So, you're telling me you TRAVEL ALONE?

I was looking at all my travel photos, all the crowds around the world... and then it dawned on me: Where are solo travelers?
How come i don't spot ONE loner?

Where are you guys hiding, when i'm at a terrace Rome drinking Spritz with my girlfriend?
Where are you hiding when we are at the museum?
What are you doing when we are at the beach, at the restaurant and so on?
It's always at last 2 people, loners are not there...

I'm really questionning the fact that you guys actually exist.

Use dating apps (whatever is popular in your destination) and mention in your profile where you are from and say you have just moved there. You'll get some interest from women who sick of the local men and/or interested in other countries. If you're traveling to a destination where you look different from the average person or there is a big cultural difference, then you'll get even more interest. When you go on dates, just remember that it doesn't matter if you fuck up. It will improve your confidence level. Smile a lot too. If you can get girls at home (even if not too often) then you'll definitely get them in another country.

There are lots of single female women in hostels but they often travel in pairs
          These women are pretty slutty

Just let people know at breakfast that you are off to somewhere fun they might not have heard about
Talk it up and bang you have a partner or two for the day
          Often you will bang later

The big trick is to chose hostels with vibrant communal spaces and a fun host
I will often chose a city or town to hang out in based on fellow travelers raving about a hostel

Pretty much this. My wife doesn't ask for photos to be taken or to to to Instagram spots, but she tires quicker than I do on outdoor ventures and if you're with someone 24/7 it can take the mindfulness and immersion out of travelling. I'm far more focused, receptive, and stimulated when I'm alone and taking things at my own pace in a place I've never been. Travelling with someone you love and sharing the memories together is wonderful, but by yourself and out of your comfort zone is fucking surreal. It's the closest to a high I can get without actually doing drugs, I feel very 'alive' and 'present' or however else you'd like to define it

After I started browsing sighsee and read so many stories about solo travelers I’ve started to be on the lookout for them too. You aren't supposed to stay in the hotel the whole weekend mate you're supposed to get out there. Look up stuff going on, events, sports, comedy, art, anything. Look at museums to visit, activities to do, maybe a place you'd love to eat at. A weekend get away is larping that you are some rich person that lives in the middle of the city, who eats out all the time and does whatever you like and it's a good feeling

To meet people abroad literally just let people talk about themselves. When alone just enjoy the atmosphere and dont bury your head in your phone like a sub-human e-thot zogbot. Unless you're a fat slob people will enjoy being around you if you're present and a good listener.

Been in peru on a workaway for about a month. Really picked up the pace of my spanish comprehension, surfed about 3 hours a day and made about twenty new friends. If I had a girl I may have been able to do the same thing, but likely for $10 more a day (as opposed to $3-$5). Really think the people complaining about it are blowing it out of proportion, but I wouldn’t know. Never traveled with a girl before.

      >Really think the people complaining about it are blowing it out of proportion, but I wouldn’t know. Never traveled with a girl before.
The guys who enjoy traveling all the time with their girlfriends usually have girlfriends that are not demanding, slow to anger or get frustrated, are happy to do whatever their boyfriend wants, and lets him plan 95% of the trip. Girlfriends like that can be rare, depending where you're from.
Girls have similar complaints about traveling with their boyfriends, but the difference is that most girls really don't want to travel enough that they would do it on their own.
I bet the single traveler girls doing the workaway with you did not have the typical personality of the women you know from back home. That might color your expectations of what it would be like to share that experience with a girl you brought with you.

Many people find it easier to make friends on your travel because there are no long-term consequences for messing up (just change places if you dropped your spaghetti), people are more relaxed during their time off and smaller mishaps can be written off as cultural differences.
Obviously this doesn't apply to anybody bringing their *chan antics to real life.
