You're going to be surprised how few beaches there are. I went twice last year (had a local gal I was porkin I met on my first trip there). Most of the coastline is rocky cliffs. That being said, it has a lot of really interesting history. Do a walking tour of Valletta, it's fascinating. Also, the megalithic sites like Hagar Qim are a must. You can take buses all over the island, but they are fucking never remotely on time. DO NOT rent a car, the road system is the worst in Europe by far and the street layout was obviously inspired by the Arabic influence.

To this day I have never seen a worse public transport system than Malta. Literal third world shitholes with privately owned unmarked vans manage to be far more reliable.
Maybe it's gotten better nowadays but it was absolute hell when I went there a few years ago.
Also drink Kinnie OP, easily the best thing to have ever come out of Malta.
Don’t listen to this guy. I used to live there and bought a car with no driving experience the minute I got my license. The public transport sucks, rent a car it will open up the whole island to you. Do make sure you pay for extra insurance though.
If you're tall and sighsee you stand a good chance. The women there are pretty shallow and fashion obsessed. They also have a large amount of tourists so they have a rotating supply of men with enough money for holiday. Along those lines though you might stand a good chance with another tourist who's there.
you can make a Maltese cross
ask me how
Call him an Arab

Oh, also eat a bunch of pastizzis I love those flakey little bastards.
Gozo is also a good place to visit if you want it to be less crowded and the ferry only takes like thirty minutes.
St. Peters Pool is also a fun place to do some swimming and cliff jumping, but it does get crowded.

It hasn't.
t. Was just there nine months ago. Literally rural Jamaica was easier to get around.

Retarded take. OP if you are from the UK or the commonwealth you might be fine. Otherwise, definitely get the extra insurance.
I literally told him to buy extra insurance. Learn to read.

So there's a decent chance of getting laid there?

Not really. It's kind of a shithole. Valletta gives you an afternoon of pleasant strolling and that's about it
there are some old temples which are orientated towards solaris. from 7000 years ago.
The underground tour in Valetta is pretty cool and inexpensive.
I was literally only white person on a bus one ride here. Felt unsafe as hell.
There are basically no beaches btw. Medina was cool and there's some well preserved Roman mosaics on the island if you care about that
