I own an apartment in Zlatibor. If you own a property they give you residency fairly easily, but it's still a lot of red-tape. If not, you get 3 months. But my impression is that they don't care too much, but you never know what will happen when it comes time to leave. Probably nothing.

Why are you immigrating to fricking Serbia exactly with Croatia and Hungary being just on the other side of the border with much more to do, much more to see, less migrants, inside the Schengen zone, etc.? Give me one good reason.

Have you ever visited Serbia? I sure hope you plan to work remotely. It's a corrupted, polluted shithole. You can barely avoid the pollution in winter even by going to the country side. The traffic is an absolute mess, people drive like monkeys. People ARE monkeys. Your average serb is addicted to betting and drinking stuck in a dead-end job and hates his life. The women all have daddy issues, even if they're hot.
People are nice for the most part, food is nice, nature is nice, it's cheap. The rest is ass. Go visit and stay for a few months before taking the jump dumbass.
