Its a fine idea EXCEPT do yourself a favor and do it in Northeast Asia (Taiwan/China/Japan, exclude SK). Japan is harder but if you have a real resume I dont know why you couldnt find a job there. China/Taiwan a lot easier to set up residency without a job.

After spending 5 months in Thailand last year, I wouldn't want to have a Thai wife. They are easy, sure, but is that what you want from your wife? I found that they weren't too smart. Plus you just don't know which ones worked as prostitutes in the past. Prostitution is a real problem in Thailand.

Tbf serious dating for zoomzooms and younger millennials is totally and completely fricked in most of the anglosphere. Lots of obeastity (higher rate in women than men), a culture that actively discourages families especially normal families, and lots of girls that start in middle school and just are totally ran through by the time you hit college age, let alone later. I personally rate myself a solid 7/10, maybe even 8 on a good day, and I feel like an 8 or 9 out here. I'd say being in Thailand knocks you up a point.
I'm also a stock trader - well, more crypto and gold - and I'm living a very nice life out here. I eat out once a week, can take my girlfriend shopping, am man enough to support her family when she needs it, and have been to the beach a few times.
I don't see any need to even bring her back out to the US. Thai culture is far superior out here. If you try, you'll fit in and be accepted as a Thai in practically no time. Jobs are really easy for white people too, I do a couple of hours at a school and it's great money for little work.

This. There's no such thing as a wife material in Thailand, Thai girls who marry foreigners are usually former pros trying to settle. Conservative Thai girls marry with Thai men and it's hard to find one as a foreigner.
I have two friends in Thailand who are married to thai women.
First owns a resort. They are both wealthy and met at college in London. Her family own the land they built the resort on and they have a pretty great life with a house in Bangkok too.
Second guy met her on holiday there. I'm pretty sure she used to be a bar girl. They seem pretty happy and loved up, I think she likes that he looks after her and protects her. From what I've heard her family are a big of a nightmare though, coming to him for money and acting like plebs.
I considered getting serious with a thai girl. We're still friends, but she's a bit too needy and I think looking for someone so that she's set for life and can go from working and being middle class, to a lady of leisure.
You've got to look carefully at what you're getting into. As others have mentioned, some thais come across as really dumb, I just can't get my head around people being so gullible and superstitious in 2023. People leaving food out as gifts to spirits when it's clearly the rats coming and eating it, or the garlands they hang on their review mirror to protect them, but then drive like a twat drunk or off their breasts because the 20 baht garland will save them.

Do you know Thai? Are you willing to learn to it? Have you ever lived in Thailand? Are you okay moving to Thailand? Are you religious? Thais are very superstitious. Are you okay giving her family money before marriage and every month after? You’re not only marrying her but her whole family. You’re expected to take care of them and vice versa. I feel most white farangs looking for a Thai wife want the trad aspect but aren’t willing to give to it themselves. My advice is to stay in your containment zone and marry your own race.
