Phoenix to Seattle

I'm driving from Phoenix to Seattle later this month. Leaving on a Thursday and working on Monday so I don't have much time to go of course. Excursions need to be under 2 hours or so. Here's some things I was thinking of visiting
>Sequoia
>Golden Gate Bridge
>Redwoods
>Crater lake(may need to skip)
I don't think It'd be worth going to Yosemite if it's not a whole day/weekend thing. Any other stops you'd recommend? I've been to Grand Canyon, Death Valley, LA, Pinnacles, and taken the PCH before

      You're a fool if you can't do a 25 hour drive(low 20s if I don't stop anywhere) in 96 hours.
And if you want proof you're moronic, this is a common route coworkers have taken and done these things, I'm just making a listing the notable ones.
Also I lived in LA you're kidding yourself kek. The only coastal road would be if I went to redwood which isn't set in stone.

      >You're a fool if you can't do a 25 hour drive(low 20s if I don't stop anywhere) in 96 hours.
Assuming you're traveling during the day then it's more like 48hrs unless you're simply planning to eat on the road and such. You have major cities on your route that will clog during the weekends.

You're looking at 9.5 hours simply from home->point a, so unless you're leaving at 2AM Thursday you're going to hit traffic in and around LA. You'll need to leave stupid early to actually see the park since the main areas of Sequoia close around 4PM, you're in for a hell of a first day if you want to get there around noon and actually do anything rather than just simply drive through. You're looking at no less than 12 hours in your car to gas/eat/park/get to a hotel. This assumes NO traffic.

The B stop for golden gate I hope isn't your final destination, the bay area goes to shit early on Fridays. Assuming you actually want to see the red woods you'll need to power closer to Eureka or as close as possible because that shit gets fricked on Saturdays. If you think of Friday night in San Fran before a drive up the 101 on Saturday enjoy traffic hell. Given your stops you'll have the most time in San Fran so you'd be better off just making this your sight seeing day. Though you really should try to make it to the Redwoods if at all possible.

Sunday I suppose is your C->D route which is about 10 hours on google without much traffic where everyone is coming back from their weekend get away of the hell that is portland and seattle downtown areas. Assume 12hrs in the car before breaks/eating/etc.

Yes your plan is doable, but it's not going to be fun in the slightest.

Yes easily, you're learning a lot anon. Proud of you

Your plan is doable but it's really hedging your bets on a lot of traffic simply not existing, parking in the cities not being shit, and getting very lucky that the tourism is low when you visit each place you listed. You don't have to be a complete dickhead to anons giving you advice here anon.

Again as someone who lived in LA and has done long drives like this before, you're overestimating traffic when going around city because you don't know what you're talking about. Even if it was rush hour the entire time it wouldn't be as bad as you say. You're naive

I'm glad you lived in LA, however there are other parts of your plan that will screw you over. Mostly the places you want to visit along with getting from A->D this all with checking into hotels, dealing with getting gas+food, and all this with other traffic.

Your question is what other spots you should see when you're really squeezing your time?

              Keep in mind
Thursday you are looking at 12 hours on the road
Friday at least 6 if you want to stop at B
Saturday you are looking at 5-6 then enjoy everyone else trying get there via the 101, hope you are leaving around 6am if you want to spend time enjoying that park
Sunday looking at another 12 hours minimum

You see how there is some unbalance? I mean great you can take a few tik tok vids and instagram shots as you won't really have that much time to take in all that much.

I'm not going to everything listed in this thread moron
                >I mean great you can take a few tik tok vids and instagram shots
Yeah seeing Giants Sequoias or the golden gate bridge isn't worth it if you only have a couple hours for each.
                >Just don't do anything bro
                Grow up child

I'd go to Sequoia and explore Eugene Oregon if I were you OP. I'd say Vegas and grand canyon if you haven't been

Thought of stopping here too since I'm gonna be driving through. All I know about Eugene is University of Oregon. How's it compare to Portland?

I don't see any real reason to go to the cities unless you really like cities. I'd rather see the giant redwoods

I seriously haven't been there since pre covid. It was awesome then. Everyone I've talked to said it was in fact that bad, although here is no great shakes either.

    >Leaving on a Thursday and working on Monday so I don't have much time to go of course
You basically have no time moron, PHX to LA can basically become a parking lot if a chase happens or some drunkhead fricks it up. Same with the 5 to San Jose.

    >Sequoia
    >Golden Gate Bridge
    >Redwoods
You can drive through those but 2hrs is basically just enough to get parked->get walked to the place->head back to the car and get out of the tourist cluster fricks.

Anon, you're leaving thursday. A day when many people in LA begin to take off for a weekender and driving DIRECTLY through LA which can easily put you well behind schedule for you getting to Seattle.

The route you have can easily be fricked with the coastal roads being limited in lanes.

At minimum you're looking at 24hrs no accidents, 3x8hrs(or 4x6 hours+buffer for traffic) of driving a day puts you getting in Saturday night at the earliest or most likely Sunday given weekend traffic given your route. I'm from PHX, regularly drive to LA and sometimes SF. You're REALLY pushing your luck if this is for work. You might be able to do the bridge+Redwoods but not the rest of your trip if you want to make it guaranteed on Sunday before work.
