Your questions are regarding a specific culture, and finding that making it SighSee. If you were asking something about transportation to these places, lodging, activity questions within them, or something actual related to getting to these destinations it would be one thing. Your question is specifically about a culture and regions of places with these cultures, making it int

also do you plan to ski? out west, the towns fitting your criteria tend to be at or near resorts as you've probably figured out. Driggs, Idaho is also very good. Do you like Mormons? Provo, UT is a great city but if you like to drink people are gonna give you the cold shoulder.

I don't drink at all. I've never been to Utah but there are some communities there that interest me.
Have you ever been to Park City Utah?

        Anonymous

yeah, park city isn't my cup of tea because I'm actually a Mormon and it's maybe the most anti Mormon town in America. Very Californian. Kinda like Colorado.

I've never been to any part of Utah but I would like to.
I'm not mormon but I respect their in-group preferences and hard working nature.
Where would you consider to be the *most mormon place in Utah? I'd like to experience that.

            Anonymous

The most mormon place isn't actually in Utah it's Rexburg, Idaho which is a small town with a mormon university (BYU-Idaho) is located. Seriously 99% of the town is mormon as there's virtually nothing there for non- mormons.

The 2nd most mormon place is Provo, Utah which is where the other BYU campus happens to be located.

            Anonymous

The other answer is technically correct but forgets the amount of tourists in the Rexburg area in the summer (close to Yellowstone) so you're going to have a wide spread of America. As someone who has been interested in your question I believe that small towns around Utah are your best bet, especially in the area immediately around a temple. Smithfield, new suburb north of Logan (very Mormon city as well) might be an answer. Brigham city in northern Utah as well.

Provo is appealing to me as it might be the most educated conservative place in America. The problem with Rexburg is the university is kind of anti-intellectual like a lot of conservative America and for someone like me, I tended to feel very alone there. Provo is full of very high-performing people and can be annoying if you're more typical, but if you just want to be surrounded by the best people and have that be your drive to improvement, then Provo is the answer.

Rexburg sounds great if it repels libtards with pronouns who castrate their own children and claim men can get pregnant

yes and most small towns in middle America are like that as well. the OP says "fit and intelligent" and I wouldn't call that type of America those things. Provo did have a gay pride parade and I feel the church is compromising some of their values in order to be hip, but I still think there is a happy medium. Depends on the conscience of the population. I just think Provo is full of the best kind of people

Rural Utah is generally almost entirely mormon with a few exceptions (Park City, Moab) but the little nothingburger towns you drive through are mormon to the core and look like they're out of a John Cougar Mellencamp song.

SLC suburbs are also very mormon as they fled the city itself due to increasing presence of globohomo. Provo is the home of BYU, the missionary training college and a bunch of the church officials so the mormon elite presence is palpable.

yes and most small towns in middle America are like that as well. the OP says "fit and intelligent" and I wouldn't call that type of America those things. They're trying to act more progressive but a lot of it is for show. They still tell you that gay shit is a sin but they allow you to at least come to church if you're gay but you can't get baptized I think. Zoomers don't really like organized religion and they're having trouble keeping church attendance up and the church has started to pander.

I don't particularly care for mormons but I do think they do the whole conservatism thing very well. They're socially and fiscally conservative but not buttholes about it. They believe in not destroying the natural world. They believe in helping the poor. The LDS church operates one of the largest free food distribution programs in the US and world. Utah lacks the corruption and lethargy you find in places like Mississippi. The country could learn from them.

The truly most authentically mormon town in America has to be Colorado City, Arizona since that's where the fundamentalist branch is located that still practices "original" mormon beliefs like polygamy and marring at 15 years old.

      >Do you like Mormons? Provo, UT is a great city but if you like to drink people are gonna give you the cold shoulder.
Just chiming in to say that I have in-laws in Provo (my wife’s uncle, an LDS convert, and most of several generations of his predictably enormous brood), and can confirm that it’s a really lovely town/city in a lot of respects, but may be a bit weird at first if you’re unaccustomed to Mormons, who make up close to the entire population. As an irreligious person I find the Saints really hard to understand, but they’re about as polite as people get, so even if they sometimes feel like aliens to me, I can’t deny that they’re nice.

Provo is basically a midsized, suburban, family-oriented college city, but mostly conservative and aggressively clean-cut, unlike most other college towns. Lots of very well-educated white folks who married young and had large families and don’t swear (or drink coffee or alcohol or smoke). But the infrastructure is excellent, it’s probably the cleanest college town in America (I’ve lived in half a dozen of them), and the landscapes starting just outside of town are extremely beautiful—I think Utah has some of the most jaw-dropping terrain anywhere in the United States, at least as nice as somewhat higher-profile places like AZ.

Personally I would sooner live in Salt Lake, which feels more like a real city and is somewhat more religiously diverse. But Provo is pretty easy to like.

I am really surprised not more americans want to move to Idaho, if i was american fleeing black people would be my priority. It looks secure ,non polluted, is it full of libtards or magatards?

Idk if you're aware but people are fleeing BLM infested cities like Seattle and Portland at such rates that property prices in the Boise area have quadrupled over the last 10 years. It is a pretty, friendly and conservative state.

Just be aware that boise is a libtard paradise, they are actively moving in blacks and refugees as fast as possible, in my neighborhood every junior high kid is gay and several are trannies, they march for every black criminal who gets put down and hate straight white Christian males with every fiber of their being. It's only five or ten years behind portland and Seattle

I live in Gig Harbor, place is fricking amazing. If any of you see the black Marauder lurking around, you can stop me if you're not too autistic.

So here's some things I love about Gig Harbor.

    1. What crime happens here, tends to come from other areas. Crime in unavoidable, but there is no random violent crime here at all. It's all domestic. Walking at any time of day at any place in zipcodes 98335 or 98332 would be safe. This is largely because there is a giant bridge that has a toll. Since it is a high income area that is surrounded by two higher crime areas (Tacoma & Port Orchard), there is a lot of property crime depending on what area you live in. But again, you could walk every foot of these two zipcodes at any time and you should never feel unsafe. This is something that was very hard to find on the coasts.
    2. There are lots of great views of mountain ranges and Mount Rainier.
    3. Tons of water views, oviously. It is an ocean inlet if you're loaded and can afford the fuel.
    4. It perfectly boarders the space between private, secluded and populated without feeling overpopulated (though old timers miss the old boat town).
    5. Since it is landlocked, development is severely limited. Furthermore, several chains have come in and pulled out over time, so the town has a reputation with companies that it is not a cash cow despite being a high income area. This is a good thing.
    6. It is 30-45 minutes from the capital, hour 15 from Seattle and a couple from Portland... not that you'd want to go to either, but really, the access there is great if you think about it. Closest major metro Tacoma is literally 10 minutes away.
    7. It has a temperate climate that isn't shared by it's closer metro Tacoma because of the water.
As a former resident of the midwest I wear a sweatshirt and shorts for 90% of the year and we go hiking and take walks in nature 3-5 days a week. There are state and national parks a short drive in every direction and at least one state park in the primary zip.
    8. Schools are very good for the area, not as good as high income midwest schools for some reason, but they're good enough.
