Where is a good place to retire in the Philippines? I'm white, I'll be in my very late 30s, no sex tourism, legitimately retire and chill for decades

Can I get a redpill on the Philippines too?

Why the frick would you retire to the Philippines of all places if you’re in your 30’s. It’s a third world shithole with horrible infrastructure and bureaucracy. The whole only redeeming values are its beaches, and old fricks like me can swap out young pinays whenever we feel like it.

Which infrastrucutre pieces are you talking about? Like what actual human need isn't being met in the Philippines, if you have money?

I'll agree it's, on average, bad infra, but let's have a discussion.

I bet for many people, the parts of the infra that are bad-and locations that they are bad in-will mostly not matter

      >potable water
Just buy bottled, maybe even 5 gallons+ at a time
      >roads
live in a walkable neighborhood; you'll be retired and not commuting. They're making better roads these days though.
      >power grid
Only seems to go out in 5th class cities. It used to go out for like 4+ hours at a time. now it's 1-5 minutes.
      >internet
I'm in a 3rd class Leyte province and just speedtested 25.4MBPS down, 18.4 MBPS up. That's just with what the owners of the home provided. Pocket wifi or tier 1 cities will be even better.

I'm able to fully remote a US software job from here

That's just some stuff off the top of my head. Let's get the discussion going

100% agreed. I have no problem with any of it. I’m a westerner and been living here for 3+ months. Sometimes the net goes down for a few minutes and that’s it. I can work remotely too. Of course if you live on some fricking remote island where there are typhoons and eruptions every month it might be a different story but in the capital it’s been great so far.

I like to make music and play video games, photogrpahy... Idk a lot of stuff that involves a lot of time in front of equipment and a computer. So the idea of being able to easily secure a place to live (and is encouraged through SRRV) sounds appealing

That's pathetic if that is your aspiration with no projects on the side.

If ur gonna throw some shade, like using cheap pinay labour to built a lighthouse for your pleasure, then we have a winner here.

You're not gonna have a good answer until you see the place for yourself. Maybe ask where a good beginner place is to stay for a few months while you set up vital amenities needed for house purchase.

I just want a comfy life. I have no interest in exploiting anyone. You can't buy a house unless you marry a citizen, and even then, it's purchased in their name. I would have enough money to rent for decades and live comfortably without concern

there is literally no other reason that white homosexuals zero in on SEA countries other than to lord over the local populous and feel like a "big man" when you take your pinay prostitute out on a date to jollybees and buy more food than she can afford in a month in one day.

in between 3 month stints in thailand. I went to Angeles, Manila, and Subic Bay. Angeles is like a condensed pattaya walking street but it gets old after a week. In manila, only P Burgos street is worth going to, another walking street esque deal, and Subic Bay was also just one street with some bars and expat burnouts. Lots of americans though which was refreshing from the anglo scum in pattaya and they had cool stories (such as a retired LAPD swat guy).

The food is pathetic, greasy slop, most girls look like the purple mcdonalds chicken nugget guy, and its got this 3rd world garbage veneer to it. Guards with shotguns (with a cloth draped over it) at the western unions, none of the escalators in the mall i went to worked, and the servileness of the people is pitiful.

All in all, a short trip is fine. Anyone who lives there long term is a bottom-feeding POS tho. Thailand should be the absolute bottom line for quality of life. PH is like beneath the ground garbage

Leave the sexpat enclaves for a week and try something like Sal's Restaurant in Tacloban City. You can get really well prepared food in the philippines. I'll agree that it isn't anywhere near common though. e.g. Thai food is better and more commonly of a higher quality.

Filipinos like way too much sugar in drinks too.

Plenty of girls look great, even if the chicken nugget guy meme body is real. Based on the towns you like to hang out in, I can assume what kind of body *you* bring to the table

Get a load of this guy. Holy shit are you the epitome of sexpat. I went to PH and took boats to the islands and remote spots and it's some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.

The actual real Filipino friends I met who weren't cretinous sex workers are some of the best friends I have. Hanging around walking streets doesn't define PH and nor do the shanty towns and garbage littered shitholes that indeed do exist, I'll give you that, but there is way more to the country and you're not giving PH enough credit.

You probably hunkered down here thinking the exact thing you are seething about and ended up not scoring well so now you're here pissed off about it because you wasted your money. If you know where to go, and have the right people around you, PH is overwhelmingly beautiful. Yeah it's a shame about the garbage and the dogs and cats and fecal matter all over the place and trannies, but if you actually tour the country there are incredible spots (remote).

Of the people who visit, this 'sexpat epitome' experience will be the one they experience.

Why?? Because they start in Manila. It's hard to get around without a car. Driving a car here is insane (tricycles, jeepneys and scooters). So most people will see at most: NCR, Tagatay, Angeles, Subic, Cebu.....

Getting out and touring the islands by yourself is exceptionally rare. Doing it with a girl who is competent and that you trust is what's needed, but again.....pretty damn rare.

Just got back from here anon. Nagsasa cove. About an hour's boat ride to it. Unbelievable.

I have ticked most of the boxes you have mentioned there. Started in Manila, was culture shocked and overwhelmed by the traffic and shit, ended up on Tinder and met a girl from outside the city who came to meet me.

Long story short I'm dating her now and her and her friends go out once a month to the islands and remote spots. It's the real PH experience. The walking streets, clubs and sex workers get old pronto. I wouldn't pay for sex anyway and was initially here for work; Just decided to use all my vacation time this year on this trip because it's been so amazing.

We always go in a group because I'd have zero clue how to set any of it up. We slept on that beach in pic related in tents and drank all night, went hiking, and shot off fireworks.

I get laid easy back in Australia but I still come to SEA all the time just to travel around, check shit out and go on adventures. in fact, parts of the Phillipines, Thailand and Vietnam (the only SEA countries I've been to) are far more interesting and beautiful than anything Aus has to offer. and I find the people here in Manila far kinder and down to earth than the well off, stuck up superficial nonces that comprise the general Australian / American populations. it's all too clear to me that the racist attitude toward these places and their people on this board is held by disgusting old creeps who have nothing going on for them mentally or physically and so have to take cowardly refuge in delusions of ethnic superiority. pathetic lmao. meanwhile I'm chadding around as a fit, wealthy, good looking 30 year old, treating everyone, including the women, with the respect they deserve. imagine being anything other than a good, kind person.

Yeah, I bought into the "unspoiled beaches" meme for Thailand once. Went there, the whole unspoiled nature preserve area was being illegally logged and the waters by the unspoiled beaches had sewage floating in them from the resorts that dumped their guests' shit and toilet paper directly into the water right by the bungalows.

My first night there, in a beach bungalow, I spent the entire fricking night awake and battling a rat, trying to keep it away from my stuff. I moved to a different place the next night, concrete boxes without the meme unspoiled nature bullshit, and spent the next four days listening to rats fighting it out on top of the roof.

When it comes down to it, this is a similar thing... a cheeseburger is a cheeseburger; being able to retire at 50 and live comfortably after having been a generic office-drone while the rest of the city has to do back-breaking manual labor is just lording over the locals quietly.
I've always been middle-class or poor and it'd be nice to move someplace where my money goes further, but it's awkward cuz even in white American culture people think that that's all those countries have to offer.

Extremely based. For me, the Philippines is such a dump of a country that I lose respect for any man (especially white men) over here the moment I find out they've married or are dating a Filipina even if said Filipina was not born in the Philippines. It gives off this vibe of living it on easy mode nevermind the geriatric types that get with 20 year olds that barely speak a word of English lmao. When I think of the Philippines, I think of a cheap white, basically. That's what the country stands out to me as.

There's also a disproportionate amount of mtf transexuals coming from that country. I don't know what's in the fricking water over there.

I'm the anon chilling in the Tacloban area right now. I'm also bullish philippines for a relatively simple lifestyle and know there is wayyyyy more on offer here than red horse and creampies.

My current priorities are to evaluate a few mid-large towns (tacloban, iloilo, cebu, maybe even urdaneta) for living for 3+ years; likely a lot longer than that, but 1 year would definitely be too short.

Part of that is finding the right ride or die girl, although I'm open to finding the girl after I pick my initial spot.

Did you meet a girl that lived/had family in Bantayan or did she move with you?

I feel like either is quite possible, but one might be more ideal. Is your girl from a poor, middle class, or upper middle+ background?

How much did the 60,000m2 cost? Is it just land right now?

How much did the homestead + guesthouse (on bantayan?) cost to get running?

I'm mainly interested if ~700k net worth at age 30 is enough to get started. I can continue making more money as a software engineer online, but that's where I'm at. It feels like enough to get started, if I meet and vet the right girl

Red horse is poison so I respect you already.

I have heard IloIlo is nice, also have heard good things about Dumaguete.

Met my wife on Bantayan when I was there building homes there after the Typhoon. I didn't date or mess around when working there, her family wasn't rich but they were well respected and thats more important. Remember a big family comes with the girl so you better like them and be prepared to be part of their life too. If I were you I would settle down in a nice town, don't mess around there, let the families around you come to respect you and then good quality matches with girls you can trust for a lifetime will come your way. In the mean time if you need to have fun take a long weekend in Cebu or Manila.

On Coron it was dirt cheep, but the owner didnt know I was involved. He wanted to stop farming and buy a fishing boat. The land is undeveloped up in the high hills, has freshwater streams and rapids, fruit trees, and ocean views. My sister in law bought it in her name and we are going this winter to finalize the papers with her - she is getting 20,000m2 in the deal. 80,000m2 total was 5,000 USD.

My sister in law's husband's family is neighbors, so that was our in for the deal, the farmer didn't want to work the land anymore, he wanted a fishing boat and wanted it quickly and I'm sure if he knew I was the money behind it there would have been a foreigner tax.

          >How much did the homestead + guesthouse (on bantayan?) cost to get running?

Land is MUCH more expensive on Bantayan, especially in the Santa Fe area - about 100,000 peso per 100 square meters is the asking.

My wife had 100 m2 out near the cliffs and paradise beach, we bought another 500m2 at 30,000 peso per 100m2 back before the price boomed.

I'm lucky my wife's uncle is a quality carpenter and contractor who I trust on our projects. If you dont know what you are doing or who you are dealing with expect to go at least 25% over budget and plenty of headaches on projects.

            >I have heard IloIlo is nice, also have heard good things about Dumaguete.
iloilo was pleasant when I visited as a college kid in 2014; I'll look forward to seeing what it looks like these days. I also hit up bacolod at the time and it's worth a look too.

Dumaguete I haven't checked out, but it has a bit of a boomer coomer reputation ya?

I'm thinking I'll head to cebu on saturday for 1-2 weeks, followed by iloilo. There's also a very sweet physical education, arts, and culture teacher that wants to meet me; she's from Urdaneta up in Luzon.

            >How much did the 60,000m2 cost? Is it just land right now?

On Coron it was dirt cheep, but the owner didnt know I was involved. He wanted to stop farming and buy a fishing boat. The land is undeveloped up in the high hills, has freshwater streams and rapids, fruit trees, and ocean views. My sister in law bought it in her name and we are going this winter to finalize the papers with her - she is getting 20,000m2 in the deal. 80,000m2 total was 5,000 USD.

            >80,000m2 total was 5,000 USD.
            Now that is what's up.

I'll try to come up to Bantayan. Nothing beats seeing a lifestyle for myself. I'll look for ya in phils/north korea threads.

Yeah, thats right, 3,000 USD for the additional 500m2 for property about a 2 min walk down to the ocean, its all a garden paradise now.

But now the asking would be about 10,000 USD for 500m2 for an undeveloped plot in Santa Fe close around the tourist area.

You can live comfortably in an apartment in Manila in a nice part of town with security for $1000-$1200 a month while living like a king. If your job is online, I’d say try it out for a few months and see if you like it. Its third-world, but people live very modern here. Its not like the rest of SEA which is still in their china-slaves goat-fricker phases.

Bro, are you a writer that just took two white boys to Culion recently? I think I may have met you

Most of the work is in Manila at the call centers and shit if you're fluent English you can live in luxury hotels the entire time and do absolutely fine. I rented a place here and a part of the rental agreement was the maintenance and I got fricked over pretty bad because after I viewed it, agreed to sign, the fricker started falling apart when it rained and this was a pretty nice area.

I definitely have to second that motion that you should try living here first because if you can't handle it and you get stuck here, you'll end up at the embassy basically fricked. If your country doesn't give a frick, you'll be stuck there in remand for like two weeks. I've heard the horror stories.

It's pretty ironic how the developed world is deteriorating while SEA is actually doing pretty well. There are even twenty-somethings moving here to work, male and female.

The hardest thing for me to do was adapt to the heat. My work visa was like $200 and I have a side job that isn't on record where I make like 10x more than my regular job. I got the work visa by officially marrying a Filipina who already makes a ton and I do not ask, and do not tell. We get on better that way, but I'm pretty sure she works for some Korean guy managing his shady shit here. I've been to a couple of her businesses that she operates and they're pretty shady stuff. I won't talk about it but you can hazard a guess at what it is.

Manila is a such a grimely shit hole. Cops with shot guns, security guards with shot guns. Homeless street kids. Food is slop, either too oily, sweet or salty. The women look like globins, and suprisingly, you don't see much pinays in Manila. All the capable pinays migrated outside of the shithole and work as nurse and domestic helpers, that's why you see a low female count in Manila. Shit infrastructure they can't even afford scooters like in Vietnam

Name a city that doesn't have these in phils. I prefer them to the homeless drugged out adults of the USA. Both are better than nigs

      >Food is slop, either too oily, sweet or salty
For the most part, ya. You've either gotta cook or go to a nice restaurant. I recommend the thai restaurant in One Bonifacio

      >All the capable pinays migrated outside of the shithole and work as nurse and domestic helpers
Many, but not all. I knew a friend circle of nurses. At least one stayed; they're more likely to stay if their family is already well off. Basically everyone I discuss USA vs philippines with (most wonder why I want to come live here in phils) will admit they'd never leave if their money was sorted out. USA is to make money, but phils is for living

      >Shit infrastructure they can't even afford scooters like in Vietnam
      muh infrastructure again?
I tried to start a discussion on this earlier in the thread.

Good point on the scooters though. I like that chicks all ride in Vietnam and everyone seems to own their own bike instead of poorgayging around everywhere

Try an extended visit first before you commit. There are many aspects of life in Philippines that can and will drive you nuts if you are coming from a society where things run smoothly and according to plan most of the time.

1 or 2 months is usually long enough for the honeymoon period to be over.

  16. 2 years ago

That goes for the women too. If you wind up with a pinay long term you basically adopt her family too, or she will become unhappy due to being harassed by them to extract resources out of you on their behalf.

The place has a way of slowly grinding your sanity down and wearing away pleasant aspects of your personality until everything gets on your nerves since nothing ever makes sense or goes by routine. Its just an endless tragedy.

have you ever been to Cagayan de Oro? Is Mindanao really that dangerous? I've heard that south is dangerous but Cagayan and Davao are safe.
I could go from Cebu to Cagayan by ferry, planes are damn expensive (more than 100$)

      Anonymous

Mindanao is the hotbed for pedophiles. Cebu is great. Cagayan de Oro is basically all pedos. It's "safe" but Davao is way better because all the locals in Cagayan think you're a sex predator especially if you're alone it's a little less safe.

It pretty much depends on you. Being unassuming will keep you safe but you never know what will happen. It's a crapshoot. There are way better areas that aren't expensive in the Philippines. Davao is good actually we went there for about 5 days and it's the usual shit you'll see when you come here.

South of Mindanao is a no go and you will more than likely end up in the shit there. It's not even nice. We only travelled through it and everywhere you go there's people literally dying on the street and begging, offering you their children for sex, it's hell. You have to watch your footing everywhere you go unless you like stepping in cat and dog shit (even pig shit in one area there were hogs running around).

You could do alright there if you avoided the common areas because this is a really beautiful country despite the poverty. The sad part is seeing all the litter along the main roads and the trash on fire.

The worst thing I saw was this black dude holding hands with what was clearly like a 9-12 year old girl. I haven't been too close with God but in that moment I wanted to go up and stab that bastard. It's fun here, but put your fricking brakes on with shit like that because it's super common in places like Cagayan and even worse in South Mindanao.

hey thank you for the reply, didn't know CDO was a cvnny spot, not into that shit. I'd like to go to Siargao and I thought it would be a nice spot to find an holiday gf and bring her to Siargao.
Have you ever been to Siargao by the way? I read that it's a surfing spot and I'd like to try that, also beaches seem so cool there.

          Anonymous

From what my Flip friends and my gf told me yeah that's the biggest spot for kiddie diddlers to go for some reason. Not really sure why, guess they convene there because it's easy to do their nasty evil shit there. Like I said before, the south part is far worse. Cagayan and Davao are really nice in comparison.

Never been to Siargao but it looks gorgeous. Sounds like a good plan honestly anon. Have you been here before? That'd be a good start. Just stay the frick out of Manila it's so boring. I just asked my girlfriend and she said a lot of Strayans go there because the surfing is awesome, but if you ferry over and a storm hits, expect to be stuck there for a while. Not a bad place to get stuck honestly the only real big problem is having fresh water (pretty common anywhere here, really, but if you're going to an island spot like that it's a definite possibility you'll run out of water you can actually handle). I got sick my what, third day here from drinking the local water they bring in those blue containers.

Siargao is a spot I'd love to go to as well and probably will. I am living and working here now and we go on trips about once a month, Last place we went was Santiago Island but it's a pretty remote spot. I'd recommend more like you're saying in Siargao because it's a bigger tourist area. The longer you stay here though you start to see some of the real parts of the country and some shit will freak you the frick out like doing your absolute best not to catch Dengue. I am pretty certain I had it and I was literally going to dehydrate to death.

My girlfriend is a nurse and went and got me a saline bag and had all the IV equipment and literally did it right in our living room. I'm immune now but be fricking careful with the water man. I should have never drank the local water. Buy the bottles in bulk unless you want to get immune to it and shit blood for two days.

comfy life you are living anon.
Never been to PH, my plan would be 5/7 days in Manila (stay in fancy hotel to cure the jet lag), one week in Bantayan (my original pick was Borocay but it's pretty expensive and since I'm a bit of a bougie frick when it comes to hotels I want to stay in some nice place and in Bantayan with 100$/night you'll find pretty good places), and one week in Siargao.
my plan would be 21 days of holiday in november with a 4k budget, living the good life with holiday gf(s).

              Anonymous

That's a really good point. That jet lag and the heat fricked me dead when I first got there. You really don't have to spend that much here shit is pretty cheap but if you're going to stay in Manila make sure you don't end up booking a slum because the pictures are fake and you will end up in a complete shit part of the city (most of it is shit honestly beyond Makati).

Bantayan is a good choice It's just a lot of fricking travelling and you have to be pretty patient. Have not been to Brocay, but can confirm Bantayan is a pretty safe and really beautiful spot. You're really wanting me to hit up Siargao because it looks awesome. I asked my girlfriend and she's never been as well.

21 days I think is the max for a visa then you'll have to go fork out ~7,000 peso for a visa renewal (2 months, they put mine up to my birth date for some reason). After that I was going to renew for 1 year but I ended up getting this girl pregnant and we got a marriage certificate then I did all the citizenship paperwork. My home country is so fricking bad and all I did for 10 years was work 12+ hour shifts, never had vacations because I had to work, and the amount of assets I accumulated have made it so I can do the same work here and it's way less stressful.

Not sure where you're at bro but you can get a really decent job here if you know what to do and where to go. My girlfriend hooked me up with a pretty decent job and it's enough that we can party every weekend and travel wherever we please. Only exception is she refuses to travel to my home country after I told her how fricking cold it is where I live. Summer in my country is basically the coldest it ever gets here.

4k will do you more than fine for 21 days if you don't gamble. You'll get the whole experience here easily on that in less than a month. Did you meet any Filipinas online yet? They'll meet you at the airport if that freaks you out. They put that right in their bios on dating sites.

                Anonymous

yeah anon I'd stay in Makati, I'd definitely ask for a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I could find cheaper accomodations in Manila but again I want to relax the first days and since I'm not an experienced travelers I don't want to book shady airbnbs in order to save a thousand pesos.
as for girls I have a plan, I don't really think it would be difficult to find holiday gfs, I don't think I'll use dating apps because you have to look in places nobody looks in order to find quality girls.
As for Siargao I'm glad I gave you the idea, who knows maybe we'll meet there. Thank you again for the tips anon, if I'll have some question I'll bump the thread.

When you first walk out of Manila airport you're going to see like 50-100 Filipinos standing on the road waiting for their families. Probably the first shock I got when I landed there, but the airport staff will hail you a cab and you don't even have to ask.

Some spots I can recommend for you are City Garden Grand Hotel (don't book the City Garden Hotel because it's a different spot and they are within 30 seconds walk of eachother) in Makati. That was a really nice stay. I stayed at Seda Residences as well which was a bit pricey but nice nonetheless. I stayed at Manila Hotel right next to Rizal Park but all the political shit going on made it unsafe to walk around and the military guys would follow me out and stand right next to me when I had a smoke purely because they didn't want me to end up a political prisoner (I was there for work at the time because of the bullshit going on in Ukraine fricked our exports up).

If you're not an experienced traveller, you're definitely on the right track of what you should do when you first get there to ease in to it. Some hotels have toilets that don't work, if you leave food out for even 15 minutes there's about a thousand ants all over it, A/C doesn't work, etc. The nicer hotels (talking the 4-5 stars) you won't have that issue and if there is an issue the staff is there like clockwork to fix it.

When you downgrade a bit, expect to deal with shit like I mentioned above. You do get used to it however. The worst thing was when I caught that mosquito virus and thought I was literally going to die.

Don't go with airbnbs here. Start with the lux hotels and then work your way down to the budgeted stuff after a couple of weeks. The worst fricking thing is the heat and I spent my first 3 days just screwing this girl I met online and standing in the aircon.

Nah it's easy to find girls here man just go to the rooftop bars or any bar really and the girls will approach you.

Seda is exactly where I want to stay: pool, rooftop bar, close to the hospital and little Tokyo plus it's "residences" so maybe is more informal than a hotel. The peninsula is also an option but it's not my cup of tea, too snobby and luxurious.
I hope C-19 rules in November would be like they are today or even better without vax or tests.

You'll do fine. I'm under 30 and that's super young here. The thing is, since you have a good job/money, your age won't really matter. The women here go for older men because they are attracted to the status and wealth.

Like I said, just come here for a vacay and see what happens. Set your location to the area in Philippines you're interested in and see if you can meet a girl there. Girls will always ask what country you're from, and you can be pretty straightforward in the conversations.

Some of the girls you'll meet online are duuuuuuumb though. It's half because their English skills are low, but I've met some fluent women on Tinder/FilipinoCupid. Once you tell them where you are, what job you have, eye color, how tall, they'll want to meet you on the spot. Some girls just want to "chat" on there as well. I digress. Just try it bro and if you end up with questions I'll watch the thread.

The stress of my business job at home along with the monotony literally gave me IBS and a growth in my lungs. Luckily I can get the medication I need here for pretty cheap, and the growth in my lungs was lasered out before I came.

Sometimes I get sick from the food/water but it's never extreme like it was when I was tearing my hair out trying to stay underbudget while clients are screaming at you to hurry up. I had a real estate agent literally barge in to our office during tax time this year and scream in my face and call me a fricking moron because I was swamped with shit and couldn't meet the demand.

There's a huge shortage for people with my skillset and type of education so that puts a ton of pressure on you. I think of it now, my boss was way out of shape, always late for work, hated meetings and collaborating and would sit in the office with the door closed. He never shaved or got haircuts. I asked myself "do I want to turn in to that?"

Yeah if you're going to grab the literal first fricking thing that comes your way you'll end up with a literal goblin that had kids at 14-16. Tinder is better by far and I literally pulled that picture from Google so who fricking knows what area it is. You'll frick way hotter girls in Manila and the selection is vast.

You have great taste mein neger. Keep your eye on that age number though because some of those pictures might be a good 5 years old. It's always better to try with girls who don't edit their pictures because you know what you're getting. You can always ask for a new picture on Whatsapp when you get one's number.

For me, it's definitely Sheng, Rocel, and Reen. Jebeth is cute but a little dark but I met she has a rocking little body and that smile is nice (plus non edited picture and dressed well; She's probably like 90 pounds and barely pushing 5 feet.).

I have had yellow fever ever since fricking a Korean girl with a fat ass back home. What is not to love? Everyone here that hates on us for having that fetish is likely a non-rich/endowed asian dude.

Because they are afraid of being pursued for what they are, not who they are. We might be ok with a asian woman dating us cus we're white, but some women are too insecure for that.

I can related with many of these sentiments. It's a bit pseudo scientific, I agree, but I think my Crohn's disease was cause by stress from my job in tech. I was too young to not care about shit. I quit my job and had almost a year to chill and be at peace.

It's fine in the cities. There are clinics you can get your IV and shit. My girlfriend is a nurse and we just do it at home because she has all the equipment at home and can get the medication.

At first I was shitting razor blades from the water/food, but my guts are pretty fine with the street food and I am used to eating Korean food back home because my ex-wife was from Seoul and I ate spicy shit daily. Haven't had any problems shitting and no symptoms of UC.

I'm always looking for new ways to meet quality good girls. Really trying to date one whose family has a house with a shower right now and I'm finding that's relatively uncommon

Met her online back when I was still being a mongrel and fricking everything. She was easily the best looking and had a job and shit. Isn't completely silent around me and knows how to get literally anything we want.

It is. I kind of lucked out. There's a shower and toilet here but the toilet doesnt work properly so you have to manually fill it. It's uncommon but not impossible.

              >Not sure where you're at bro but you can get a really decent job here if you know what to do and where to go. My girlfriend hooked me up with a pretty decent job and it's enough that we can party every weekend and travel wherever we please.
I'm highly interested in where you met this gal, what kind of job you

I'm tired of software engineering in the US and am ready to make the leap.

I just need a good gf and the ability to get some sort of job eventually (I've got a lot of $ but not wanting to full on retire yet; I'm young)

The stress of the 1st world rat race CAN indeed kill you; it aged me.

Online I met her and she travelled to Manila to hook up. I was dating a couple other non-bar girls at the time as well and one time she showed up after I had just hooked up with the other girl who was still naked in my bed.

I worked for a bank and side hustle in "exports" which I will not go in to sorry. Once I nail down citizenship I might go work at the casinos in the back offices because it pays pretty damn well.

If you have a degree in software engineering you could get a vast number of decent work here. Look in to it on the immigration visa sites. The most common job for foreigners here as far as I know is call center trainers, teachers (doesn't pay very well), finance and exporting. I'm sure there's software engineering work here.

I got tired of my profession as well but have a degree in a non-meme designation so it was pretty easy to come here. I wasn't even planning to stay but just don't want to leave so said frick it bought a couple monitors and a tower and worked from the hotel.

Working remotely is possible here but I'd recommend staying in the larger cities because the brownouts and shit will frick you up and you'll fall behind especially if you have strict time budgets.

With that job and status, you'll score a decent woman here for sure as long as you have at least mild dating skills. Even that's a stretch to say lol. Why not try it if you have a lot of money, see if you like it, then apply for a work visa or if you're fortunate enough to meet a Flipina you like, getting married to her will be a huge step to getting here permanently or for a long-term

Ya it's me. I came from Tacloban the other day (I'm one of the leyte anons too). I'm at horizons 101 right now

She carries herself like she's educated, dresses the part, took a taxi to meet me and back, split ayala center food bill with me, etc. I'm not in a rush, so I'll confirm this stuff, but it was a solid initial meet. Her ability to engnage in financial, tech, and cebu life conversation was mid to high IQ.

She was apparently "next in line" for this gov't gig and turned down a job at BPI to do gov't + this other private sector thing

As for this, I despise SWE now. Coding sucks. I especially would not do it for a local wage. I'd rather teach english lol

I've been looking to network my way into banking, some cush management/consulting thing, start a biz, or just sit and chill on my passive income. I'm also exploring product management, which is a tech role for people that can talk to other humans.

I know you won't go into the exporting details, but I hear so many people mention "exporting" that I should do some research. The word alone is straightward, but 'getting into it' not so much.

My degree is from a top 10 US university, so I figure with the right place and time I can land something at a place looking for someone generally analytical and sharp.

I'm also under 30 and on Filipino cupid btw. dumb girls are abundant, as you mention, but definitely some gems!

Nice go for it anon. I will say that with the exporting thing there are limits on what you're allowed to import to PH without certifications that are really hard to get, but you can grease some palms and bring in way more than you're allowed to and turn it for profit. If you get stuck at customs with it and can't "convince" the inspection officers, you either have to go back to the import country or take a loss.

For example, if you bring in phones, laptops, you're limited to 2 phones and 1 laptop. If you bring in too much apparel/clothing, a good trick I learned from another exporter is to break the seal on the boxes and then say it's "donations".

My hustle is more industrial stuff and got in to it by socializing with people in high-end spots.

Have you looked at the website for work visa opportunities? Make sure your resume is tip top (it will be by the sound of your experience/education).

FilipinoCupid yeah you have to sift through a lot of desperate single moms, trans (I guess it's fine if you're in to that), but there's some pretty/cool/fluent women on there. I found I had to switch around my profile after a while because I stopped getting 15-20 hits a day and started getting 1-2. Switching the region you're from kind of helps too but some of the good hits I got on there lived 2-3 days of travel away and I couldn't be fricked to do that unless it's somewhere I want to travel to.

Thursday we're going up to a great beach resort (about 2 hours from Clark by car and then we have to take a boat), so hoping to meet some girls there to share with my girlfriend (she's really in to that, we've done it a few times now and I am sure not complaining). She's usually the ones to find them, she'll ask me if I'm in to the girl and if I am we'll chat her up a bit and see what she's like.

Lots of people ask me if I'm afraid of catching something but my girlfriend has some uncanny ability to tell if a girl is dirty when we're about to have a threesome.

                Anonymous

Samegay but my girl usually fricks the other girl first and then I take turns with them but I never eat the pussy of a hookup. I'll eat my girl while fricking the date or make out with her or she'll just watch and play with herself.

There was another time where there were four of us and the guy was a real deal cuckold sicko. He video taped (without my face) his girl sucking me off and he talked the whole time saying shit to the camera about how turned on he is that the girl he loves is getting pleasure that he can't give, how much bigger the bull's dick is, etc. He wanted me to frick her missionary and then cum in her mouth for the ending part and then he was going to cum on the floor next to it. It was fricking insane I was literally in a porno lol. My girlfriend was like "did you have fun?" with a huge smile.

inb4 larp but this shit is actually what we do for fun sometimes. I have a few more good stories.

My girlfriend's friends always ask her if I have a brother they can date (I don't) but they always ask to see me when they talk on video chat. Eventually my girlfriend asked me if I wanted to have group sex with them. They all live nearby so we rented a pretty decent hotel.

I honestly thought she was just fricking with me. No, they all showed up there together. We had dinner because I think they were hesitant to go for it and I guess I charmed them. They were all giggly and after dinner up we went. The shower was huge and they all bathed me and I washed all of them.

The bed was kind of small so I had breasts and arms and black hair in my face like crazy. Two of the girls and my gf were super in to it, taking turns blowing me, it was overwhelming. The other girl got shy and I didn't do much beyond touch her body and kiss her a few times.

I can hold my cum really well if it's a girl I don't know well and apparently I got them all off. My girlfriend grabbed my arm and they all knelt down on the floor and she wanked me off until I came on all their faces.

I'll bite the bait, how did you pull that off? I mean how did you convince your holiday gf to have a threesome? Power move by the way, are hotel guest friendly in PH? Rent a room in a 5* hotel like Park Hyatt in Manila and have a threesome would be like living the life.

                Anonymous

She wanted it. She's the one who offered to do it. I wouldn't even dare to ask her because she caught me with another girl in bed because her name was on my hotel designated guest list and they gave her a keycard.

The hotel staff watch you, and I told them she was my "wife" upon initial check-in. When they saw me waltz in with this 4'10" 23 year old after my gf went home to check on her dad I got worse treatment so lesson learned there.

I've stayed at a few 5* in Manila. The staff are extremely friendly (of course they are, you're the money) as long as you are respectful and friendly. When I was at City Garden Grand (that tiny girl I was talking about before) I brought that girl there with two of her friends who (needed a place to stay) and slept with all of them at once for a couple days. I had three of them in bed with me. I mentioned this previously in this thread or the SEA one but the two friends went home and the initial girl was an absolute clinger. I eventually just got a friend I met to come down and take her to his room. Pic related, it's her.

I was quite taken aback by her personality. She mainly dated mega-rich Korean and Japanese guys her whole life. Why she's in to it she says "it's just for fun" which I am completely fine with.

I'm guessing she just really wanted to hang on to me, but she enjoys it. It's different if it gets super intimate where I'm kissing and loving on the girl rather than just railing her and shoving my wiener in her mouth.

You'd have to just experience it and I highly recommend PH if you want that kind of experience.

I forgot to mention part of the story with my current gf and that lay I had with pic related. She caught me with her naked in my bed while I was working on my computer at the hotel and barged in. They fought verbally for like 10 minutes until they gave me an ultimatum about which one of them I was going to choose. I said I choose both. I slept in bed with both of them that night.

thanks for sharing your story, pretty wild tbh. A lot of people shilling City Garden Grand, it's pretty cool but still I find Seda more appealing even though CGG is in a better position. Park Hyatt is really something else though, for a wild night I'd go there.

Actual Ilonggo living in Iloilo City here, and I'll shill my city to you. I was born and grew up here from a middle income family and life has been mostly comfy. I have a girlfriend who is from Cavite (right outside Metro Manila, but practically a part of it I think), but she wants to settle down with me here.

Iloilo, compared to other cities like Cebu or Metro Manila, isn't that big and everything you should need is within reach and the general cost of things (food, services) is reasonable. If you drive, there's traffic and slowdowns on the road, yes, but the city isn't that big so you won't have to spend forever on the road.

About progress and corruption of the government and that sort of thing, I suppose Iloilo is one of the better places as you can actually see the improvements and additions to the city over time. The current administration is pretty good.

For stuff to do, there's a decent variety of tourist spots to see like mountains or beaches. Guimaras and Boracay are also nearby islands worth seeing. Iloilo food is also quite decent quality and variety-wise.

On an unrelated note, I'm a cyclist / biker and there's also a decent variety of routes and trails to choose from whether it's roads or trails that you want.

comfy, I've heard good things about Iloilo, I saw that it has pretty cool colonial buildings plus the city name is too cute.
                Is Panay worth a visit?
How is Guimaras island? Any cool beaches out there?
In PH I'd go to Bantayan or Siargao, Borocay is cool but too popular and pricey imo.

                >Is Panay worth a visit?
Sure, though I must admit it's not as packed as Cebu. Cebu has quite a lot of activities and destinations and also has Bohol Island nearby.

Anyway, in Panay, I would say there's Iloilo City for the food (batchoy, pancit molo, baked oysters), and the province of Antique for beaches and mountains (try looking up Mararison Island or the river resorts in Tibiao). Other islands/beaches of note in our area other than Boracay or Guimaras are Isla Gigantes and Sicogon Island,

                >How is Guimaras island? Any cool beaches out there?

The beaches are decent but the quality of any particular beach does depend on the resort you choose. Good enough white sand beaches, just not as fine as the powdery white sand in Boracay. But much fewer tourists compared to Boracay, and how touristy the beaches are would also depend on your choice of resort. The most touristy resorts are Raymen and Alubihod.

One major highlight of Guimaras for me are the island hopping trips that leave from the resorts in Nueva Valencia, as the snorkeling portion of that activity in that area gets you extremely close to corals and colorful fish. My girlfriend, who has gone snorkeling in Palawan and raves on about how beautiful the corals are, has also really enjoyed the one we did in Guimaras. Compared to Palawan, the snorkeling in Guimaras gets you extremely close to fish and corals, so much that you can scrape your knee on the corals.

I must admit I'm not that familiar with Blacks Oriental; I have never visited despite it being so close.

If you're on Facebook, the Facebook group "DIY Travel Philippines" can be one of the places you can search around.

Searching "Blacks Oriental" gets me posts like these easily:

all right thank you for the tip, I meant Sagay city btw, I found out that is in Blacks Occidental. Also from Cadiz you can take a ferry and go to Banyan and from there island hopping up north and visiting some of the places you mentioned. Too bad it's a pain in the ass reach Blacks Occidental, Bacolod has an airport but from there to Cadiz I'd have to take a taxi and maybe they'd rip me off. Also the less foreigner the more I'd have a mark on my head and I don't really like that.

I only frick girls that live by themselves and take me on dates. I liked to be wined and dined, I'm a spoiled b***h. I see a simple minded simpleton wearing flip flops and living with her 45738 relatives in a nipa hut and i just laugh. Alot od these houses don't got a choice tbh

How do you guys meet the other women and do you use condoms with them?

Sorry I fricked up what I wanted to post there. I won't frick the girl if there's any sign she's pozzed or smells funny or has warts or some shit. A lot of them will show you their test results that are really recent and I have not once caught an STD. I got a UTI once and that was a white girl. My two other friends caught it and that's how we found out this girl was screwing all three of us at the same time in college. Lol

I really couldn't decide because I wanted to keep banging both of them, but my current gf ended up coming with me upstairs and then that part about the crazy black dude coming down and scooping her up happened. She went and fricked him I think and then I didn't see her again.

I went down to the door guys and told them not to let her and her fricking friends back in because they were trouble. They obliged. That night we went to Royal Club and sure enough that previous pic related is there with one of the other girls that slept in my bed.

She was trying so hard to show her body off in front of me (which I will admit was pretty hot but I had the other girl with me and I would have easily went and grabbed her waist and walked her right back to the hotel for some more). The other girl I was in to though and was taller/better assets so I put a leash on it for that night. Just made out with and grinded the frick out of my now gf in front of the other girl. I walked out of the club with her and didn't look back. Never saw her again.

samegay but I saw some pretty huge spiders in the rural areas and centipedes and some of them are poisonous. Snakes as well. In my country we have some pretty gnarly insects (for example, the mosquitoes here are half the size as the ones in my country), but that was hard to get used to. Also the lizards are kind of gross but you get used to it. I was dumping some garbage out in the bin and this pretty massive spider was in the bin and that is not pleasant at all. My girlfriend went to look and said it was a poisonous one and I'm lucky I didn't stick my hand in there and get bitten or I'd have to go get a shot for it.

Can anyone explain the living on $500 a month meme? Any particular areas? Or is your best bet a luxury hotel? How much USD all expenses included are you looking at to go the luxury route?

      Anonymous

Depends when you book it. If you wanted to come tomorrow for example it'd cost you about $350 for a week in a lux hotel, even cheaper if you booked it in advance. Also gets cheaper if you are a regular guest there.

That's just your room keep in mind. I think a beer in the lux hotels is about ~80 peso. Cheaper at the side bars like ~50 peso. However some places have breakfast buffets which is all you can eat and it's like 200p.

You can get a decent meal for like 250-300p as well and one thing you'll find here is they don't skimp on the food. Even when I eat with my wife's family, holy shit the ladies spend like 8 hours making the dinners and it's a fricking lot of food.

You could get by on $500 a month surely but you'd have to be a bit more thrifty and it definitely wouldn't work to stay in a lux hotel unless you literally live on Ministop and don't do anything. It is possible and guys do it but why even bother to come here if that's your budget?

Maybe some other anons have a better system but the way I saved money was to just move in with a Filipina. She buys all my food/alcohol/everything and I fork out like 2000 peso a month with is the equivalent of around $40.

This is not including my party budget however because then shit starts to cost more and I'll fork out like $120 a night.

Do these hotels care if you stay there long term? I want to look into SRRV but knowing me once I'm there and comfy, I just won't want to come back to the US to get money. How long do you think $100,000USD would last someone just trying to live modestly as long as possible?

          Anonymous

Not at all. In fact they encourage it, and there are specific hotels that do long-term stays at a decreased rate. SRRV is a pretty good idea if you're serious about coming here and it exists for a reason (you have money).

That's a better situation because I'm still in my late 20s and had to get a Filipina pregnant and marry her to stay. The biggest issue I've had is getting my money transferred here.
You'd do at least 2 years on that if you're pretty thrifty. Honestly I bet you could do far longer than that. That is a huge pain in the ass wiring money here and there's fees but carrying a lot of cash is also not a good idea so it's a double-edged sword.

I have to use my US bank accounts to fund this blessed hellride but I was diagnosed with lung cancer a couple months back and don't really give a shit what happens at this point. Just going to ride it out and have as much fun along the way as possible. I had nothing to live for at home and just worked all the time, and it was worth absolutely nothing at that point so I just hopped on a plane and learned the ropes here.

I don't feel sick anymore though. When I first came I was really fricked up from it but it almost feels like it is regressing and I am 100% sure it's because I'm not so fricking stressed out anymore.

Do you have any leads on these types of hotels? Are they called anything in particular? Greatly appreciate your time and effort by the way.

Sure thing man. I'm waiting for my wife to get up so we can frick, go eat, then go out for the evening. I didn't really have any guidance when I came here and learned basically all of it from a few people online and just going for it and coming here. Had some bad times, but the good times far outweigh that.

Yeah I didn't really have much going for me back home beyond a decent education and job. My wife was pretty horrible and had no intention of improving herself. She laid in bed all day, did not clean up after herself and had the mentality of a fricking teenager. My mom got really sick and ended up passing from it in like 2 months. All my friends became expats or were just too depressing to be around.

I really didn't want to get chemotherapy but I seem to be doing okay now. I can have sex with my wife here every day and started eating again and don't feel like I'm going to keel over any time I move around. I am certain I was dying from stress and this woman is nursing me back to health. It's pretty amazing what giving all that rat race up has done to my life. I wake up happy and smiling and not pissed off and grumpy. That stress shit will kill you.

I would have died in some hospital bed had I not made the decision to come here and say frick you to the world. I read some quote in another thread that really summed it up well:

It's pretty sad that millions of Filipinos are trying to leave here. I'm starting to think they're taking this place for granted. However, most of them are dudes with kids and wives who are trying to get citizenship so they can feed their humongous families because Filipinos have way too many kids (I have no issue with this, it took me literally one ovulation period to knock my girlfriend up, but if you're poor like slow the frick down man).

You can live just like that. Just go for it. What's stopping you? I was literally dying from cancer and coming here completely changed my life for the better. At first all the crazy shit scared the shit out of me but I adapted to it and will never look back now.

My VAX card doesn't have a QR code and I got it from those mass Vax sites so it doesn't look like it captured my info properly. Can I still get in to the Philippines or are they gonna kick me out? USA origin.

You needed the One Pass when I first got here but I don't think they even check anymore. I don't think they'd even give you shit because I only brought my Government issued one and they asked me once where my One Pass, I went over to some containment area for 15 minutes and did mouth/nasal swab and they sent me through security.

It might be best to go to the airport early in case you have any bullshit happen because I flew here in mid-March. I don't know if shit has changed or anything. The only place I need to wear a mask is in taxis, government buildings, and when walking around the MPs (who take that shit off all the time and when it's super hot outside they are pretty out of it. I saw an MP literally sleeping in front of one of the banks with a loaded 12 gauge.).

They will ask for that QR code shit when you land in Manila for sure, but if you don't have it, they're not just going to turn you away the point they stamp your visa. You're too valuable to their economy as an American sad to say but that's pretty much how it is here.

If you're really worried about it not being used, my experience is my vaxx card has my government's name on it and shows I've had three jabs and nobody ever batted an eye, but I did need to get the One Pass at customs.

              Anonymous

Without the partying because I drink, I probably spend about 1200 peso a month just to keep our lights on and the water bill and shit. It's so fricking cheap to live here and we have a pretty big house for the Philippines. Her brother died in a car wreck and her parents died as well so it is just her and me living here. With the partying it's probably more like ~15,000 peso a month.

              [...]
              cheers anon, stay safe.

Seda is really nice but I liked City Garden better. It's pretty much the same shit but I just liked the staff and area more. There's way more to do around City Garden you'll get bored at Seda if you like the night scene.

It's really picking up again since the election. It's more fun and there's more people out walking around and you don't even need a mask.

Manila Hotel was pretty boring it was basically just rich Flip families with their kids and shit and the bars required you to dress formal so I had to order all my food to the room. I dress pretty casually here because it keeps the thieves/fiends away from snatching at you. That's probably the best advice I can give when you come here beyond don't put shit in your short's pockets and use a strap bag if you're going to go it alone. You'll meet a nice woman eventually if you keep your head screwed on tight. There are some nasty little prostitutes who will have sex with you, drug your drink and then take off with all your shit so make it a habit to put everything in your safe at the hotel any time you need to make a purchase or use your phone.

It's fricking moronic anywhere you go even the staff in charge of it don't have a clear set of standards for it, especially in Philippines. It's so bizarre. Some places you go it's fine, nobody even checks it, other places are really strict about it, but most places don't give a shit. Airport it's hard to say.

I wish I could give you a clear answer but like I said the people in charge of this shit don't even know how to deal with it by some clear protocol.

When did you have c-19? Its immunity fades within weeks. You obviously need the vax because you caught covid in the first place. Your immune system clearly is weak so you really need to get vaccinated before you catch it again because it will probably be much worse.

          >When did you have c-19? Its immunity fades within weeks.
The vaccines fade within weeks. Naturally acquired immunity due to an infection is stronger and much longer lasting. Studies have shown full immunity for 18 months after being infected. Vaccines start to fail within 2 months and are almost worthless by 5 months.

I spoke to an infectious disease physician and he said a vaccine provides up to 3 months of coverage meaning he was working as a frontline physician without being protected.
Despite having 3 of the vaccines, and not being a fat old homosexual, I still got sick with covid. I got Sotrovimab and that cleared things up really well

thanks for sharing your story, pretty wild tbh. A lot of people shilling City Garden Grand, it's pretty cool but still I find Seda more appealing even though CGG is in a better position. Park Hyatt is really something else though, for a wild night I'd go there.

comfy, I've heard good things about Iloilo, I saw that it has pretty cool colonial buildings plus the city name is too cute.

How is Guimaras island? Any cool beaches out there?
In PH I'd go to Bantayan or Siargao, Borocay is cool but too popular and pricey imo.

I looked at Park Hyatt after you mentioned it and that's my next stay when I go to Manila. Looks awesome.

Looking at my own vax card, I could see how it could easily be faked. There's no barcodes or QR codes on it to scan and it's just filled in simply with handwriting. Get a friend to fill it in for you though obviously so it's not your own writing on it. The fields can be made up just make it feasible.

all vax info is logged into a state health database that they *could* verify- this includes all immunizations you've received - tetanus, hep c, MMR, etc.

How is some filipino gonna verify it? They aren't gonna be able to access medical records, there isn't a qr code, there isn't anyway for them to know if it's fake or not.

How’s the dentists in the Philippines? Prices and experiences etc.

      Anonymous

Iloilo City guy here. You get both bad dentists and good dentists, which I suppose is true for any other place. If you don't get any recommendations from other people, you probably won't know how good a dentist is.

I'm happy with my current one and she doesn't charge that high compared to how good her service is: 10USD for dental filling (pasta) and 160 USD for a root canal.

I'd guess prices would similar for other dentists in our area. Probably more expensive in Metro Manila.

Jesus Christ that is cheap. I'm starting to get pain in my molar and want to go get the cavity removed. First cavity I've had in 10 years and was worried about this but holy shit is that relieving.

        What site did you meet

        Tinder

        [...]
How do you guys meet the other women and do you use condoms with them?

I honestly just got lucky and I'm the same guy so you know. The girl I met is freaky and no I never wrap it here. I won't frick the girl at all and just pull out most of the time unless they want me to cum inside (most of them do because they want a white baby).

Does your gf allow you to frick other women by yourself?

Sure if I want. Tonight I'm going to walking street because it's Friday but we just got back from a boat trip to this remote as frick camp which was a blast so she's tired. We climbed this huge hill and man what a beautiful country. I'll post some pictures of the sunset and shit.

I digress. She's tired as frick from that trip but I'm bored and slept all day, haven't fricked in like 4 days so my balls are swollen. She doesn't even care as long as I don't "date" another girl which is a grey area. Sex is cool but that's it and I respect that so I don't kiss my dates on the mouth or "make love" to them. I just frick them silly, blow my load inside or out depending on their preference, and boot them out the door. I'm booked to stay at Score Birds for tonight then I'll just leave in the morning.

I can related with many of these sentiments. It's a bit pseudo scientific, I agree, but I think my Crohn's disease was cause by stress from my job in tech. I was too young to not care about shit. I quit my job and had almost a year to chill and be at peace.
        >Some of the girls you'll meet online are duuuuuuumb though
In North America, a woman's stupidity can be a huge barrier to slaying her dumb c**t. Spent 2 weeks feeling like a desperate homosexual trying to bang an Indonesian airhead on the side. She was always busy with nothing.
        >Luckily I can get the medication I need here for pretty cheap
What do you take? Not just loperamide I hope

I ended up with ulcerative colitis but I can get the medicine at the clinic here easily and have it scheduled on my regular 8-week routine. Yeah it's funny almost pathetic they always have an excuse not to go for a date or something because they're simply lazy I believe. Dealt with that shit many many times and now I just end the conversation when I sense it.

I can get Infliximab (Inflectra, the alternative I got back home Remicade is like 5x as much and it works just as well)

        >The stress of my business job at home along with the monotony literally gave me IBS
How's it to live with IBS in the Philippines?

What kind of diet do u follow?

I got IBS from stress playing online poker for living. And moving to the Philippines soon, in Taguig, near BGC.

I've managed it pretty well and I will correct myself and say I have UC. I can eat the street food and the rice is one of the better alternatives overall for this kind of disease. cont

Inflectrabro, I'm surprised you have access to that medication in PH. It seems like too much of a 1st world medicine, and a white person disease to be administered there (imo Asians are healthy as frick compared to whites). What are the other patients at your clinic like? Do you pay out of pocket for it? Right now I'm completely covered for the $1800/8 week IVs in Canada

            Anonymous

Nah you can get it but you'll pay for it. It's one of the bigger conflicts I'm having with living here, but luckily my gf's a nurse and gets it. I have only had it administered at a clinic once and forked out a good $500 I think?

Second infusion I had recently my girlfriend went out somewhere and came back with a saline bag and the inflectra and administered it right in our house. Still costs a lot though and I have no idea where she got it so I'm kind of dependent on her in that regard. I have to go back to my home country pretty soon anyway so I'm trying to figure out how I can manage that because it's outside my budget in the long-run.

If I end up working here I will look for health plans and see if it's covered. Otherwise I probably can't stay more than a month at a time. Girlfriend missed her period and we're pretty sure she's pregnant so it's conundrum atm. I can work remotely luckily.

Sorry forgot to mention I am completely covered in Canada under Blue Cross and Pfizerflex or whatever that shit's called. Before it was Janssen that was covering Remicade but as you likely know they changed it to the biosimilar.

Interesting, but also somewhat worrying. I hope what she's doing, by getting Inflectra from X, is legal and other people's meds are going missing. If you're both going to be parents, you don't want that sort of trouble, and even then, if you're not, that's something you dont want.

Pfizerflex told me they are capable of delivering meds to clinics outside of Canada. Snowbirds with IBD can get it delivered to the southern states, for example. Look into that maybe.

Still very envious of your caring nurse gf. Sounds like she'd make a good wife.

Yeah that's kind of where I'm at now man. I have to go home to get a steady dosage but the girl I am with refuses to live in an extremely cold country, so it's touch and go. We're going to have a kid and I can work in a system which allows me to travel which is what we've been discussing trying to figure this shit out.

I have been in communication with my rep from Pfizer and they said I can get it sent here but only if I am on a work visa and it will require like 6 weeks of waiting which would require me to travel home. They were not happy when I explained to them that my girlfriend here is a nurse and administers it from home, so I just bullshitted them and said I paid for the clinic and was lying.

Yeah she's great man. I don't know how the frick she knows but she put an IV, got the drug and did it from home and I was honestly astounded that she knew how to do it sanitary in our fricking living room.

It's honestly probably better than the shit you can get in your home country. I take Valium and man the "5mg" knocks me on my ass for a good 8 hours at least. It's good shit, which is to be expected in a truly free market rather than the bullshit they feed you in a regulated system.

To put it simply, if it's in a blister pack, you're safe. Don't just take a single dose from someone buy them in a blister pack.

                PayMaya is now maya.ph

It's better than GCash in that you can get visa/mastercard physical cards (for places that don't accept it) and it's a full on digital bank

You just need your passport and a philippines SIM card to open the acount

GCash is pretty big here and it's a lot better than paying your stupid israelite bank back home some fee (on top of the fee the banks here charge you because they've caught on too) a set fee just to get money transferred.

God I just grow to hate money grubbers even more each day. Obliterate them all and let human beans humans bean

For you fans wishing to move to the Philippines, this is my electricity bill for a 2 bedroom condo, 1 air conditioning running 24/7 in the bed room. Quite expensive if you ask me but frick it. It basically rivals American prices but the rent is only 400 dollars a month.....food is on par with the usa...more expensive for dairy....but services literally 5-10x cheaper. 1.50 usd for a fresh haircut, 6 dollars an hour for a massage, 7 dollars for a full house clean with laundry, no more than 10 dollars to ride from talisay to lapu lapu (one side of the city to the other). Big Mac meal at McDonald's is 3.75 usd. 2 pounds of chicken breast is 4 dollars. 4 tomatoes, 2 large onions, 1 cucumber....1.75 usd at the local farmers market, and they ripped me off

You're doing it wrong to start, anon. Get some girl and get her to cook all your food for you, you will not have to do shit I guarantee and speaking from experience. Who the frick eats McDonald's in PH? Are you seriously considering coming here? They're going to eat you alive.

Went to La Union a couple months ago. Yes there is definitely some nice beaches with surfing. We left from Manila but my friends have their own car. Took about 3 hours. Place was a blast and our hostel was right on the beach.

We went to a walk-through museum type thing and saw some old artifacts and this "mansion" as well as a rock beach which was neato. There was an insect exhibit which I noped the frick out of.

Nice beachside bars there but it rained both nights we went which kind of sucked. Also saw pic related and there was some speech belting out of it in what I think was Tagalog, but might have been local dialect because even my girlfriend couldn't understand it.

The surfing was fun and I'd only done it once before that so I wiped the frick out a ton, but the water is clean and the people are pretty nice to foreigners.

what is the longest you can stay on an extended tourist visa? 59 days? info is not easy to find online

      Anonymous

You are talking about the 9A or temporary visitor's visa. Maximum is 59 days yes. If you want to stay longer, Philippines is one of the easiest countries to do that. Just go to a Bureau of Immigration and ask for an extension. You will have to apply for an ACR card (alien certificate of registration) and you will get a 2 month extension. After that you just have to go to the bureau every 2 months to extend for 2 more months. Unlike other countries they are not strict here if your visa expires and you extend too late. You'll just have to pay a bit more. Like 10 or 20 bucks per month of expired visa and that's it. No prison or deportation and ban like thailand for example.

If they get white skin after you they will be respected in the Philippines. Those people are super into white skin. Yes flips are generally on the smaller side and not just height so hopefully he gets your genes there.

Pinays are more submissive and will do anything for their husband. Mine for example cuts my fingernails and toenails while I'm lurking SighSee on my phone. Try finding a white girl who would do that.

Would a pinay wife tolerate this?

Anyone have advice if I want to find a wife who is able and willing to become a medical doctor in the US?
I would assume that I should hang around the biological sciences campuses but I'd like to get her earlier than that. Perhaps I can buy a Mensa member list and track them down?

I want to bring her over here and have her educated so that I can be a househusband.

have you ever used Gcash app? It's a digital wallet app and it seems pretty popular. It might come in handy during my trip there.

      PayMaya is now maya.ph

It's better than GCash in that you can get visa/mastercard physical cards (for places that don't accept it) and it's a full on digital bank

You just need your passport and a philippines SIM card to open the acount

Yea bro, use it to pay my wifi bill. Also use it for FB marketplace purchases. Another useful app is maxim or lalamove.....basically personal courier services. Instead of meeting someone from Craigslist to buy a second hand super nintendo or whatever, Kuya will pick it up and deliver to you and work as the middleman. No ID no nothing.....great for delivering "packages"

One thing I've noticed...Philippines is a great place to disappear. Most all transactions are done in cash. It's one of the few places I've been to that doesn't ask for a passport for a Sim card. It's one of the few places where you can rent a hotel without a passport (albeit not a nice one)......hell I've rented whole damn apartments with nothing but a fistful of 1000 peso notes. Overstay your visa, literally no one checks unless you step in the airport or the immigration office. You could hire a boat to Malaysia if you really wanted to. True off grid living. Only thing you gotta worry about is accessing your money...it's really the only way your on radar but even then theirs ways around it

Don't buy viagra or any type of generic med from street vendors or touts. The stuff they sell is either

    1) expired
    2) expired and repackaged
    3) fake
    4) very, extremely limited change of being legit and given to them by dispensary to try and sell

Just walk into any pharmacy and ask for your stuff. Write it down and show the lady if you are shy. Nobody cares about you. It is not illegal to buy bonerpills over the counter.

Do NOT buy anything you put in your body from street vendors. EVER. EVER. EVER.

      Anonymous

Have never had this experience but I'll take your word for it. I have taken drugs from street vendors plenty of times and it always does exactly what you're expecting it to do.

I'm already here, got a girl that cooks my meals. We get all our produce and meat from the local market. Eat McDonald's when I'm tired of Adobo or tinola. Only about twice a month

Good on you friendo. Same situation. We're going to go out tonight and get some street food and party with this bar bawd we both seem to like (I like her anyway). Most fun I've ever had.

I am somewhat familiar with the asian markets because my Korean ex took me to them but this place is no joke. The good ones have some great produce. We're going to grab some legit Korean tonight.

You could easily do a one-way but it's important to find someone you know you can trust here. There's even scammers right at the embassy that will try to lure you for your passport then extort you for a stamp that is 3x as expensive if not more than if you do it legit.

Do NOT lose your fricking passport because if you're not near your own embassy you are definitely fricked.

        Anonymous

I can confirm this is true and I over-stayed my visa. You pay a small fine for it that costs like 20% of the cost of the extension. I'm on 2 month extension now but will probably be getting a year extension. Cost total was about 7000 peso for the current extension I'm on.

Will have to inquire with my girlfriend about what a year's extension costs but I have to go home and get some shit done so not sure if I'll renew. Girl is pregnant however so I have the incentive/moral obligation to come back here because she refuses to move to my country due to boredom/cold

In the major city centers yes. I wear a mask to walk in to clubs/in taxis but once you're in where you're going literally nobody is wearing a mask. In the fancier places the staff wear masks and half of them just hang it off their chin.

Hire a driver with a car.

I drive there. It's super stressful for most people.

Scooters, tricycles, jeepneys and lanes that come and go whenever they want, and cops looking to extort you because they know who isn't from here.

Frick no. It's so hard to drive here but for some reason they're better drivers than morons in the west despite the traffic.

It's utter chaos and my mind was blown the first time I saw how those scooter drivers blow through cars like it's nothing. It's pretty impressive actually and the cops don't give a shit. I've seen a total of one accident here and both of the drivers were drunk at like 6AM and the one guy literally split the other guy's motorcycle in half. Was pretty gnarly.

had a girl to the hotel over from Tinder. she brought her friend unannounced. we banged and then they demanded money lol. I said no frick off but they wouldn't leave so I called security and then they did. be careful out there bros. I'm pretty sure one was a troony so it was a double deception thing. stand your ground and don't let trickster prostitutes, cabbies etc. steal your cash. as someone else said, don't be afraid to stand your ground, they will cave if you push back strongly unless they're armed criminals or some shit I guess

This happened to me too except it was three girls, I had sex with all of them, and paid nothing but one of the little bawds stole my phone.

What's the process of entering the country like? Do they scan the QR code on your vaccination papers or just glance at them?

I had to go get that stupid One Pass thing or whatever it's called because I didn't have it and it took like ten minutes. After that, the customs officer just looked at it and let me through after stamping my visa. However, don't count on this, because you should be prepared with all your paperwork.

I have 3 jabs and if I go to a place that asks for that shit, I show them the paper with my government on it, they just look at that part and in I go. My PH friends all have to have their shit scanned as do my dates, but I get to walk in with no scan. I don't know why it's like that, but it is for me. Not sure if any other anons can share a different experience but wouldn't mind hearing it.

        >Trannies get *very* violent very quickly, so bear than in mind when you interact with them.

The average Filipino is like the size of a gnome. Not a big deal.

Not to mention timid as frick for the most part. I've met a few guys I would not frick with but they're not common. My girlfriend's family is full of these huge bastards and none of them say a word most of the time. They just watch everything. Safe to say, a simple nod is enough with them. I don't even talk to them and they don't talk to me, and it seems to keep the peace. Just mutual respect. However, most Filipinos are pretty dumb and not keen on confrontation but you will get hustled around.

Makati is where you belong if this is what you want. I'm more in to the deep roots, spiders/ants/weird bug you cant identify areas, but have spent time in Makati and it sounds like this is exactly where you'd feel secure.

There are specific areas of almost every city in PH that cater to exactly the type of thing you're talking about. You can easily move from place to place and be among richgay westerners who are there for sex and it's normal here. Just watch your ass.

You are far better off finding a long-term woman who has normal friends with normal jobs here and hang out with them as I think I have stated in this thread. It really depends on what you're coming here for, which I am guessing is sex. A lot of the women here will cater to that fact because 95% of the foreigners who come here are coming here to have sex with Filipinas and honestly, it's inevitable. You're going to end up recording yourself fricking a Flip on your phone.

The extortion is what you have to watch for, but Flips are timid and you can get out of it pretty easily. The trick is to act as if "if they frick with you, they'll end up dead themselves".

        Anonymous

I've spent a lot of time in Makati and I don't think its actually the rich kid area. It's the 'wealthy foreigner' area, which is fundamentally different.

BGC is local wealth. They are also more wary of foreigners there.
