can expect to pay originating from wherever you are.

I’m a Marriott platinum (50 nights/yr), fly exclusively business class for leisure trips, and have extensive experience with airline and hotel loyalty programs. Given that, there’s nowhere else would I rather go in the world than Tahiti and her islands

You can get away not speaking either, but not everywhere obviously. Be sure to schedule some time to just do nothing, there is nothing quite like it.

      Frick off, poorgay

      lol even boracay is better

sounds like it isn't worth it and that Thailand/Philippines is a year on $15,000.

Besides the name/branding, what's the point?

      For incels like you, maybe

I know this is a larp, but it makes me chuckle thinking about some autist randomly telling people that he is a club member of albertsons and has enough points to get a free set of plastic dishes or whatever you are bragging about

No larp needed. If you don’t understand elite status no one cares and it’s to your detriment anyway. Those of us who actually work and travel for a living are quite invested in these things

Agreed, I tell everyone I meet unironicaly that I'm a member of Rite AIDs preferred plus club with eGold status. They are always interested and when I sign them up I get bonus points towards my next purchase of Trojan Maxims, ribbed for her pleasure. I go thru alot and sometimes hookup with people I tell about my AIDS membership eGold status. It's always good to demonstrate value when talking with the ladies

    >How long should I stay?
In my opinion, you should try and stay at least 6-7 nights to make it worth the time it takes to get to Bora Bora. It takes at least 2 days to travel to Bora Bora from the mainland US, since it requires an overnight stay in Papeete because the Air Tahiti flights all leave in the early morning or early afternoon.

    >What should I do while I'm there, and about how much will it all cost?
Here's some of the stuff I saw when I was there (Fall 2021)

Free: Swim, snorkel, relax on the beach/bungalow, walk around the island and talk to locals
$80: Get a guided hiking tour on the main island
$500-$1000: Hire a private speedboat boat tour for half/full-day
$250-$1000: Get a massage at one of the resort's spas
$500-$2000: Scuba diving tour (depending on if you need training)

I saw some people kite surfing on the southeastern part of the atoll, but I have no idea how much that costs. I also saw some para-gliding and para-sailing, but again I don't know the prices

    >Can I get by without knowing any French or Tahitian?

Yes. The French residents will speak French/English. The Polynesians will speak Tahitian/French/English. English is very prominent on Bora Bora because of all the tourists.

I almost forgot - total cost for 2 people w/airfare, 7 nights in Le Moana, and everything else came out to about $15,000 USD.

Did you stay in a fancy hotel? I'm kinda tempted, because they look so nice, but I've also seen some REALLY cheap Airbnbs.

The Intercontinental Le Moana is the cheaper IC in Bora bora. All 1st rate hotels are on the motu, which means four seasons, st Regis, le meridien, Conrad, IC thalasso, etc. the motu and the actual bora bora island is a world of difference away

I do nothing on every trip because I'm a neet. "Schedule some time to do nothing". Done. Now I will head to the red light district a block away. Done. Then I will go scuba diving with the turtles. Haha, joking!

Is it possible to swim between the islands?

Is Tahiti really that great? I've heard that it's unspoiled but the fact that it's France ruins it. The people suck and aren't friendly especially in the capital.
