it's overhyped and not as good as everyone makes out. don't get me wrong, it's nice, but every fucking person goes on about it like it's the greatest place to ever exist, and it isn't. and i'm sick of 25-40 year old women acting superior and cultured because they moved there. i will concede that the food is s-tier, though.
Idk what you mean about the food being s tier, everything was mid at best that I tried, only upside was it being cheap. The only cool part of turkey was the Topkapi palace
kek. so you didn't leave the tried and true """backpacker""" route. if you didn't go to Kars/Dogubeyazit/Mardin you didn't actually go.
Don’t really care, country sucked wasn’t interested in exploring it
kinda jealous of how you can have such strong opinions with so little experience or understanding of something
you sound like a gay
Just came back and I100% agree.
Food is not good, there are crowds everywhere and people are kinda unfriendly. Visually it's stunning, but the whole experience was meh.
Haghia Sophia is god tier tho, the archaeological museum was also nice.
I learned turkish in school in america. I want a cute turkish gf
>cute
>turkish
>girl
you can have any 2 of these but not 3
>nooo you aren't a RealTraveller(TM) like me
you're saying I can have cute turkish boys?
there are good neighborhoods, average neighborhoods and bad neighborhoods in istanbul just like any other big city. weirdly, nomads-tourists never go to good ones.
Here is my neighborhood for instance. I don't see any tourists other than Russians and Ukrainians. Way better than Haliç (goldenhorn) imo.
