Mormons are easy to get along with but are tribalist in a more subtle way. They're generally very polite but if you work with them you might find they don't really want to work with you or they might not hire you at all. They're like a cult or secret society in which they have peculiarities that identify each other as mormon that other Christians do not have.

Yup. Being friendly with them is one thing. Being allowed to 'belongs or be treated as an equal is a totally different thing.

It’s very difficult to succeed in Mormon culture as an outsider. They’ll ostracize you if you don’t join the tribe. Just like all religion and cults.

    Cost of living exploding
Paid parking in all the good places
Social things are a mixed bag, visiting is fine but once you realize every mormon community there has their own cliques you'll start to be annoyed.
    Taxes
Things to do 1/2 the year
Job opportunities are HEAVILY influenced by nepotism which ties into the mormon society which you are not part of

Sundays are also great in Utah because mormons are in church ALL DAY LONG. You'll have the entire place to yourself and the other normal people. It's like 60% of the population just vanishes and there's hardly any annoying kids anywhere. Great time to go to the slopes or hiking. A lot of stuff is closed but grocery stores, Walmart and bars and some other nonmormon businesses are open.

I thought the non-mormons were meaner to me than the mormons

Agreed, I don't think discussing moving is relevant to SighSee. SighSee is more about tourism, ie. traveling for fun. If you're traveling for actual major life changes, I think SighSee would be more suitable.

Go visit SLC during the winter to make sure you can tolerate the air first.
