SE Minnesota

I'll be in the Twin Cities at the beginning of June for 4 days, what are some interesting places on the SE end of the state? I've considered going to Duluth but its 4 hours from where I'll be staying, so Im going to focus on the lower end of the state.
Any good parks or places to visit down here?

The twin cities are fricking boring. Do yourself a favor and do anything else. Go find some farming town in the plains of south MN and chill like a local. That's more exciting than the twin shitties (that's what I call them).

If you have a car I recommend visiting Hudson Wisconsin and Stockholm Wisconsin. Stockholm is a super small quaint town but the drive from Hudson to Stockholm is very peacful. There is a small museum in Stockholm about Swedish settlment and some amazing pie in that town. Stockholm and Hudson are two gems of the Mississippi and are way more fun than searching for shit to do in the twin cities.

You can totally make a very fun relaxing day just out of exploring these Wisconsin river towns.

The obvious is the Mall of America. Its easy to get to and great on a rainy day.

Next to it is my most favorite restaurant in the country, not the best, just my favorite. HAZELWOOD, make a reservation and you will be glad you went. Just about everything on the menu is amazing! I have sent just about every foodie friend there and they love it.

Otherwise the Art Institute, Twins game, Minnehaha falls,

Don't bother with Duluth. There is only the Dick Bong Bridge and the Dick Bong Veterans Historical Center. Some other pretty stuff, but it is a fairly depressed town.

I got MoA on my list and my hotel is across the street from it, I'll def check out Hazelwood since its right next to MoA.
Art Institute and the Falls are on my list. Twins game maybe. I'm just going by myself. I have a friend who lives in Rochester so one day i'll be down in that part of the state

Southern Minnesota has plenty of cute towns, that are all within some distance of eachother. Places like Red Wing, Parts of Rochester, Northfield. Lots near the river, Wisconsin and Minnesota sides. White water park is one of the best state parks, there is decent fishing there. The Spam museum in Austin. Twin Cities have lots to do, but that's a whole other can of worms. Decorah IA, is also really nice and not far.

Its good today is my last day because for some reason most places in the Twin cities are closed on M-W, must be a covid holdover. Fort Snelling, mill city museum and the art institute are all closed

OP here, thanks for all the suggestions, I was able to do most of the stuff on my list plus the stuff you suggested. And I got some interesting stories to boot from the people I came across there.
Maybe it was just because it was in the 90s+ every day but I really didnt see too many Somalians around the city except at MoA and even then it was lot of Mexicans
