Overstayed

I'm returning to europe for a week after being banned for two years due to overstaying, but I'm pretty worried customs in Germany aren't even going to let me in now cos I'm blacklisted. Any anons with similar experiences?

if you served your full two years and prove that you will returning after one week; then it should be fine
granted if the immigration agent is having a pissy day; they may just decide to deport you anyways

Seriously hate this shit. Why do these gays have so much power? Just apply the law/regulations equally.

If you were banned for 2 years and waited 2 years to return, you should be fine. I would expect though they are going to be half way up your ass making sure you intend to return within the times specified, most likely requiring proof of continued travel+funds+hotel bookings.

Just expect more than the normal business or pleasure applications.

OP here. And yeah this seems to be the most plausible, doesn't it.
I'm planning on renting an onward ticket since I don't have a return flight booked and I'm going to a festival in Budapest, so I'm actually gonna be camping the whole time. Which means I technically don't have accomodation booked.

Enjoy getting banned again if you are caught lying about your intended stay. Holy frick.

        >hey guys I was provided all the documentation regarding an issue
        >can you guys tell me what I want to hear rather than what will happen?

There is a ton of useful advice on travel but most people visiting here or posting first time just want to be told that their day dreamy stereotypical holiday will be amazing, not that they are literally moronic.

how long did you guys overstay for?

i'm a leaf in budapest, and my 90 days is up next week. i'm still waiting for my white card (1 year, have remote job) visa and am concerned i'm going to end up overstaying if the visa isn't approved in time

office didn't give me a clear answer when i asked if i can stay throughout the application process

Why don't you just go to a non schengen country for a bit?

Yeah, just not ideal. Have a nice apt, gf, and am settled into full time remote work routine. Would have to leave for 90 days. Am looking for alternatives to the west to invest (life not money) into. Prefer not to digital nomad it too aggressively. Of course, I'm at fault for getting settled pre-visa. However on the flip side you can't apply for this visa if you aren't settled with at least a full lease.

2 years ban would indicate overstaying for a while.
You can get a one year ban from just overstaying a week. Best to avoid it

Thanks. I at least have an official doc now saying I can stay til the 21st. It's probably in a sticky somewhere but if someone could remind me which country/ies are the most lenient with late exiters I would appreciate it a lot.

Ah, may have misunderstood your advice. Yeah, I could leave indefinitely (at worst 90 days) until the visa comes through

Fly into Prague and just drive into Germany on some small back road. There are tons of towns with unmonitored border crossings.

The irony is that I was issued a €40 fine in Prague for my overstaying which I still haven't paid. I'm wondering if German customs will be notified of this and give me shit since they're all part of Schengen

This board is one of the most useful and helpful ones. Just don't expect to get replies when you are asking about criminal activity.

Got banned for a year after overstaying as well and customs at schipol didn't really ask me too much other than a return flight.
    YMMV

Take your hotel reservation with you, make sure you've a week of clothes, make sure you've enough money to last a week. Triple check that you've got any visas you need.

There's a good chance they may interview you but if you give pretty clear evidence you're on holiday, you should be fine.

This is what I'd do if I were you, you moron

Make sure you have all of these printed
      >return flight ticket
      >accommodation
      >proof of funds
      >travel insurance
      >your festival ticket
Put them all in a folder, look presentable /not a homeless sperg and you should be fine.

      Where are you from anyway?

Thanks for the helpful comments. Will see how this goes
