Isolation

I’m in Amsterdam, and loneliness terrorizes me every day from the moment i open my eyes to the moment I close them. This is supposed to be the best years of my life and I made a lot of money from investing and my life is passing by quickly like a dream that I can only watch from afar in a steel cage underwater. This is brutal torture.
Maybe I have an avoidant syndrome? I’m so disconnected from humanity.

One step at a time. The steps towards learning how to socialize are going to be awkward and difficult, but if you don't take them you are going to be lonely for the rest of your life

Same, but in America. How old are you and how much money do you have? I'm mid 30s with around $650k from investing, I live at home and spend my days NEETing away on the computer.

      26. Comparable to what you have, maybe slightly more, don’t even care to know for sure.

It seems meaningless, we’re sleepwalking our best years. And the worst part is the only and only one thing to blame is our own cowardness, which we can probably easily fix. It’s literally in our head, and one morning we can wake up a different person, but we don’t.

depends on the person, ive never been comfortable socializing, just dont like it, finally accepted it after trying to be someone different and live life to the fullest though its all just experiences that get lost to memory, got ten years on you so cant really blame hardcore internet use for my awkwardnes, and poor, though content enough, just accepting repetitive and dull reality, enjoying what i can, ive visited over 30 countries, lived it up, but its just not fulfilling to me

Why dont you just go see a therapist? You know what the problem is, you have the means to get it fixed and you want to get it fixed. What the frick

Find a church, mormon, Muslim, or mennonite, embrace God, get a girl and have kids. Or suffer for the rest of your days. You choice. Do not respond I don't want to hear your excuses

What about getting a part time job to meet people? You have enough money so you can try some niche ones. Or maybe join some sports club

no you're just you bro. 🙂 travel will not cure you, it only brings out the real issues.
You're a frickup and the more you run from your problems, the more avoidant and distant you will be.

travel isn't for you, anon. It never was. 🙂
