Somewhere in Thailand; cheap all inclusive resorts that are good value for money.

Try Las Tortugas or another nice place in Hua Hin.

Anywhere from $500 a night to $5k a night or more, depending on the season and the exclusivity of the island you choose to go to. There are a few private islands that go for around $20k a night if you’re that loaded.

It’s a special occasion kind of thing for people who don’t have a lot of money. If you do have a lot of money, it’s a once every year with the wife kind of thing

As someone who is doing this for ages you have two options
1 - pick a travel agency, find hotels which you can afford, check them on tripadvisor and choose the best one
2 - pick an area where you want to go, find hotels in the area which you can afford, check them on tripadvisor and choose the best one

you will be flooded with morons with "hue hue thats not real travelling kys" etc. etc. just don't listen to them. When I first went to an all inclusive holiday for our honeymoon it was like dream come true, drinking wine and wienertails, fricking, eating, fricking. Now we are going with my wife and two kids every year to have family fun and not caring about anything.

n1 tip before doing it, check reviews on the travel agency.
        >I'm especially concerned about the the food
        tripadvisor tripadvisor tripadvisor
Check every single hotel with tripadvisor. If the travel agency says its a 5 star with good service it can be actually a shit place with bad food.

Mexico, Thailand, Dominican Republic (focus on staying in Punta Cana), Turkey.

If Mexico or the Caribbean isn't too expensive flight-wise, and you can afford it, I recommend the Excellence chain. Excellence is the adult-only brand, Finest is the family one. I've stayed at their Playa Mujeres and Montego Bay locations, both are great but I prefer Playa Mujeres. I've been told by coworkers that have stayed at the Punta Cana DR location that it's top tier as well.

I went once and had a terrific time
I went to Occidental Punta Cana and something I enjoyed about it is they have the Mangu nightclub on-site (not free), which all the tourists from the other hotels go to at night to party

Oh and also if you go to an all-inclusive and like to drink a lot, by all means bring some change to tip the bar crew. They will love you and serve you instantly when you show up at th bar for another drink, and will make you very strong drinks if that is your request

This is less of a problem if you go to a resort that only caters to a specific language group.
If Dutch OP speaks German then he can go to a German-run resort and not meet any Russians at all.

It is the opposite actually. I am doing every summer an all inc holiday for 15 years now. When I was a college student I fricked many russian girls because they are tired from moronic everyday ivans.
When I was in turkey with my family it was horrible because of the russians. They always scream like idiots, they can't behave, they cut the que because they think they can do anything, they occupy all the sunbeds at 5:00 with their towels.
Once I went with my little kid and wife to the sea to have fun, when we returned our things were dropped in the sand and homosexual russians annexed the sunbed just like they did in ukraine.

Yeah my German is quite alright. Is there such a thing as a resort catered towards a specific nationality? And do they also exist in the caribbean?

              Anonymous

It's less catering to a certain nationality but more catering to speakers of a language.
There are resorts where the main language is German, both for customer service and entertainment. This obviously keeps anybody not speaking German away.
One of the middle-upscale resort chains catering to German speakers is Robinson, they have all kinds of resorts targeted at families, couples, singles, etc.
There are other resorts exclusively speaking French and Russian, probably other languages as well.
Club Med is the biggest French resort chain, and operates in the Caribbean as well.

Even for euros the best spot for these is Cancun unless you are trying to maybe squeeze some more real traveler type thing out of it.

Alternatively you could try and sell her on something like an Amazon lodge or even cruise. If you have a lot of money Fernando de Noronha rules the roost of beach getaways.

      >unless you are trying to maybe squeeze some more real traveler type thing out of it.

What if when you pull up to the check point of truckos with armed men and they say "not you not you...But theres dangerous men up the road there" They actually mean YOU. but fell sorry for you and realized you where a gay when you started crying like a little b***h instead of giving them $20? Because this is standard with Mexican Government officials stopping you and check points. You always offer a bribe. Its like tipping for burgers.

Your mileage may vary, but Ive been to the roughest spots in Mexico and the worst that ever happened was having all my lug nuts loosened and followed out of town by cartel. Perhaps they would have put me in a dog kennel. Perhaps they would have stopped and said oh..And helped me change the tire looking to have their palms greased. Theres the Mormon family that got ambushed and murdered but they lived there and that shit wouldnt fly with consequences. Like everytime something like that happens the US shoots a missile over there in retaliation like you slap your dog when he tries to bit you.

For Mexicans Nationals reading that not to say Mexico is US dog. But International Tourism reaction to Acapulco getting "dangerous" By stopping travel there did not help Acapulco or Mexico. It turned Acapulco into a low level Cartel playground and Mexicans decided Acapulco must be dangerous, so made it more dangerous. We all just need to nut up and go back to Acapulco and send a message to the Mexican Embassy that if anything bad happens to a tourist the US gov. will drone strike 10 low hanging cartel fruit like El Chapo type guys and 1 gov. official in retaliation. Until the message is clear that the last thing you want to do in mexico is frick with an international tourist. Eventually I feel Mexico then becomes international and a 1st world nation in the global community. Because we have shooting here in the US but its organized in a way. If you hear gun shots in your neighborhood, theyre generally not shooting at you because theres no reason why. Theyre beefing with other Mexicans or settling a drug debt with junkies or something.

The reason I say Acapulco is low level cartel not high level. Is The higher up cartel areas are the safest place to be because the big fricking boss is holding it down. He doesnt want no shit in his neighborhood where he eats croissant and sip espressos. Thats where his kids go to school. And its not even his cartel holding it down its literally truck loads of Federales and hes a legit businessman..yeah my ass.

Best value greatly depends where you're flying from
Cuba is best value imo, but keep in mind the food is more basic than other places
Punta Cana DR is pretty decent as well, a bit more expensive but better food and accomodations

Also, price greatly vary depending on the time of the year. May and September-Octobe are the cheapest months

Thanks man, any specific resort recommendations, I'm indeed planning to go somewhere in octobre

        Anonymous

        For Cuba and Punta Cana?
I can't really recommend anything in Cuba because I used to go to the same hotel every year but it's been a while and it closed
As for Punta Cana I've only been to Occidental Punta Cana which I enjoyed.
The general rule though is that the higher the price, the better the food, room and service

You may read reviews if you want but keep in mind that reviews for most all-inclusives resorts are either very good or very bad. And the very bad reviews come from Europe travellers that pay more than North-American travellers, and somehow expects resorts to serve like $100 bottles of wine and caviar. Or people that review bomb because of mundane shit such as "there was a stain on the bed sheet" or they saw an insect in their room.

By the way since you're gonna travel in low season, I would recommend you to book your trip 3 to 5-7 days before leaving. That's how you get the best prices. If you want to find out for yourself, I would recommend you to pick your country/hotel, and then watch the prices in September, to see how many days offers the best deal.
I remember I once went to Varadero Cuba in late September and paid a ridiculous $900 CAD tax included for 2 weeks

          Anonymous

Thanks man, I will keep that in mind. So what your are saying is that the closer you book to the date you want to leave the cheaper it gets? Now prices are still rising for trips one month from now.

            Anonymous

I am the guy who said is going for years. I dont know how is it in the us, in the eu its the opposite. If you book first moment its 60% cheaper than before the date.

If money is your aim, then Turkey has some great ones which are extremely cheap at the minute due to the lira collapsing. I can recommend the Marmaris Bay Resort on the southern coast which I went to fairly recently for a quick break. Actual Marmaris is pretty shite, but if you just want a week or two drinking all-inclusive alcohol, swimming, tanning etc. then I highly rate it.

I just checked and it costs 1600 euros for a week, for a couple, in OCTOBER.

turkey is much cheaper than greece, a few years ago for 500 euro a person I did all inclusive holiday in turkey for 7 nights, flight from Romania and airport transfer included

      I love both countries

the guy seething about russians/ukrainians just had some bad luck I was in turkey in Kemer surrounded by russians, and they had an old monastery in the antalya area that was patroned by an ex tsar so it was full of russians visiting, the hotel staff would rather speak russian than english

Russian women are fricking gorgeous, everyone blonde, still remember one girl that had 11/10 body

I didnt talk to the russians but my hotel was full of them and the beach was full of them, nothing special happened they are just on holiday with their families enjoying the food and the free ice cream on the beach
