What can you actually do there?
I've been to the musandam exclave of oman as part of a day trip from oman. Its very sparsely populated. the locals seem very pleasant. The landscape was very beautiful. I definitely recommend going here if you are staying in nearby dubai.
It's not safe unless you are brown and can blend in. White looking? You will be extorted.
