Not technically correct. You need to take the newly opened China Laos line into Thailand. Russia might be a problem right now if you are from a 1st world country, I don't know, I haven't checked.
t. doing it next year. Portugal to Singapore by rail
As this anon said, technically yes but you need to travel through Russia which is problematic currently. I still have a valid russian visa but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't let me is as a bong.

It is completely possible to travel through Russia at the moment, provided you have a valid visa.
Nah, Russia will not be really a problem, but Moscow - Beijing is something like a week? And if it will be a russian train, its going to be insufferable
When I am in my own city, 30 seconds on public transit and I am scrambling for my phone. A 12 hour bus/train in a foreign country and my brain can watch out the window like a movie without getting bored. Be more excited to see the world bro lol

Although the rolling stock might look older, Russian trains are more comfortable for long distances on average.
I did Beijing - Moscow and it was pretty comfy for what it was, sure it's not the Ritz but it's an experience and worth doing if you like trains

It sounds incredibly boring, you are just sitting most of the time and looking outside. After awhile your brain shuts off eventually.
