Poor guy, try Spain Christmas is a fiesta over there. Do not go to the north, it's cold dark and depressing. As an half Spain living bin norther germany i know what i write, Even the empty beaches of costa de la luz are better than here, At least there is one café open. Or go to the Canarias full of tourists then. But always impose yourself a duty. Drawing, Golf course Flamenco Guitar, or Dance, 3D construction of the Fort of Cádiz, whatever.

re-construction, writing a film script and hiring some people for test shoots on a ferry to Tangier is my plan btw.

Then why do you care about Christmas? Everything will be closed and people will be with their friends and family.

    [...]

Do this. But in Thailand not India. Some country with hot women that doesn't do a big deal about Christmas.

Christmas is a holiday invented by corporations

Maybe Christmas as we know it, but the tradition itself goes waaaay back, before even Christianity. Take back your cultural heritage, cut down a tree, do fun shit, eat shrooms, do what you need to do to reclaim our holy day from the godless heathen corporations

Christmas has been around way longer than the idea of a corporation was even thought up

Yeah but it was based then, families gathering for meals and the town out for parades on the town square. Now it's cringe shit like what you're supposed to get your boss to make a good impression.

Go to Finland. It's peaceful in winter and in Lapland there is a festival with lights. You can find other travelers to enjoy it with by staying in a hostel, booking a tour, or just looking online for travel buddies.

If you go to Asia, it wont be a holiday and businesses will operate as per usual.

I was on a 3 month Eurotrip over winter and spent Christmas in Malta with her.
Even with her it was incredibly lonely.
