Alright. Will be in Phoenix Arizona in like 12 hours.

What is there to do? I'm here for a week.

Travel one hour north to Sedona and take in the sights.

    >being able to do anything outside of staying in your suburban house and driving to strip malls
There really isn't much to do

I forget the name but one of America's best pizza restaurants is downtown near the convention center. Highly recommend

Hike Camelback Mountain. Hike the Superstition Mountains. Drive up to the Grand Canyon for a day. Go to the lava tubes in Flagstaff if you're up there. Honestly the coolest things in Arizona are outside of Phoenix

Stop at the parks in the evening and wait for the Mexican dude in his little, golf cart to come by and get an elote cup or cob. Then do some meth in the parking lot, any of the dudes walking around homeless should hook you up. The westgate entertainment district has more generic fun but should be worth it if there’s any event or band you would like to see already performing there. I guess Scottsdale for sushi bars and shit.

What’s Phoenix like bros? I’ve been to Las Vegas and Southern California plenty but never to the valley of the sun.

It's strikingly similar to Las Vegas, just not as dense but more spread out, there's even a few casinos.

Lived in phx my whole life. There is lots to do in and around phx. Remember phx is big with tons of smaller cities all around. If you like night life, bars and clubs, old town Scottsdale or downtown phx are good. More younger people go to Scottsdale. Mill ave is good for young college kids, IMO it is not as good now a days. Too expensive and run down vs a few years ago. In the day time just look at a hill or mountain and you can hike it. All free parking. Sedona is amazing for a day or 2 depends on how much hiking to do. If you drive parking is not free unless you write a note saying “I’m practicing my freedom of religion” sign and date. Free parking anywhere outside Sedona for hiking. There are so many empty wooded areas you can camp anywhere if you want to be alone near a small town to go in for supplies sometimes. Back to phx. It is an easy city to get around if you have a car of your own, slower if you want to take buses which are good too. Light rail only goes to certain big named areas, stadiums, air port, mill ave and downtown phx. Most food is good. Mexican joints can not go wrong with, if you like expensive we have plenty of that too. Anyone can easily have a fun time in phx if they want.

Also ditto this, find the the little hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurants where nobody inside speaks English. You'll realize you'll never have good Mexican food the rest of your life. You can try the drive through chains (Filiberto's, etc), there's nothing like those anywhere else in the world either, but don't consider them representative.

sounds like it could be fun

      What in particular?

Why would anyone go somewhere it's like 50C all the time?

What are you into? Some of my favorite destinations:
Endgame Bar in Mesa, AZ (fairly large console game and themed bar, with a club area that's active on the weekends)
      Baseball games at Chase Field
The Van Buren, Crescent Ballroom, Valley Bar, Shady Park are some favorite local concert venues
Walter Where?house (traditional warehouse rave playing techno/house vibes)
For more nightlife, Mill Ave in Tempe, and Old Town Scottsdale
I take all of my visiting friends to one of these restaurants:
Milan Claypot Kitchen - this is the best Chinese food I've ever eaten
Ohya Korean BBQ, Glendale - If you like stuffing yourself silly, one of the only legit Korean restaurants in the valley, featuring KBBQ, Japanese, and sushi menus, and two karaoke rooms.
Volanti Scottsdale - If you have money to burn, a fancy restaurant literally on an airport runway
And of course, make sure you visit an In-n-Out Burger, if you're not from the southwest.
For museums, there's the Arizona Science Center, Musical Instrument Museum
If you're up north, you can tour the Glen Canyon Dam

I don't know how hot that is, but anything <95F is tolerable because it's so dry, which is at least 3 months out of the year, OP will be running into the tail end of it.
