Let's say you're stuck in LONDON

I know it's not a destination, BUT let's say you have to be there alone 4 days, between two flights or whatever.

How to you spend these 4 days?

Imagine having a queen that literally gave away an entire empire. She'll go down as one of the worst rulers to ever exist

Consequently, go up to random Brits and ask how it feels to have the sun set on their legacy

I leave and stay in Surrey instead. Probably Guildford or somewhere near there.

I was going out in Guildford this year during the Queens jubilee it was kind of shit. I'm Dutch btw and everything they said about Wetherspoons is true. There was a guy that came up to sit at our table and starting talking about Morbius of all things. He then asked a girl that was next to us if he could make out with her and was declined, then he left.

there is literally no reason in the world to go to guildford unless you are a music student or an extraordinarily dedicated horror film fan

I'm convinced the only reason people go to Guildford is because they were just passing through trying to go somewhere else but instead got caught in that hellish fucking one way system

describe yourself a bit anon what you like or dont like or want to experience
because in 4 days, you could train out of the city to some quieter smaller scale cities that are very comfy for brief tourism.
for example im a boring boomer who doesn't like the crowd of a megacity if im just wandering and not there with a purpose.
many cities you could get to 2hour train out of london that i would rather spend a long weekend in - york and cambridge i know are comfy
i'd be interested in oxford, cantebury, winchester, salisbury, bath (+Cotswold's)

but if you are only interested in staying in london will answer that

Don't stay at the Marriot London in Maida Vale. It's literally right next to a mosque. You might get blown up there, so avoid that hotel.

All the places you'd want to go in London as a tourist are safe, central London never gets quiet. Pickpockets are a thing in all major cities around the world so to be safe have a spare wallet with different cards in so that you'll always have access to cash should the worst happen. If you have to get your phone out when walking, keep an ultra tight grip on it (moped based muggings have plummeted after they clamped down on them but someone could still try to snatch it and run off).

I second Winchester and Canterbury, for the former see if you can check out the College (it's what you'd call an old high school; was a student there) and walk along the Itchen. If it's wisteria season then it'll be especially pretty. Only downside is that there's nothing to do after dark, it's lacking in decent places to eat, and the centre is full of mouthy chavlets.
Go on a day when the Choristers are singing in the cathedral; you'll get in for free and catch some uncommon music
