Work is sending me to Munich for 5-6 days in late November. A few. Questions:
>what should I do?
>how can I mooch (expense$) the most value
>where should I stay/ what should I eat and drink?
>are they any places nearby with visiting?
>what airlines are good to fly from North America (Canadian or American) I get to fly premium economy.
I’m not a coomer like most of SighSee I have a wife, so I don’t need German brothels or anything. I know Christmas markets will be happening, any suggestions? Any Anons open for a meetup?
>What airlines are good to fly from North America (Canadian or American)
Try to get a codeshare flight operated by one of the European Flag carriers, you'll get the better service while still flying an "American" airline.
Avoid Air France because CDG is a mess.
Thanks anon, what flag carriers are good?
Is Salzburg any good?
Salzburg is nice, doable as day trip if you take the train and leave early and come back late.
As for airlines, since 2020 things have changed so just take a look at recent airline ratings and pick the airline that suits you the best (comfort, transfer airport, food, etc.).
>>are they any places nearby with visiting?
You can do day trips to Augsburg or other small cities in the area.
Some of the lakes in the South of Munich can be nice, although November is the shittiest month for outdoor activities already cold but not proper winter yet.
You can got for a weekend in one of the resort towns like Bad Tölz, Bad Endorf, etc.
It's a bit far, but Lake Constance is nice, if you're staying there overnight you can even take a short peek at Switzerland and Austria!
Yeah bro totally go get pussy you're big white man in poor land.
Pussy everywhere. You are such a winner here you will get all the pussy you want.
>>are they any places nearby with visiting?
no. none at all
Kek Germany is really an American colony they even recreated the Disneyworld castle there after WW2 to stimulate tourism, that poster in the other thread about the Disneyfication of the world was right
There's a hand painted Mickey mouse mural on the roof of the Disney castle.
Neuschwanstein is an underwhelming fake and literally gay 19th century castle that is not worth visiting. There are thousands of castles in Germany that are authentic and better
I was going to recommend this classic about 2 hours away by car. But when I loaded up Google Maps just now... holy fricking shit. Which one of you guys did this?
They did it to themselves because they were tired of having their sign stolen.
You should go there and steal their sign just to spite them and to enhance your spurdo collection.
You should also eat at the local Asian restaurant and post photos.
Totally forgot about Neuschwanstein, definitely worth a visit, especially if the weather is nice.
Look again. "Fugging" and the "Bing Ling Ting Ling" restaurant. And the sign was bolted down tight years ago, it already was when I visited it. I wonder how SighSee or someone else managed to troll Google maps like that.
No, Fricking changed to Fugging in January 2021, you can read about it in the local (and some international press).
The Bing Ling Ting Ling restaurant seems like an obvious troll though, it's not on OpenStreetMap and there isn't much there besides the Fricking School (now Fugging School) and a couple of residential houses.
joke place name but the area is fugging gorgeous
That's considered gorgeous in Germany? Yikes and that's going in my cringe folder
Austria. And he is obviously trying to run with the Fricking joke.
The worst part is that Fugging is closer to the historical roots of the town name, but they SWEAR this is gonna stop people from stealing their sign.
Gotta spread the news to ylilauta and the rest of 4chinz.
The sign has been bolted down for years, when it was still called Fricking.
People still fricked around with it, annoying the local population.
Ylilauta should charter a bus from Helsinki and stay for a week, maybe they'll change the name back Fricking after that.
You seem to lack resolve, anon.
>I know Christmas markets will be happening
LMFAO. No they won't. The will be shut down again due to "COVID" but really it'll be to stop locals from having protests since the heat will be nonexistent and electricity prices will be 500% more than what they are now.
They didn't shut them down last year, they just fenced them off to keep the healthy out.
There is a 50/50 chance that they will do that again because they will need to distract from their terrible energy policies.
Do you know something we don't? Or are you just shitting out your daily dose of /misc/ doomporn you always overdose on?
He's just using the data from 2020 and 2021 along with current events and legislation to make an educated guess?
It's not unlikely that events like Christmas markets will be limited in Germany this winter and that the energy situation will be the cause of protests.
>educated guess
So hysterical doomporn fantasies.
That's what people propagate as "science" nowadays, after all there are no unvaccinated people left in Germany - they all have died until the end of this March according to the prediction of the Federal Health Minister Prof. Dr. Karl Lauterbach (currently infected and pounding Paxlovid despite two boosters this year) last autumn.
Hysterical /misc/turd doomporn fantasies are just that, fantasies for them to jerk off to. They have as much to do with science as incel blackpill "science".
When's the last time you were outside without a phone?
Your obsession with /misc/ isn't healthy, you need to take a break and touch grass.
i'd say being obsessed with either /misc/ /misc/ /misc/ or vaxx vaxx vaxx is pretty bad dudes
how about you frick off back to whatever subreddit you came from, and spare me the "no bro ackshually it's important to discuss this because (wall of cope to justify your monothematic brain)"
Exactly, let the vaxxies die off in peace, they will be gone soon enough an no amount of science will convince them or save them
Just take your hysterical antivax cultist fears elsewhere, we talk about travel here, not basement dwelling virgin NEET fantasies.
I'm on year 2 of vax still waiting for these blood clots to hit...
I'm on year 3 of the biggest pandemic and I am still waiting for people to collapse on the streets like we were promised.
I only see some soccer players collapsing during games but it's not the same
don't forget SADS.
SADs is a good thing because it only affects globohomosexual loving sheeple. Less people crowding the nice tourist areas
Seeing as they already fricking announced COVID restrictions from Oct-April in Germany, I'd say you should frick off
No they did not. Only the possibility and only at borders. Why do you keep repeating this lie over and over again? Because you want it to become true? Are you so bitter everyone else is traveling and enjoying life that your envy makes you want them to become as miserable as you?
>Why do you keep repeating this lie over and over again?
https://www.dw.com/de/mehr-masken-und-neue-corona-regeln-ab-oktober/a-62697813
Maybe because I can fricking read?
No you can't. That does not say what you did. But you know this of course, and only want to tell lies on the internet to try to make people as miserable as you are.
Samegayging won't make your lies come any more true. You obviously have nothing of value to contribute so go rage about diseased prostitutes elsewhere.
Keep the denial when you're lining up for the 5th shot to go anywhere inside this November.
>That does not say what you did.
Reminder that I said "
" and then linked an article stating just that. Masks indoors and on public transportation are COVID restrictions fricking moron. Or is your dumb idiotbrain defaulting to "sure masks are normal now, lmao". And that's only the start.
Better pack some warm clothes and some books to read, as there will be no place heated to above 19°C and electricity will be rationed.
This.
Apocalypse aside, any tips on enjoying Munich?
No one is dumb enough to go to munich
Eat at St Augustin biergarten if the weather is nice. Be sure to have apple pie as dessert.
I live in Munich and would be up for meeting, if you are still looking
Op here. I’m still looking! I saw in another thread that apparently there’s a bunch of anons in Munich.
Any suggestions how we can meet? I do not really feel comfortable exposing my contact informations on SighSee
Why don't we just meet in the English Garden? If you look like troony freaks I'll it keep walking and you'll never know which one was me.
Please have;
>normal color hair.
>normal clothes
>normal smell (no body oder)
also:
>bring beer or wine, I'll bring some too
>bring cheese or meat for a picknig (I'll bring some too)
Throwaway emails always work.
This is what I’ve seen anons do before.
Sounds like a decent plan. I am none of those things.
When I was in Switzerland I gained an appreciation for Schnupftabak. Are there any legal or cultural restrictions on where/ when it’s acceptable to partake in it? When I brought some back to Canada everyone thought I was using cocaine or heroin.
>Are there any legal or cultural restrictions on where/ when it’s acceptable to partake in it?
I doubt it, but then again I've never seen anyone do it outside of a village party.
Is it considered more of an old persons thing?
More of a lower layer of native society.
Old people may smoke pipes, Arabs/Turks are into shisha.
I just cannot into the idea of snuff? How does tobacco up the nose even work? It's non soluble. Are you blowing coffee grounds out of your nose for hours?
I like a little bit when I’m drinking. Helps clear the mind. The rest you just blow out your nose with a handkerchief.
Do they not have snuff in the US any more? They had it when I was growing up in the 1970s
Since you will be "working" for only 5-6 days, I’d recommend not doing a day trip especially to Salzburg. That is going to eat a lot of your time. If you have a day off just stick to Munich. There is plenty there.
I’ll probably arrive on a Saturday “to adjust to the time zone” so that leaves me with a whole Sunday. I can also stay a few days later I just have to pay for my own expenses aside from the flight.
If you have the time I would definitely extend your stay and explore the region.
I’ve spent a bunch of time in southern Switzerland, how different are the other parts of the region? I like the idea of Salzburg. Is Frankfurt any good?
Southern Switzerland is different from Northern Switzerland which in turn is different from Western Switzerland.
Switzerland is a bit far for a day trip though unless you spend a night at the shores of Lake Constance.
I haven't heard of Frankfurt being a tourist city, it's more of a business place but I may be misinformed.
Definitely go to Salzburg if you want, take an early train, spend the night and take a late train back and it will feel like you spent two full days there.
Frankfurt is shit, unless you're a mask cuck.
Frankfurt is pretty shitty overall, except a number of good restaurants, and great brothels. But you already mentioned that's not your thing. Close to Frankfurt is Heidelberg though, that's definitely worth a visit.
Me on the right
that German Aryan bawd is built for Russian wiener
will I meet trad blonde babes ready for marriage, if I visit during Oktoberfest?
