Moving out to Osaka for 2-3 months. I need advice since is the first time going to Japan.
>Where should I stay
>Sharing room vs having my own room

>General advice
My budget is 15k, I like the traditional japanese stuff, I despise anime. I would like to meet new people there. My japanese is mid at best.
>What should I do there
Why are you "moving out" there in the first place
Don't stay in Osaka for 3 months, idiot.
>>work
Get a long-term Airbnb, actually finding proper rental apartments is a pain
>Where should I stay
Depends what you're looking for, but I'd recommend near Namba or Hanazonocho stations.
>Sharing a room vs having my own room
Just get your own room/place. Why share?
>What should I do there?
In 2-3 months you can reliably see everything there is to see not only in Osaka itself, but Kyoto, Kobe, Tokyo, and realistically you can take a cheap JA flight/Shinkansen to basically anywhere in Japan.
>General advice
I'd recommend that after your first two weeks in Osaka and Kyoto, you branch out and take the Shinkansen to Tokyo, Sapporo, Fukuoka, etc and see more of Japan. My biggest gripe I had with Osaka is that it's filled with the most obnoxious foreign tourists in Japan - far worse than Tokyo tbh.
To be honest I think with your budget you should just hop across the major cities of Japan (Tokyo, Osaka/Kyoto you can doubleteam at one location since they're so close, Sapporo, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka). The Japanese rail system is pretty robust so you can get around fairly easily anywhere. For instance if you stay in Fukuoka, you can pretty much go anywhere on Kyushu.
Japanese people, in my experience, are pretty carefree and open to meeting new people as long as you don't come across like a retarded autist. In their minds an American is an overconfident and cocky guy, so you have to play to that part and do it well. How well you do that, however, is up to you.
thanks for the advice! really appreciate it, I was thinking about sharing rooms because it is cheaper and it would be a chance to meet people, but having my own place and privacy is something I don't know I want to give up
Just get a hotel or airbnb. It's pretty cheap and easy in Japan in my experience, as long as you look and book ahead.
I figured he meant a hotel or an AirBNB.
get his own room/place as in dorm? because there is no such thing as short term apartment here let alone a foreigner without a 保証人
You're "moving" to a country you've never been before for 3 months.
Lol
Lmao
Not only that, but he doesn't know why and what to do there.
Typical 16 year old retard posting on this board.

Hey I think the board needs one more Japan thread
Jesus fuck, I love Japan and all but how about you ask in one of the TWO generals that are currently fucking open? We have Japan generals for a reason.

Sounds more like a summer getaway than a move. Get a BnB gay
Don't get a fucking airbnb. The last thing Japan needs is retards saying
>Wow, what a deal! Only $500 a week for an apartment? I can't believe it's only $1000 a week! That's so cheap! I'm getting a great deal by only paying $1500 a week!
Just get a properly sized hotel.
Most APA hotels in Tokyo are under $500 per week anyway
if you're a cute girl you can stay at my place :^)
